Kevin in the office was polite and helped me schedule my inspection and later, he was professional and knowledgeable when discussing the scope of the work that the inspector found. We scheduled the work to be done and everything went exactly as Kevin said. Employees that did the work were also polite, did a great job on the repairs, and left the area clean. This company is a complete rip off. It cost me $300 for six traps. There are two follow-ups that have to be done within 30 days. I was told that I have to do all the extra work as far as covering certain holes around my house. I thought that was part of the package. I do not recommend this company. I was told that the $75 inspection charge would be applied to the $300 which was not. I'm still entitled to one more visit but I'm getting too close for the deadline. . Do not use this company. Crappy attitude by technician, who gave us a quote $4,000 higher than competitor and was a complete jerk. Owner Steve was no help, apologized & said he'd take care of the inspection fee- what a liar! He sent it to collections a year later. Appointment set at a specific time so I could meet tech there, and avoid him talking to the renters. It was Friday and he wanted to get back to Corona, so he decided to go early!! Hard to describe how rude this idiot was on the phone. I was doing the owner a favor by sharing how this tech was bad for business; I asked for nothing. Steve the Owner was full of garbage. 1 star is too much for these theives Steve's response is patently false. I have never been in realestate, was not going to have him meet my wife, nor was anything else about the response accurate. Unwillingness to own your screw ups is why people won't use a company's services. Good business people take accountability and make things right. read more

To make a long story short, if you want to be told "the only reason you're made is because I won't kiss your a--," when made aware of a problem, then this is the business you want. I've never had such an awful experience with any service provider in my life, and certainly have never been talked to the way he spoke with me. Unfortunately, I could not choose my exterminator because of our HOA, but you have a choice. Called this company up to see if they could beat an estimate from another company on some termite damage on the eaves of the house. They gave me a better deal so I went with them. They showed up on time and got right to work. They finished the job cleaned everything up and left. After they'd been gone about 10 minutes, I noticed some damage underneath one of the replaced eaves. I called up Steve and he sent them right back. They repaired the damage. Steve is pretty straight forward and to the point, so I see why somebody would think that he's rude. He's alright in my book. :) read more

I do not recommend this company. A good business should stand behind their warranty of work. We had our newly purchased home tented for termite by them. There was a one year warranty on our contract. Ten months later we had termites. When we called them, Sherry, a very impolite person answered the phone and was simply rude when we told her we have termites in less than a year. After several attempts, we were able to talk to Steve Young, the owner. He did not honor their contract either. We do not have the means to pursue them legally. We just decided to go with a different company. Please, do not support bad business practices. read more

All I will say is house was full of ants - ant spray, ant traps, vinegar & water, etc did nothing. On May 4, Lamar came and sprayed the house, and despite only a 30 day warranty, I literally, I mean literally haven't seen one ant inside my house to this day. I have been using American Exterminator for several years and am very happy with their services. Prior to using American Exterminator, we had used Terminex which claimed that they had to service our home monthly. After several issues with bugs and calling Terminex who had an excuse every time why they couldn't serve us other than once a month contracted visit (despite their guarantee!), we switched to American Exterminator. Since switching to American Exterminator, we literally rarely have any live bugs in the house but do find dead ones! So whatever they are doing, is working! Furthermore, they come quarterly which saves us money and their service is actually very effective. On the rare occurrence when ants appear when it is really hot, we have called American Exterminator and they get someone out relatively quickly and fix the issue. Lastly, during their quarterly visits, there is no need for them to enter the house to do their work. This works out great for me because I don't have to be home when they come. However, on those occasions when I am home when they come to service my house, they always ring the bell first to let me know that they are there. On a couple of occasions when they had to change the date of service, they always call to inquire if it is acceptable to me. Honestly, I wouldn't have even known so I appreciate their honesty. I couldn't be happier with their service and highly recommend American Exterminator Company. They are professional, reliable, honest and organized. read more

Just moved in to our new place & thought I saw a mouse,called American Exterminator.They came in a timely manner & their tech did a very good job,placing traps & spraying for pests.After a little more than a month,even though the warrenty was expired,Steve the owner was nice enough to have the traps removed(No mice found) & resprayed again.I will use this company in the future,good customer service. read more

I also had a bad experience. I could not believe how RUDE Steve, the owner, was to me. Therefore, I cancelled upcoming work I had scheduled w/them. I assume the repair work they did was good, who knows, no one ever asked or even let me examine the work. Steve just yelled at me to pay him. I had paid the agreed upon 50% down payment. They finished the work in 1 day, I just arrived home from work and they were at my door asking for the balance due. I called Steve and said please don't cash the 2nd check today, I will transfer $ immediately, please wait till tmrw morning. He literally exploded and just started yelling at me and wouldn't shut up. I was shocked and dumbfounded. After he ranted and raved, I finally asked him; "do you accept credit cards", he replied "yes", why didn't he just offer that at beginning of our conversation. After Knight Termite messed my job up on the home I bought I had American Exterminator Co come out and FIX it!! They had it all better and correct in just a couple days.
