I found them through Google maps and am so happy I did. The person who answered Sonya was so nice, helpful & informative. She was a pleasure to talk to and asked great questions. They sent the inspector, his name was Scott. He was kind & patient (when he arrived I was wrapping up with someone else). He called ahead to confirm when he was 30 minutes out. He was thorough and also asked great questions. After his inspection he walked me through some of his findings saying it would be elaborated in the full report. Another termite company had said I needed major fumigation on a building that Scott said had no termite issues & the "termite feces" was actually from crickets. You know how you get a good feeling from someone , I got that from Sonya & Scott. I was so grateful for his honest reporting as well. Very nice and ontime field workers, however, the Company charges ridiculously overpriced amounts. I fully understand there is a cost related to both chemicals and their insurance, plus their guarantees, but they are exaggerated prices, - even their staff agree with this. Both the man doing the initial Estimate, plus the on-site crew told me that if the job turned out to be less than they planned for, ( since they don't know until the actually do it), they would make an adjustment to their Estimate. So the Termite work was estimated to take 2-3 hours ( mostly digging and very little spraying), but only took 55 mins. And then the Wildlife Bat control which at first they said involved putting up special funnels, waiting a few weeks, returning, etc... was solved by just nailing a piece of wood over the hole/nest. Again, less than one hour's work. Total cost was $1,360. When I asked for an adjustment based on real work done, they refused and were condescending. ( even their field staff laughed on how little they receive out of that amount). Additionally, they made several administrative mistakes on paperwork, orders, but these are not so important to me, as their gouging on prices. There are many options out there for these services. Do yourself a favor, choose another company. This one is dishonest and almost scam-like. I hope this helps, read more

We were quoted $105 for the Sparta and an additional $99 if it was roaches. After the initial $105 spray they said it would be an additional $100 for the roaches. They gave us a time frame of 3-5 and showed up at 4:45. When I reminded Michelle of what she said originally and told her I don't have another $200, she got irritated with me. I used debolts when I was selling my house. The termite inspector was very nice and informative. They gave me a time frame that was reasonable to do the inspection on my house. So I didn't haven't to sit around all day waiting. They also gave me a call 15 mins before they arrived so I can put my dogs in the kennel. The receptionist shaylenne was very professional and helped me with all my questions about the findings of fungus/dry rot. She even emailed me the findings that normally only get emailed to the real estate agent. So I was able to look at the location and to see what needed to be fixed. The prices were reasonable and the staff was great. I would use debolts over again. read more

Debolt's was the company that escrow paid for when we closed on our vacation house in Idyllwild. The house had been vacant for 14 years and in disrepair, so the rats, racoons in the attic, and mice (especially the mice) and who knows what else had the run of the place for that long. There were so many holes in the house that the critters must have considered it their inside/outside area. They had one serious party and it was a daunting task to clear them out. After Debolt's first run the magnitude of the problem was apparent, with droppings everywhere, and a ton of hidden holes all over the house where the mice were getting in. The company went above and beyond, they came out to my house about 15 times. I'm on a first name basis with the receptionists. Tim, the owner, came out repeatedly, walked me through everything, found all the possible holes inside the house where they were coming in from. It was a tough problem but they kept coming back although they could have cut me off a long time ago. Since its a vacation house, I gave Tim the combination and he went out to the house many times to keep me updated on the progress which I appreciated since I live in San Diego and I can't drive two hours to see if there's droppings on the kitchen counter. I'm very happy with them and the fact that I haven't seen any evidence of mice inside the house in a while. They really stuck it through for me. Thanks! read more

We are having a horrible time with this company and feel like we are being taken advantage of. They are the only company licensed to work up in Idyllwild so we have no other options. I feel that have been very dishonest about work that needs to be done. I have investigated their claims and found that they are being incredibly misleading at best. They are jeopardizing the sale of our home. Just to give one example of their behavior, they wanted to charge $175 to put a couple of bait traps under our house. When I explained that I had already been putting bait under the house they said "well, if you want to take care of that part I'll knock $100 off the price." So, to be clear, they still would charge me $75 for doing nothing. Scott also discussed our home and his inspection with others without permission to do so which has put the sale of our home in jeopardy. I believe they are taking advantage of people up here because there is literally no-one else certified to do that work in this environment. read more

I had this termite company inspect my home before I closed escrow on it. They inspected for termites and pests. They obviously did not do a good job inspecting at all because the attic had rats. I was turning on my cable at the house which was the day after I closed escrow. As the technician was running wires through the attic he noted the rats. I even killed one of the rats as he poked his head down from the ceiling. I tried to contact the company as did my real estate agent. NOONE would ever answer or return or calls. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY to inspect your home. Poor customer service. read more

Never have an issue with appointments and never have to be there to "watch" them preform services to make sure there done. I contacted this company after some people recommended them. Called on a Monday and was informed they didn't have any availability until the following Monday. I went ahead and scheduled. The day of my appointment no one showed up. I called them to find out what had happened, was simply told that someone had canceled my appointment. I was a little irritated since I wasn't provided any explanation but wanted to give them another chance because they were recommended and sometimes administrative errors happen. I was reschedule for Friday of that same week. I day before appointment, I received a call and was asked if they could adjust It to a later time, I agreed. The day of I received another call and was told they needed to cancel my appointment altogether. Wth!! They asked if I wanted to reschedule for Monday but by that point I don't consider them a reliable company so I'd rather go with another one. read more

DO NOT and I repeat Do NOT use this company. They are THIEVES and LIARS!!!! We used this company for our termite inspection when we purchased a home. We had damage in several areas of our home. I decided to check their work after they finished, something that I am starting to do so that I don't get taken advantage of. I am glad that I did. I found six areas that were still very visibly damaged and some areas that were still marked by the worker. I called the company and reported this and instantly the lady went into attack mode. Of course they had already been paid so she stripped herself of the friendly customer service tone and was extremely hateful. She started telling me that I wasn't experienced like her staff so I didn't know what I was talking about. She finally decided to send out a worker and review the areas. Guess what? I was right. She called to make sure things were complete with no attachment of an apology. I decided to review the report they gave me to see if there were any other areas that they charged me for that were not done.They claimed they replaced a water damaged shelf, I went to the area where the claim was and the shelf was still damaged. I didn't even inform the comany of it bc I didn't feel like dealing with the woman again. On top of all this negative experience they stole all of our nuts, bolts, and nails that were hanging up in our garage along with the pull up bar in our master bedroom. They left a huge mess in my yard with scraps and nails everywhere which I am still finding. Unbelievable!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want things stolen from you and want work that was said to be finished but not done. Heed my warning. I do not know how DeBolt is still in business. They're crooks!
