DON'T EVEN BOTHER GOING ANYWHERE ELSE! I am not from the Providence area, and I looked up reviews of different auto body shops after I was involved in an accident. I went to State Auto Body, and for what I thought would have been around $1000 worth of repairs, I received an estimate for $2500. Even though the other party involved with the accident was responsible for the damage, that number sounded like I was being upsold. Cue me looking into Dean Auto and Collision Center. I called Dean Auto and Collision Center, and I was told to come in for an estimate at my earliest convenience. As soon as I got there, I was greeted by a tall, dark, and handsome man named Dino who was going to give me an estimate on the repairs of my car. We walked outside, and he had a number for me within two minutes of looking at the car. Get this, it was almost half of the price of what State Auto Body was charging me. After looking at more of the work Dino and his crew did online, I knew I had to give my car to them. Dino treated me like I was his best friend. He is an extremely nice man, and he likes to bust your chops. Regardless, he even included a small part for my side mirror, a plug for my tire that had a slow leak in it, and he even gave my car a full reconditioning all for the price he quoted me for! I offered to pay him for the extra things, but he refused. I can see why so many people come to Dino for their car repairs now. The car looks brand new, both on the interior and the exterior. A small side note: with the amount of cars these guys take care of, be prepared to wait a fair amount of time for your car. Not to worry though! THEY GAVE ME A RENTAL CAR FOR THE TWO WEEKS MY CAR WAS BEING REPAIRED AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! If you need car work done, be it mechanical or auto body, please don't look anywhere else. I am referring everyone I know (and don't know) to come to Dino for their car needs. They take care of everything, and they can also set you up with a car while your car is being taken care of. The best experience I have ever had when giving my car for autobody repair. Especially because we didn't even go through insurance. This was paid for out of pocket, so Dino even had the chance to upsell me a little. He is a very upstanding gentleman and businessman who will take care of all of your car's needs. Dino will also tolerate you calling and bothering him about the status of your car, or anything that you need from your car while it is in the shop (I forgot my EZ-Pass). Trust me, I called and showed up a lot while my car was there. He may bust your chops about it, but it was all in good fun. I wish I had pictures to post with this review, but all I have is the prior damage to my car before it was repaired. Take my word on the fact that the car truly looks like I just bought it from the dealership. Dean Auto and Collision Center should be your first and only choice. Lucky me, I needed more body work done on my Honda Fit. So OF COURSE I went back to Dean Auto! This was a weird situation, because a local bike shop had incorrectly installed a bike carrier on my car, and as a result my rear hatch was dented in two spots. If it was my car, I probably would have just ignored it, but it's a lease and I didn't want to get dinged thousands of dollars when the lease is up. I also didn't really want to get my insurance involved, or screw the bike shop over with an overpriced repair (because I really LIKE that shop and the people who run it... they just made a mistake, which they were willing to pay for). Dino the wizard took a look and quoted $600, which was frankly a bargain given that they had to disassemble the whole back of the car to do the work. Then he gave me a free loaner car. As others have noted (with some snowflakes giving terrible reviews as a result), the repair took a bit of time... about three weeks. Because this is a very busy shop. But what did I care? What should anyone care when they have a free loaner car? Seriously, hike up your big boy pants and deal with it. Other body shops will hook you up with a rental, which you will pay for. At Dean Auto... no charge, no muss, no fuss. When I got my car back, Dino told me they actually had to re-paint and color match the whole rear door, which meant also re-painting the rear side panels... all so that the the job would meet Dino's very high standards. And of course, they detailed the whole car inside and out. And buffed out some little scratches elsewhere on the car that had nothing to do with the repair I had requested. At the end of the process, I gave Dino the $600 check from the bike shop, and he handed me the keys to what was essentially a brand new car. I am mystified by the one-star reviews of this business. Everyone on the staff is polite (and FUNNY, once you figure out the Dean Auto sense of humor, which is a thing). You get your car returned to as-new condition, your insurance deductible magically disappears, and you get a clean, well-maintained car to drive while the repair is being done for free. Everything is drama-free... except for maybe the situation in their parking lot, which is JAMMED. You know how they say you should avoid a restaurant with an empty parking lot? Yeah, that. Dino's lot is jammed, because he does A LOT of business, and for very good reasons. I can't say I look forward to returning to Dean Auto, because that would mean that my car is effed up again! But if it happens, I would not hesitate for a second to drive (or get towed) straight to Dean Auto. I'm trying to think of another business of any kind where I got such excellent service, such courteous treatment, and such quality work. I got nothing. These guys are the best, period. read more

