I have been going to Jenny for years and she always does an incredible job. She takes the time to listen to what I would like done and my color always comes out flawless! She's also really nice, friendly and very easy to talk to during what can be a very long time spent in her chair. The entire staff is friendly from the manager to the front desk and everyone in-between. I always feel welcome and taken care of. I look forward to going here and always walk away loving my results. Traveling again and found out online they offer eyebrow threading, with brow maintenance listed as $10. As soon as I sat down I said my go to line as someone with thick brows that has been getting them threaded for 13 years now: "just a clean up, not thin at all". Early into the most painful threading I have ever experienced, and having my brows continually rubbed with a dry paper towel (?) and without showing what they were looking like etc, she finishes the entire job by painfully ripping tweezing at my brows and skin. Finally as I am eager to get out of there and fix what I can at home in the few hours before a wedding event, when going to pay I am told it will be $16 whereas their online booking clearly has maintenance separately listed as $10, and was not helped out with this at all other than being told it's a mistake. Far past the point of visible pain and clear disappointment on my end, followed by what is their surprise up charge, is where a good business would have already offered service to be comped or at least offer any assistance or empathy. Have literally felt compelled to write a review like this but this will be a bummer for the weeks and months it takes to regrow and reshape my natural brows.

Unfortunately, after today's experience, I will not be returning. I had booked an appointment for a color treatment today. After my hair was colored and washed, I was left in the chair with wet hair for over 45 minutes, with no one coming to assist me. I could see my stylist cutting another client's hair, so I went to the receptionist to ask if someone would be drying my hair. She informed me that I hadn't booked a blowout, so no one would be drying my hair. I was taken aback and asked, "So I'm expected to leave the salon with wet hair, in a gown and towel?" She replied that some customers do. I was in shock. I then approached someone else, and when I finally interrupted to ask what was happening, I was in tears from the embarrassment and frustration of the situation. This appointment was a birthday treat that my husband had arranged for me, and it was completely ruined. The owner was kind and apologized, drying my hair himself and offering me a 50% discount, but honestly, at that point, it felt insufficient given how upset I was. I paid, acknowledging the costs of materials and such, but I will not be returning to this salon again.

I had a very disappointing experience at La Mode, specifically with a technician named Kevin…read more I came in to have my acrylic nails properly soaked off and to get a gel set with a specific shape and style. I showed a picture of exactly what I wanted. Instead, Kevin chose not to soak off my acrylic, he filed down with the machine and rushed through the process, leaving my nails uneven with leftover acrylic still on them. On top of that, he cut my nails short and rounded them without ever asking me, this was not what I requested at all. When I politely asked if he could reshape them, his attitude immediately changed. He became rude and dismissive and then said, "I'm done here," refusing to continue the service. I was left with nails I didn't ask for and had to leave feeling completely unheard and dissatisfied. I do want to acknowledge that another staff member was very kind and apologetic, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience was extremely unprofessional, and I would not recommend booking with Kevin..
