They even had Christmas decor up this last time around. Nice touch! There is a hostess upon entry (typically) who is ready to promptly seat you. Bar, high tops, and standard tables are all available options. I have always felt the service was standard for a relatively busy establishment. Just the right amount of time. They have people working the front of the house, as well as people in the back running food. Efficient! The food has been consistently good. Not outstanding, but nothing to whine about. They have customer service DOWN at this place. You can't knock the fact that it's primarily worked by highschool students, because dayyyum it's a tightly run ship. Don't be turned off by the initial crowd of people when you get there (It's usually really busy), the lines move really fast for the volume of people they serve. The longest I've ever waited for food was about twenty minutes and it was an order for eight people in peak season. If you're on the hunt for somewhere to go with good summer food that doesn't require you to drive all the way to the beach (I know, I know, so RI of me), this is the place to go. I think it costs me more to eat at Burger King so the prices are very family friendly. The chowder is excellent, the clam cakes are weirdly buttery in texture (in a good way! I really like them), the fried pickles are fried pickles (What else do you want me to say about them? THEY'RE FRIED PICKLES. OMG I LOVE FRIED PICKLES), the burgers are great! My usual order is a veggie burger (It's rice based and REALLY good. It's hard to find a good veggie burger as most of the people in search of veggie burgers know) with all the toppings they offer plus fried onions. Oh, and a toasted coconut ice cream for dessert. Bring some bug spray because it gets mosquito-y once the sun goes down! Oh, and speaking of - did I mention they're open until 11:00 in the Summer? I absolutely ADORE this place. The kids that work are always on top of the service line and are ready to help you, which is such a plus. Can we just talk about the crab salad on the bed of salad and the fried pickles? A godsend. Seriously. The chowder is nice and not too salty and a little on the slight peppery side, which is perfect. The prices are very reasonable and the seafood is a find for a place no where near the ocean! They're seasonal, so it's always a tragedy to be having a craving for the crab salad in the middle of the winter! read more