My truck was recently crushed by snow, yes you heard right, CRUSHED. I started looking for a body shop expecting no matter who I went to I was going to get screwed in some way and that was just a fact of life. I saw Dean Auto had four stars and figured "maybe these guys just make you feel good about getting screwed". So I got my truck on a flat bed and got it dropped off. Dino came out and met us in the parking lot took a good look at the damage and knew that, being this was my first new vehicle, it wasn't just the truck that was crushed, I was crushed. He tells me with sincerity not to worry about anything this is 100% going to fixed as if it never happened, "Yeah right" I thought, what can I say I was having a bad day lol. We get the paperwork out of the way in about 2 mins and that was the last thing I had to do, I was completely free of the situation. They dealt with the insurance, put me in a solid non crushed vehicle:) and sent me on my way. The process was so seamless that I thought it was to good to be true. Well, about a month later (mind you this was real damage not a fender bender) Dino gives me a call and says I can pick up the truck. I was a nervous wreck "what if they didn't do a good job and my truck is never the same, what then?". I pull into Dean Auto and there is my truck. Now, I went over it with a fine tooth comb looking for the faults or some signs of poor workmanship. There were none, the truck looked and smelled like it did the first day off the lot, NO EXAGGERATION. I'm talking pristine, I'm talking not one mark. The lines and seams of the doors were perfect. To be honest I was a little in disbelief and still might be a little as I write this. If you are stressed about your car needing bodywork and don't know who to trust take my word for it or don't, they are as real deal as it gets. No catch, no settling. I NEVER write yelp reviews as you'll see (pretty sure this is the first) but Dean Auto deserved every syllable in this review and more, they really delivered on this one. The work is immaculate, Dino might be one of the best customer service people I've seen in my life and just a good person all around, and every employee I dealt with there was professional, personable and down to earth. If I had to say one criticism I'll say they were a couple days late on their time estimate not a big deal, its not like your carless. After seeing the work its clear that they're not slow or too busy, it's they take the time to make sure deliver perfection. Which is all I wanted from the beginning:) read more

Dino and his crew rescued me again! I came back from a friend's wedding this past weekend to find that my driver's side rear window wouldn't go up likely due to a worn regulator. I took it to Elite Auto Repair in Warwick, which was an unfortunate mistake as they charged me a diagnostic fee of $100+ for literally pushing the window button and informing me that the door's regulator had failed--I knew as much, they didn't even open the panel to evaluate the window's motor or PULL UP THE WINDOW! I had to drive around exposed to the elements--leaving my car liable to theft in a sketchy part of Boston. Enter Dino. He understood that I was busy with work, as I am a surgical resident, and had his first available guy dissemble my door panel and investigate the cause of the malfunction. After hearing my goals for repair and considering my finances, he truthfully told me that the price to repair the window may not be worth its cost to me if I don't mind the window staying up--HE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND PULLED UP MY WINDOW FOR FREE! Thankfully, he performed this miracle before the storm that is slated to hit this afternoon! Please, don't make the mistake of going to another shop. Dean Auto is the only place that I'll be going and recommending to my friends and other nurses/residents/attendings/etc at the hospital. I mean the guy is a saint! read more

I've been going to the Dean Auto Collision Center in Providence, RI for over a year now. It's been a great experience for my family with all 3 cars so far, both with professional service quality and the culture of the place. All people I've dealt with were respectful and willing to spend extra time to make sure I knew what they were going to do with my car. Certainly, the General Manager of the Center, Dino is instrumental in maintaining this culture. I feel very comfortable discussing with him all aspects of the car service/repair, as well as family matters. Wow, where to begin... it's all good! I drove into Dean Auto Center in need of bodywork. The many great reviews on Yelp gave me confidence, and Dino was cheery, reassuring, and even gave me his cell number if I needed to get in touch. I left my car and drove away in a brand new rental car, to use until my car was ready. Besides repairing the dents, the tears in the door, and the paint, he also fixed two scratched fenders, cleared the headlights, and did some needed brake work. And I'm sure there were many other little things he took care of, because he's the kind of guy who wants your car to look its best when he returns it to you. Dino handled everything with the insurance company, cleaned the car inside and out until it gleamed (he even put Rain-X