    Lots of delicious candy apples.
    Dave S.

Still a five star! My first review was around two years ago at the time they started the Covid stay at home deal. These guys 100 percent went out of there way to help us. I've ordered from them once since then and now have caught up with them at the Artichoke festival at the Monterey Fairgrounds this weekend. Same great candy apples and the best customer service. There candy apples are the best my wife and I ever had. They have so many flavors from sweet ones to somewhat savory. These are sharing with friends and family. They took a hit during the Covid pandemic but are hanging in there. So lets support them, buy local. Last words... makes a great gift.

On the way from Silicon Valley to Monterey, my sister says she wants to stop at a chocolate factory in Hollister. Huh? Blow me away - there is DeBrito's with some of the most mouthwatering treats! Their caramel apples are huge (both the assortment and the apples themselves)! We're talking simple dips as well as elaborate concoctions with names to match! Juan was a delight - ran out to our car as soon as we drove up (curbside pick-up only). So we used the website to make our selections. At around noon, they had already sold out on some of the popular caramel apples. Once you bite into one, you'll get why sales are so robust! We drove away with 3 mouth-watering beauties, along with some dark chocolate apricots. (Of course I drove away with one hand on the wheel, and the other in the bag)!

We always place a big order around Christmas time for my husband's office staff. I can always count on (Juan) at DeBrito Chocolate factory to fulfill my orders. I always appreciate his suggestions and alternatives when they are out of my favorite specialty caramel apples because I might have waited too long to preorder. I appreciate the way they bill through email and the ease of the drive up pick up. The orders are always correct. The apples are perfect for party favors or just a sweet treat when you want to indulge yourself. I do miss perusing their little store they had (before Covid)in the past. I highly recommend these quality and delicious treats.

Earthquake (my favorite) and pica sandia (my favorite) oh wait I have quite a few "favorites "

Caramel apples are amazing! Sometimes too cute to eat! Limited hours and the store is still not open for walk-in but as long as I can still get my yummy caramel apples for gifts and of course myself I am happy. Glad to see a long time small business still open for business.

Yummy! I wouldn't get candy apple again. Just chocolate Carmel ones

I have been buying their products for over ten years. They used to be at the Gilroy outlets and local fairs. But I guess during covid everything changed. Their hours changed and prices went up. We drove over there to get some yummy candy and carmel apples. They no longer have the store to walk in and look at what you want. I got out and saw a sign to call a number for pickup only. The guy was at the door going over someones order and said for me to wait in my car and he would come out when he was done. So he said I had to call the number to order. Soooo silly. I called and he asked what I wanted. I wanted to look in the door because its stupid to be on the phone and have them say what they have. They no longer have the mints which were our favorite along with the discounted candy because I guess people complained about the quality of it. The webpage doesnt have everything there to see what they have or whats in stock. So they literally have to say what apples they have. I guess its pretty much if you want the carmel apples..... candy...goodluck. So I wanted two dark chocolate, but one that was given was milk (yuck). I understand they are trying to "keep themselves safe" but how are people supposed to know what they want if they physically cant see it. I like looking at a product and looking what is actually on it especially if I pay $28 for two caramel apples. I got the GF Jolt. Was damn near impossible to cut and not good, toffee part was like biting into a salt lick. They used to have between 20 to 30 options and if you go to order on their webpage there's seven different options of carmel apple. Also not many options for candy online. 4 of 9 options are out of stock. Overall this makes the buying process very frustrating and difficult.

WTHECK?!?!?!? We were out shopping at the Harvest Festival in San Jose when Jason, co-owner of The Coconut Hut, came back munching on something and in complete bliss. "You got to try these, they're called "Earthquakes"." He went on to explain they were bite size rice crispy treats with peanut butter, caramel and nuts and covered with chocolate. I couldn't bring myself to separate him and his 6 pieces of chocolate heaven bliss so I asked where he got it from and would pick up a bag of my own. He continuted to show me his GINORMOUS Marshmellow covered apple. WTH?!?!? There's an apple underneath all that?!?!?!? Needless to say, I high-tailed it down to the direction of the booth he pointed at. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ntY0kAgCyKgyMRUg2FDh9g?select=UBYU14bnqyc8LU6TPkJirw#YXS7HoptuDOc-PUYsHyGoQ What I purchased: EARTHQUAKES: Damn, Jason was right. These things are blissful. I love rice crispy treats. The Canadian loves peanut butter. This is the perfect marriage of the things we both love. I bought two bags (one bag carries six bite size) and I'm glad I did 'cuz there would have been a fight in our household. CHOCOLATE COVERED BLUEBERRIES: You can't go wrong here. These were perfect. CARAMEL TURTLES: These were delightful. Perfectly chewy with good mounds of nuts and covered in chocolate with a nicely toasted pecan. Well done. MACADAMIA NUT CANDY APPLE DRIZZLED WITH MILK CHOCOLATE AND BUTTERSCOTCH: SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! It's intimidating how big this thing is. It actually has WHOLE MACADAMIA nuts on this sucker (and not the small scrimpy kind either). The chocolate/caramal, butterscotch is just so perfectly chewy (although not sticky on the fillings, thank God 'cuz I couldn't stop eating it) and the green apple inside gives it the perfect crispy and salty texture. We cut into it and ate half. Two hours later, we couldn't resist eating the rest. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ntY0kAgCyKgyMRUg2FDh9g?select=UBYU14bnqyc8LU6TPkJirw#ftpZtOQiXj7ldagJ-sJfog http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ntY0kAgCyKgyMRUg2FDh9g?select=UBYU14bnqyc8LU6TPkJirw#BK0ARF0sWviHoY9OvPJRtg Damn these things are freakin' RIDICULOUS! SUCH GOOD CANDY AND AAAAAAAAAAMAZING APPLES!!! GO GET SOME!

A wonderful discovery on the way out to the coast from Sacramento. Tucked away off the main thoroughfare you'll find their little shop attached to the chocolate production facility. We were greeted by a very friendly and knowable staff member who educated us on the history of the company and how it still remains a family owned business. Plenty of goodies to choose from including some fancy caramel apples. We went with an assortment of chocolates included a very tasty salted caramel and some dark chocolates. The cashier told us that most of their chocolates are sold via fairs and weekend foodie events and only available in a few select stores. All the more reason to make this a regular stop.
