Holy cow!!!! I drove past this place 3 times in the last 2 days and couldn't figure out what kind of food they served based on their sign and logo. On my way past the 4th time I was lucky enough to need a lunch break. The key word here is lucky because this place is a find! Okay limited menu only a handful of choices but you better have big hands because the portions are MEGA ENORMOUS! I got the 2 piece sandwich in medium hot with pepper Jack and when they brought it to me in a giant paper bag I knew I was in for a man vs food challenge. I mean just look at the photo. I was going to eat in but there is literally 2 spots at a tiny counter. Since it is a crispy hot fried chicken sandwich the size of a new born I didn't want it to get mooshy so I started eating this behemoth in my truck. It was a gooey greasy gift from the gods!!! The counter people are wonderful the food was a messy blessing and the place lacks atmosphere but I am glad I stopped in and will be back again.

First time here was so good we ordered again the next day. The prices may seem high for a chicken sandwich given there are nearby fast food restaurants which you think serve the same thing, but they are not the same. Delicious sandwiches tenders and fries served by a friendly staff.

Skip's Food Truck from Lancaster married the local Cruz family and gave birth to Skip's Wrightstown. The prodigy child was born with a chef's cap on and was fixing up some of the best fat/sloppy chicken and breakfast sandwiches east of the Susquehanna. God bless their souls! I stopped in on this rainy September morn to check it out. Housed in the old Village Market famous for its bacon sandwich, Skip's continues that tradition with a Dutch Country twist. My brioche wrap creation was a handful, with thick pork sausage patty, fried egg, white American cheese and a light spice spread across everything. First bite told the tale. It was a mouthful well cleaved through the layers and bursting with flavor. The Lancaster sausage dominated, but was ably assisted by egg and cheese, not to mention the soft freshness of the brioche roll. Def a winner. Service was friendly and informative with Cruz family friend handling the duties. He pointed to the old photo of the Skip's Food Truck hanging on the wall to help orient me to the lineage of the business. He was obviously proud of what they were doing in Bucks County and he was aware of the local history of this building. Skip's Wrightstown seems a perfect fit for this hardscrabble community right next to the Grange and Friends Meeting House at the intersection of Durham Road & Penns Park Road.

Done with Skips. Burnt egg burnt bacon at 7 AM in the morning.

Food and service are always great! First time I went in, the employee took time to explain the menu and options. Portions are big.

Insanely good chicken. Sandwiches are HUGE. Fries have never been soggy (skill issue). Solid and friendly service. The sauces are great too

Service was really quick which I appreciate because I usually only take 15 minutes for lunch. The place was clean, A+ for cleanliness! They had free magnets and pin back buttons. Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich - This was the biggest disappointment. The chicken breast was extremely thick and had a grainy texture that made me wonder if it was chicken breast with rib meat. If that's the case, it gives the impression that quality isn't a priority. The breading also fell off with almost every bite, and the sandwich wasn't well proportioned (one oversized tomato slice that wasn't cut evenly). Most importantly, it didn't taste like Nashville hot at all -- more like "Nashville not." Shrimp Po' Boy - Below average. The shrimp had a slightly fishy taste, and the bread didn't resemble proper po' boy bread. The greens were a spring mix, which felt like an odd choice. Traditional shredded lettuce would have worked much better. I've had po' boys in Louisiana, and while I wasn't expecting complete authenticity, I was expecting something closer to the spirit of the dish. This version missed the mark. Smash Burger - Probably the best of the three mains we ordered, but still just average. I've honestly had better smash burgers at chains like Shake Shack. Sides: The fries were great. We ordered the beer cheese sauce, which was fine but not necessary. The onion rings were the standout -- perfectly crispy with a clean bite. The homemade ranch served with them was excellent. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more, but the food didn't deliver enough for me to return.