on the windshield), and returned my car to me looking better than it has in years. I am very impressed with the quality of the work, the attention to detail, the graciousness of the service, and highly recommend Dean Auto to anyone needing car repair. By a freak occurrence my bumper came off my 2004 Volvo. Once years ago I found a scrape on the rear panel of my car. I stopped in and a man came out and looked at it. A few minutes later he came out with a buffer and I think what was compound and worked on it for about five minutes. When he was finished it was gone. I was ready to walk inside and find out what the cost was. He told me that there was no charge, I was totally impressed because in my business I do the same thing from time to time. On this occasion I knew exactly where to go. I spoke to a man named Theo. I had found a way to put the bumper back on but it was only on there because the trunk was closed on it. He looked at it and told me to come back the next morning. When I did, he came and looked at it and told me to sit in the office waiting room. An hour later my car was ready. To my complete amazement he told me there was no charge. As I sat there I noticed that every person that worked there had a positive attitude, there was no negativity. How could I not leave five stars for this business. It also inspired me, in my own business, to pay it forward. Thanks guys! read more

3 months ago my 2010 S550 got minor damaged (see photo) while parked in a parking lot. I went to Inskip and was given an estimate of $1900.00 for the repair. Crazy, right? I work in Providence and decided to check out auto body repair shops on Yelp. Dean Auto and Collision Center was rated with 5 stars. So, I called. Spoke with Dino at Dean. Dino said I could just stop in. So, I did. Dino came out to take a look at the car. He asked for my keys. Called Paul. Told me to give them 15 minutes. I figured another body shop "run around". Estimate, Insurance claim, and the car gone for weeks. I could not have been more wrong. Paul comes back with my car in 15 and the damage is gone. Amazing! I don't know what they did. The scratches were gone! Dino smiles and tells me just give Paul a tip. I never met Dino. Never have had to bring a car in for repair to Dean Auto and Collision. If I ever have a car needing Auto body repair it will be done at Dean. I found out Dean Auto body does reconditioning. I will be setting up an appointment soon! In a word. AMAZING! read more

Dino is the best! I was very worried about getting my car (2010 Lexus) fixed as I have fortunately not had to go to a body shop before, so I was nervous about how it would go. I found Dean's Auto and Collision Center from Yelp and decided to go for it. Dino was so easy to deal with, I had my reasonable quote within minutes. I had numerous dings, scrapes, and dents (some bigger than others) and he took the time to look at all of them and make sure he had them all written down. I also received a complimentary rental car which was an immense help. I came into this process with a lot of nerves but was immediately comforted by the professionalism of the place. He called me when it was time to pick up my car and when I saw it, I was so pleased. It looked brand new! But the best part was the inside of my car. I was not expecting them to clean and vacuum all the mats there, it looked AMAZING. I cannot thank Dino and the team at Dean's Auto enough! Dino and the entire team at Dean Auto & Collision Center were amazing. I brought in my black 2015 BMW 328i that had a number of dings and scratches and was looking world-weary. Dino treated me like family - he set me up with a great new car to drive around, and when he called me in to pick up my car a week later I couldn't believe it: the car looked better than it did when I bought it from BMW! The body work was perfect and I never knew black paint could SHINE like that! Plus, every detail of the car, inside and out, was spotless. I even left my umbrella in the trunk and it was clean and neatly rolled up and secured in the storage net. I bet if I'd have left pennies on the floor they would've polished them and tied them up in a ribbon for me. They are that careful and detail-oriented. The whole team at Dean Auto was conscientious, caring, and by far the best at what they do. I joined yelp specifically to give this place props. Had some fender/bumper damage when my mom accidentally backed into my car with hers on a visit home. I'd just moved to Providence a few months back so I turned to Yelp for help. Saw the positive reviews so I dropped by. Dino is just the ultimate professional. Gave me a time and price quote on the spot. Hooked me up with a rental. Fixed an issue with my brakes that I brought up After the fact but still charged me the first price (which was more than fair). To top it all off, when I went to pick up my car they had completely detailed the inside and out. They even cleaned the seats which had some water staining. I feel like I got a brand new car back. I can't recommend this place enough. I'm not big on online reviews, I usually feel like places are over-hyped or people nit-pick ridiculous small things. This place exceeded every expectation I've ever had of collision repair. If I move anywhere within a 200 mile radius I'd drive back to have them take care of my car. I will never bring my car anyplace else! This place was great! In January I hit a patch of ice, resulting in significant damage to my car. As many can relate, this