I have been coming here for many many years ( since 1992)...used to bring my daughter as she attended all her special events over time. I am particularly pleased with color (by Ariana) and an awesome blow-out ( by Dierdre)! So very pleased with results. I've been going to Dieci for over 20 years to the spa with Marlene whom I loved. I went back for a massage and had Dmitry. I have a baby and was looking for 80 min massage to relax. DMITRY was violent and constantly said it was good to feel pain. I was not relaxed and he kept asking me if it hurt and it was good if it hurt. He also turned the lights on and made it very uncomfortable. It was DISTURBING and I should have stopped him. At the end he slapped my arms so hard and told me it was good to wake up my system. TBH it felt like abuse. I will absolutely never return to this place and I'm angry I didn't stop this after 5 minutes into the massage. read more

Review based solely on pedicure/nail area experience. I was probably here on an off day but I was not at all impressed with this place. Went for a pedicure with a friend who frequents here. The $55 price tag (without tip) for a pedicure with no frills was way too expensive for me. The area where you get your nails or toes done is bland and unwelcoming. While there is a gas fireplace in the pedicure area, the walls are cold and bare and there are only a few nail stains. Drying area is non-existent with only two dryers. My friend and I sat at separate ends in a corner - so depressing. Our pedicures got interrupted multiple times. Water overflowed all over the floor because it was left on in one of the pedicure chairs. That meant everyone had to grab towels and soak up the wet floor. They took out garbage bags from a side door just a few feet from the pedicure chairs. Ew. The polish selection was awful; not great brands and not a ton colors to offer. After all this, my pedicure wasn't even anything to write home about. Yes, it was nice, but the places I can go to for half the price without all the hassle and lack of pampering are abundant in this area. read more

I have come here 3-4 times before for a massage. Most recently, I booked 80 minutes of a signature massage with Dmitry, who I had never gone to before. It was the most unusual and hugely uncomfortable experience. He talked through the whole time, started cupping, even though I didn't ask for it- he said it wouldn't bruise but guess what- it did. Broken blood vessels everywhere. The most alarming part though was that it felt like he didn't always use the proper sheet draping techniques. At one point he even lifted up and bent my entire leg whereby it had to be impossible to remain properly covered. read more

Today we received x2 treatments with Dawn, both massages were amazing. I must say I was very pleased with the COVID protocols that Diego Spa have implemented. Appointments, Temperatures checked, isolating clients in individual sanitized locker rooms. Eeeeeeeeeeeeek is the right word for this place! Sorry but wayyyyyyyyyy over priced for a really inexperienced service!!! Ok so I had a facial there which costed me $90 which is a good $25 over the average standard price just so I could wear a plush robe basically lol I was told to dress into this terry cloth robe and enter into this facial room. The place was pretty and the spa area was very nice but I could have done with none of that if they actually gave me a good service on what I was paying for!! I had some young girl, younger than me and I'm in my 20's lol give me a facial. I explained to her, as I do to ALL my facialists wherever I go that I have very sensitive skin. She cleanses me with an abrasive salicylic acid scrub then proceeds to steam me and pop my pimples with a needle!! She squeezes the hell out of my face causing me to tear the whole 45 minutes I had to be there and then put some sort of finalization cream on my face that burned. I walked out of their hanging my head in horror because I was all red, blotchy, pale white like a ghost. I was embarrassed to walk past the hair salon people which was my only escape out of this place after she tortured my face for about an hour. The best part, she then had the nerve to pull me into one if their consultation rooms and try to sell me the salicylic acid scrub she used on my face that I was in pain about!! If you know anything about skin care products and have a remote idea about sensitive skin, why in the world would you put any kind of acid let alone an abrasive scrub on someones face who is super senstive!??!?! I would like to believe this person didn't go to school for this based on her complete lack of knowledge about skin. Which should be astonishing in itself that your going to this "high end" salon and paying a much higher premium for a facial then anywhere else and getting an inexperienced and obviously uneducated person working on you! It makes me wonder how places like this stay in business. Seriously. Stay as far away from this place as possible for your skin's sake! read more

I usually only get my hair done at Dieci, but after a stressful week I decided to get a last minute facial. Roxanne was great, I would really recommend her..but this was really was not the facial I expected for $150. Firstly, this is the first facial I have ever gotten where they do not use a steam machine. Considering I do not have perfect skin by any means, I really find this to be a staple to a facial. Secondly, I am aware this was not a massage and therefore is not meant to be as much of a "relaxing" experience, but I could hear loud thumping noises, people talking right outside the door and the music was a little irritating. Thirdly, the facial did not make much of a difference to my face and a couple of days later I find myself feeling the same way about my trouble areas. It may be that the products they use are so "organic and all natural" that they do not work as effectively? All in all, the experience was just "okay". I am trying to rate it fairly as I know a facial here cannot be up to par with one at a resort or hotel (some resorts give you use of a shower, jacuzzi, etc in the spa area). However, I have gotten facials at smaller and less prestigious salon/spas and have had better experiences to rave about and results that I was happy with. read more

