Unbelievable! One of those times you wish you could give it 6 stars. If we were grading on the curve this would be that brainy kid that wrecked it for the rest of us. It is in a strip center and looks very unassuming but it has plenty of seating in comfy booths even. The chicken is out of this world. The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich was astoundingly crunchy and juicy; just right. I did a 'build your own' with chipotle mayo and it was brilliant. Also got the 'Pat's Loaded Mac Bowl' with chicken strips and cheese curds over some mac 'n cheese with a little buffalo sauce on it. Just the right amount of spice and enough food for two (although do NOT skip the sandwich). That sandwich is as good as that Louisiana fast food fried chicken place and I do not say that lightly. It is just awesome. The slightly coated fries were crisp and delicious. Literally nothing to nitpick at. Just incredible. As an added bonus, they have a bit of Ren and Stimpy paraphernalia on the wall in the back. It is one of the most awesome places I have been in a while. Never tried this place before because there weren't very many reviews and I couldn't figure out if there was indoor seating. We were happy to find there are several booths in the back and high top tables in the front. Casual place with great chicken and fish options. With some healthy sides, like cucumber salad were delicious. I had the chicken tenders and they're huge. Very crispy and tasty. Hubby had a fried flounder sandwich with slaw and tomato that was on the specials list today and Manhattan clam chowder. He enjoyed both. We'll be back to try the lobster next. Dean's is our go to place for delicious takeout chicken sandwiches and wraps. These are generous portions and come with hot crunchy fries. They also have daily specials worthy of trying, e.g. chicken rice bowls. The first time we tried these, the meal was delicious and flavorful. Last night, however, the chicken rice bowls were a total miss with dry grilled chicken lacking of flavor. Sharing this mostly for a quality control check for the staff. We will be back. read more

We happened upon this little gem while spending a bit of time in Doylestown. The first thing that struck me was the crazy creative menu & super friendly service. I opted for the Greek Freak which consisted of Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Feta Cheese, Tzatziki Ranch, Mild Buffalo Sauce, Shredded Lettuce & Tomato. The chicken sandwich I will be dreaming about! The chicken is cooked perfectly, crispy, tender and moist. There are two pieces of chicken on the sandwich which is a bit too much for me, but a good problem to have. I removed of the pieces of chicken and ate the sandwich like that. I took the other piece home for leftovers. The fries are great and so crispy. The only reason I'm rating this a 4 is because I didn't love the fried pickles. They were over battered and greasy. If they used a different batter so it wasn't as thick, it would be better. read more

Amazing Chicken Sandwiches! We tried the "Dean's Hot" and the "Charlie" and both were so good. This was our first time and couldn't believe we waited so long. The fries were really good too. I'm really picky about fries and these were crisp and tasty. I've been complaining that we don't have a Popeye's or Chick-Fil-A in Doylestown but we don't need them with Dean's. Lobster roll was not worth the money. My sandwich was tiny and had mostly claw meat which was very rubbery. Would have liked some tail meat. The banana pudding was delicious though. Stick to chicken sandwiches- they are yummy. read more

I had a tasty lunch at Dean's yesterday. Of course, the fried chicken sandwich was on the top of my list to order. You can have your chicken either fried, grilled, or blackened. It was two large tender pieces of chicken on a round bun with more fries than you could eat. The chicken was very tender pieces of breast. I also had the Butter Nut Squash soup which was outstanding. Very delicious. There were a lot of people eating at Dean's so you know the word has gotten around about how good the food is. Check out their menu which offers a nice variety of chicken offerings. The waitresses were extremely polite and efficient. Dean's atmosphere was pleasant. Plenty of parking as there are other businesses in this shopping center. Prices were reasonable.. Large chicken sandwich with fries, soup, and drink was $18.00 which is the going rate for lunch these days. If you are hungry you will not leave feeling you did not have enough to eat. I enjoyed my lunch. Try Dean's. I think you will enjoy eating there as well. read more

Visited for the first time today. Only positive was the staff. They are great. Food....not so great. I ordered the Dee special. It came with a small amount of fries (you could see the bottom of the take out container bc the portion was that small), one small chicken tender cut up (that was dry) and about a 1/2 pickle fried. Very disappointed. My son got the Caesar salad with blackened chicken. It was soo seasoned and spicy that he could not enjoy it. It was a nice size chicken breast though. On top of a bed of lettuce. Nothing special. Will not be going back. Total waste of $40. read more

A new favorite for us. First my kids love the Chicken fingers, Lobster rolls and Mac and Cheese. They are so nice, especially the super friendly lady (owner?) who is often working the register. This place had a sit down area towards the back, but also had a lot of people getting take outs. It kept the same layout and system as the previous restaurant. No online ordering system yet. Let me start by saying the blond waitress was wonderful, as she was the last time we ate here. The issue I have is with her manager (?). we wanted to have a pleasant lunch out. My husband got the shrimp po boy and I got the lobster roll with mayo. With his first bite, he said, "Something's bitter. I think it's the pickles." He doesn't like pickles, so I assumed that was it. He pulled the pickle out. But then he wondered if it was the lettuce. He pulled that out. I gave our dog a little bit of lobster when my husband wasn't looking (he'd warned me not to give him something expensive. My bite of the lobster roll was also bitter. Was I being influenced by him? I took another bite. Also bitter. The dog refused the bit of lobster, though he ate the roll I'd given him. I asked my husband to taste and he said, "Bitter!" Neither of us had wanted to ruin our time together which, in retrospect, was stupid. I told the waitress about the bitterness in the now 1/2 gone lobster roll. She got the manager, a dark haired woman, who came over. She immediately treated us as if we were scamming them. WRONG way to address the situation, as we had no intention to not pay, understanding that a lot of the food was gone, and I didn't want any other food at that point. The correct way would be to say, "I'm so sorry." And I would have responded, "Just want you to check it out. I think it's maybe the mayo." I hope we don't get sick and hope no one else does. The fries were good as was the cucumber and onion side, though we didn't finish them. I had told all the women in our Buckingham community about Dean's and will now warn them. We won't be in again. To repeat, the waitress was outstanding as in my previous glowing review. read more

Really good! We've tried this for takeout and eat-in. The hot chicken sandwich is suitably spicy. We've also tried the shrimp po' boy in addition to different chicken sandwiches.
