When purchasing a vehicle, I make it a point to give all the area dealers a fair shot, so when I…read moresay Hastings Chrysler Center went over the top to best nine other dealer groups to earn my business, I mean it. People in the Twin Cities always hear that heading out of town is "worth the drive" for a new vehicle, but this dealership actually proves it. They blew every competitor out of the water in every single category, from customer service to pricing, and they offered the absolute best deal by a long shot. The entire experience was exactly how buying a vehicle should be: clear, honest, and completely straightforward. A massive thank you to my salesperson, Kyle, the managers, Sam and Isaiah and Roger in Finance for making the process so seamless. Make the trip down to Hastings!

I have been trying to trade my car in but it's been difficult since I owe more than it's worth. So…read moreLogan from this dealership reached out because I was trying to get an idea on the value of my car. I explained numerous times that I did not have a co-signer or a down payment. I filled out the application and they started making inquiries after inquires. I was told that they needed to see my vehicle to get an accurate value. Fair enough! I had planned to go up there on Saturday and I was going to cancel but Logan told me he got me approved and congratulations. So I drove 40 minutes from Edina and when I get there Logan tells me he got me approved for a Subaru Forester. Not a bad car, but what was neglected to be mentioned was the car was a 2017 with over 150,000 miles and no warranty. Didn't let me look at it nor did they provide an Ipacket and there was no carfax report to look at. So I'm waiting and waiting to see this car when this kid from finance comes out to tell me I need money down. Now, I'm beyond livid. I explained to this kid that I had already told Logan I didn't have any money down or a cosigner. I said I drove all the way here for nothing and they wasted me time. If I'm told I'm approved and congratulations, that usually means the deal is done. No apology and this kid from finance didn't seem to care that he just lost a customer, but seeing that they only have a 2.9 rating is starting to make sense. Logan told me he had a number of different cars to look at but didn't show me a thing. I've been to other dealerships and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. Telling people they're approved under false pretenses, they should be ashamed of themselves. Stay away from this dealership.

Poor Communication and Wasted Time…read more Before driving to the dealership, I called and provided my price range ($39,000 OTD), specifically asking if this was too far off to avoid wasting the trip. I was told they could "negotiate in person" and to come in. The appointment setter sent the wrong address to their sister location. Upon arrival, the truck wasn't ready for viewing. After the test drive, I offered $39,600 out-the-door--higher than my initial phone range. The sales team disappeared for 10-20 minutes, then returned saying they "couldn't make any money" on the deal. No counteroffer was provided despite the truck sitting on their lot for over six months. The next morning (December 30th), I received a text asking if I could go higher. I reiterated my offer and stated I could finalize same-day. Despite year-end timing and their extended inventory aging, I never received a response. They also lowered their online price the Dec. 30th after claiming "They were making no money" Issues: * Encouraged me to drive in despite knowing my budget was likely too low * Vehicle wasn't prepared when I arrived * Refused to provide any counteroffer or specific number * Followed up the next day but then ghosted completely * Six months on lot suggests overpricing or underlying issues If you can't work within a buyer's stated budget, be honest upfront and save everyone's time.

Very pleased. One suggestion though...appraisal should be an add on…read more I was considering buying a car from a dealership 2 states away. Called Lemon Squad and paid the $330. 2 hours later the inspection began. Results were in my email 36 hours later. Inspector did a thorough job and included 72 pictures including one if the code scanner results. They also measured the tread depth of each tire and included all findings in an easy to ready report. Lemon Squad saved me the disappointment of flying to Illinois in winter to pick up a sports car only to learn the tires were barely legal after the dealer ad and salesperson repeatedly assured me that everything on the car was mint. The dealership has since refused to replace the tires (3/32nds) or discount their price as they are selling the 2001 Corvette Z06 with 22,000 miles as-is. Thank you, Lemon Squad, for helping a guy out.

I found major brake vibration on my first drive, a significant oil leak, and power running board issues almost immediately after taking possession. Instead of explaining how these were missed, Lemon Squad just kept sending the same canned response about their inspection being "visual and non-invasive." I wasn't asking for a warranty--I was asking why obvious issues weren't caught. The customer service was just as disappointing as the inspection. I won't use them again. They could improve by not having canned responses such as it's visual and non invasive. In one of the photos you could zoom in and see cut wires. I diddnt catch it because I didn't think I needed to indirect the inspector's work. All in all it was a mistake ever trusting them! So yourself a favor and just look up local mechanics and ask them to go do it.

I thought, nah, I will be alright, I can take it in tomorrow if it happens again. Fast forward another mile, I am pulled over calling roadside service because my car is now making a bizarre sound and shifting weird. I sort out everything with RA and they text me that Statewide is coming to get me and drop my car off at the dealer (yes, the one my dumb arse passed earlier). He showed up within 20 minutes, packed it up like a champ, had a lively conversation in the cab (again, saving me from a total tear fest - who needs car trouble), dropped it in the dealership parking lot like a champ (no scrapes, scratches, damage, just parked neatly like it never happened), and waited for me to fill out my key drop ticket. I have worked with a couple towing companies in the past, but the passion with which Statewide Towing showed for serving its customers tonight won them a spot in my favorites/contact list. I pray I never see Allen again under bad circumstances, but I am happy to know if I need Statewide Towing again, they will be there and ready to roll. Outstanding job! Edit 09/28: I ran in to Allen when I picked up my vehicle this week! What a funny guy, remembered me and had a quick, friendly chat. Hopefully this will be the last time I am in a vehicle conundrum for a while!