Very low brow behavior for what purports to be a first class salon, just like when the owner put out mixed nuts (probably purchased from Costco....) with a sign to only use the smaller cups and not the coffee cups?! Today I went to get a pedicure done, also thanks to my husband: he won a Spafinder.com gift card. I WILL NOT pay out of my own pocket to visit this place for spa or pedicure. It is way overpriced. Can't recall much about the spa experience, except that there was nothing out of ordinary. Amanda was the lady giving me the pedicure today. She did a mighty fine job, but I can get the same service paying much less. I saw other reviewers mentioning the front desk. I had a nice experience walking in, but leaving was another story. I've been looking for a good salon in the area for the longest time and decided to take my chances at Dieci. The salon is absolutely huge and gorgeous! There is a waiting area for children and/or spouses. I got a haircut and a conditioning penetration treatment with Joe. He was amazing! His shampoo massage was to die for! He took his time and knew how to bring my hair back to life. I loved how they introduced me to new products but weren't pushy like a lot of salons are. Their boutique is huge and has a wide variety of products. They also have an awards system. For every dollar you spend, you get 5 points that you could put towards future visits. read more

We just happened to be in the area for the weekend and I badly needed a chop. My friend hooked me up and they gave me a 5pm appointment with Marisa despite a busy Saturday schedule. But when we couldn't make it on time, they accommodated me for 9 am the next day with Shaina. I don't like getting up early especially on a Sunday and the idea of doing it for a trim didn't help at all. But that's what I get for missing my chance. Donna B. did my updo for a fabulous wedding. She was spectacular. Perfectionist, detail oriented, obsessed. I deducted a star because although they were nice, the girls who handled my rollers seemed unprepared and confused on how to do it. Apparently they messed up because we had to wash my bangs part way through my updo when Donna realized there was way too much hairspray and she couldn't style my hair. Sandi colors and cuts my hair since I was in high school and Nicole Merc is usually my go-to if I need a bombshell blow-dry! I've been to this salon a few times for a blow out. I love the way my hair looks every time. The prices are a little expensive - I've paid at least $50 for a wash and blow out every time. My normal salon near my old home and work had entry level stylist options for a cheaper but still consistent blow out. I would love to see Dieci implement a similar system so I don't feel guilty every time I get a blow out! read more

I figured there was some misunderstanding so I called and the owner would not take the call/ call back. I want to like this place bc it would be so convenient but.. I went to get my hair colored, they didn't tell me they have different level stylist... I prob should have known, they didn't tell me after 120 hair color that they don't dry your hair, unless you book a separate blow out. Maybe I should have known... Maybe??, or maybe they could have told me these things when i booked the appt. The stylist showed up 30 min late.. Ok traffic happens... So.. I'm running late with wet hair and already annoyed and the receptionist rudely tells me I'll have to take the tip upstairs myself, she can't take it?? Left, really pissed off... They have a "valet" not sure why to pretend they are elite??? Plus after i get home I see that my hair is very red! the only thing I asked was please dont make it red.. I did go back and get it "fixed" and left with black hair..... I went back a second time to get a massage. Spa was dark and dingy. Its cheesy inside with fake pillars and fake ivy painted everywhere. Massage was ok, I like a strong deep tissue massage but it was so hard it was not at all enjoyable, I asked 3 times for it to be softer... ah well... read more

Have been going to this salon for 15+ years...Very clean and talented staff. The senior colorist Tracy is the absolute best. Lenny's assistant Sara does awesome blowouts. Recommend Sean and Akihla for haircuts and blowouts. Cons: A blowout is not included with the color. There is an extra charge. The conditioning treatments (10 minutes) are $10 extra. They don't tell you that when they ask you of you want to sit with a conditioning treatment. After paying $300 for color and highlights I think they have a lot of nerve to charge me $10 for conditioner. The valet puts cones in the spots closest to the door to reserve for himself so if you want to park yourself you have to park in the back. When he does that, I let him park my car but then I don't tip. ;) The cashiers are beyond rude. I hear someone complaining about them every time I am there. read more

My husband gave me a certificate for Dieci's candy cane manicure and pedicure for Christmas. It was supposed to be good through March 31, 2012. When I called to schedule, I let them know that I also have gel nails and UV gel polish. They were totally perplexed on what the difference of cost would be. I had to speak with no less than 5 people and spend 1 week to get the answer. When I finally arrived for my appt,, they had not scheduled the correct amount of time to allow for the "package" and do the "enhanced" manicure even though I re-specified again when my appt was confirmed 2 days prior! I had my pedicure on the original scheduled date and had to make a new appt to get my manicure. After speaking with the director about my dissatisfaction of how the whole ordeal was handled, she assured me that I would be "taken care of" upon my return the following week for my manicure appt. Well, I returned and things do not go much better. I do not truly believe that manicurist really knew how to do a gel fill-in and my Shellac polish is "pitted". And to top it, I did not get the full entitled "special manicure" package that my husband had originally purchased! I went to see the director to see what was going to be done and found she was not really caring too much. I finally decided to just pay a la carte for the services and it actually came out cheaper than they were originally claiming would have been the gift package + gel fill in + shellac. I agree with other folks that the price list is very overpriced for what you can get elsewhere and with better service and facilities. read more