is a horrible and stressful situation. Dean's auto collision towed my car right to there shop, gave me a rental. I was in and out. Incredible service. They took great care of me and made the whole repair process a worry and stress free one. I couldn't be more grateful for the service I received. Everyone is pleasant. There is not enough positive things that I can say about this place. Dino, especially was incredible. He took care of EVERYTHING. He was efficient, respectful, quick to respond and accommodating. Best imaginable experience. Dino was friendly, efficient, and professional. I will return to him if I ever need any more body work done, and will strongly recommend everyone I know to him. If you're looking for a body shop, look no further. The story: Came out to my new VW in the parking garage and there's a paint scrape and linear crease in the door. Not huge, but noticeable and painful for a new car. Of course it's on the driver's side door so I can't ignore it. Took the car to Dean's based on good Yelp reviews and proximity to my home. Dino was friendly and helpful, and gave me a reasonable quote. We set up a time and I failed to return at it. I called to set up another time and he continued to be friendly and professional. Brought the car in, left it, and it was repaired in a matter of hours. He even offered to have someone give me a ride. I still am waiting to get my car back but I am fully prepared to leave another 5 star review once I do. Driving to work my car was hit by a deer, yes the deer ran into my car, just the right spot to make it unsafe to drive and according to one shop, cost me thousands. I called Deans Auto after a coworker had told me about their experience. The very next morning, 7am Theo from Deans Auto had a rental car ready AND towed my vehicle from Plymouth to Providence at no expense. Did I mention I didn't have rental on my new policy and deans let me use one of theirs for FREE?! Theo gave me his number to ask for updates and communicate any questions or concerns I have. I have driven by Dean Auto for years and when I needed an Auto Body Shop I drove right by. I was referred to another establishment that was so large, impersonal and like a production line. I was told to come back in two weeks and things could get started. I drove away and knew I was not returning. On the way home it popped in to my head: go to Dean's. Best decision in a long time. Walked in and was kindly taken care of as if I was an old friend. The game plan for the car was explained from A-Z and before long I was in a rental car and on my way. I never called (even though I was encouraged to do so if needed) to check on my car as I felt it was in good hands and when it was completed they would let me know. When the work was done it was beautifully repaired - looked like a brand new 2005 Audi. Dean Auto and Collision outlined the expenses and were more than fair with me. I was referred to Dino at Dean Auto Collision Center, last week by my Attorney and after I had given him some quick info about my car, he had sent over a tow truck within "1 MINUTE or LESS", to pick up my car & I! What a BLESSING Dino & his shop have been to my Family and I, especially after the bad car accident I had been in, had turned our lives upside down. My truck's front bumper was all bent out of shape and I just happened to go into Dean Auto and Collision today to see if they could help. This was my first time going here and so I didn't know what to expect. Immediately upon walking into their office I could tell this place was different than most other repair centers I've been to. Dino and his staff were constantly in and out of the waiting room making sure everyone there was being helped and happy with their service. I was being helped by my man Nelson, who did an incredible job at salvaging my front bumper and went above and beyond what I had expected. Dino and Nelson walked me through what they had done after (in all under an hour!) and helped me get back on the road quick and easy. I always bring my car to Dean Auto when it is damaged. They provide me with a loaner car and take care of all of the insurance details for me. This time, our loaner car ran into a deer and smashed the front end. I called worried that we would be in trouble, or have to pay out of pocket for something, but Dino and the entire staff were so nice about everything. They said not to worry about it. A tow truck came to pick up the damages vehicle AND they sent a driver to pick-up my family so we could come get a replacement. The driver even made a quick extra stop so I could drop my daughter off at day care. My car came back looking brand new on the outside, they took care of the little dents, scratches, and dings that had nothing to do with my accident. I can't find the words to describe the best experience I have ever had with customer service and expertise . But here it goes... My daughter and I were in an accident around the holidays, a very stressful time of the year as it is. The tow truck brought us to Dean's... the customer service from the moment I walked in the door was exceptional. Friendly caring people and you can tell.. hard working!! We were in and out of there in no time... with a rental car and a promise of no worries we will take care of your car , deal with the insurance company etc... Boy did they deliver... when I got my car back it was not only fixed but the took the time to clean it and make it feel all shiny and brand new! Who does that???
