Per a Yelp check for a breakfast spot, found this place with Great reviews of huevos rancheros and chilaquiles and cafe de olla--so I knew we had to come here. It didn't disappoint! I got the Huevos Rancheros (no additional protein) abs my husband got the Chilaquiles with chicken with half red and half green sauce. We received a wrong order with asada and my husband thought oh well, we won't bother and it'll still be fine. But a little later he recognized it's a red sauce and I suspected we got someone else's order! And the server confirmed we did. She felt bad but we didn't have an issue because we were hungry. Mmm great breakfast place to start your day! They also have a delicious cafe de olla!! Everything we ordered was delicious! We enjoyed the chilaquiles, French toast, breakfast burritos and steak and eggs. Our waitress was nice and attentive, they have outdoor seating as well and was a clean establishment! It can get crowded on the weekends so it's best to go early morning when they first open. Definitely worth coming back here! read more

What happened to this place!! We waited over an hour for our food. Then after it arrived, they had forgotten a lot of things. The table is rusty, like they left it out to the elements and didn't bother to repaint it. My burrito was mostly large pieces of potato and a lot of burnt potato skins. Never coming back. read more

The food here is genuinely great, the chilaquiles are especially good and absolutely worth trying. Everything we ate was flavorful and well prepared. That said, the service is chaotic. The staff is very kind and clearly working hard, but the system itself feels completely unorganized. It honestly feels like everyone is on their first day at the same time. Tables don't seem to be divided in a logical way. Instead of one server handling inside and another the patio, servers are running back and forth between both areas, which slows everything down. During our visit, we ordered drinks with one person, placed our food order with who I think was our actual waitress, had our food delivered by someone from the kitchen who wasn't sure which table it belonged to, got refills from someone who may have been the manager or owner, and didn't see our waitress again until we had to go ask for the check ourselves. Kitchen staff were walking out with dishes asking around to find the right table, which added to the confusion. Everyone is friendly and clearly trying their best, but the lack of organization makes the experience inefficient and a bit stressful as a customer. I would still recommend Buenos Días Cafecito if you have time and patience that day. The food really is that good, just don't come in a rush or expecting smooth service. read more

Decided to make a pitstop for breakfast while we were in the area and it was so worth it. Hubby had tried this place before and recommended that we try it as he was craving Cafe De Olla. We were seated immediately (we chose to sit outside). The place looked clean, we ordered our food a few minutes after sitting. For our meals, I got the skillet and hubby got the chilaquiles and it was really good. The Cafe De Olla was a little too cinnamony for me but hubby said it was pretty good. We came from out of town and was recommended to eat here. We waited for over an hour to be seated a group of 8 with a baby. They couldn't sit us due to sitting 4 and 3 was not an option even though the other kids were teenagers until i told them. Food was good. This is my second time trying Buenos Dias Cafecito and I really like it. The food tastes just like authentic Mexican breakfasts. Ordered the chilaquiles divorciados which is essentially both green and red chilaquiles. If you are indecisive like me this is the perfect plate for you. It is paired with diced potatoes, two eggs(made to your preference) and refried beans. Every bite is filled with flavor. Everything on the plate compliments each other so well. The plate is also very big so you will leave there with a full belly. The coffee(cafe de olla) is paired nicely with the chilaquiles. The coffee has a hint of cinnamon flavor that elevates the already good coffee. They have indoor and outdoor patio so you have the choice of either or. I do recommend you to go early or else you will have to wait around 10-15 mins. It is worth the wait though. read more

This was my first time trying out this restaurant, the food was great and I would definitely recommend this place. I ordered the red chilaquiles with a side of steak. The chilaquiles had great flavor but I wouldn't say it's spicy enough. Everything was well seasoned and every bite was so good. My mom had the French toast which I did sneak a bite lol. It was a cinnamon French toast which had a swirl in the middle. We also had cafe de olla and that was alright, coffee could have been a bit warmer but overall it was still good. The place is kind of small and they have an indoor and outdoor area. They only had 1 server who was attending others, they could have used one other person to help. Needed a quick lunch while passing through Hollister, and my fellow Yelpers led us to this spot. Chilequiles were fabulous - I got half green and half red sauce and loved them both. I tried the Cafe de Olla based on Yelp's recommendation - it's a drink I had never heard of before but quite liked. The coffee aspect was faint - I think I would have preferred it as a more obviously coffee based drink - but the smooth cinnamon flavor, lightly sweetened, was pleasant. I don't have any other point of reference for Cafe de Olla so I can't tell how typical this version is, but it tastes nice and comes in a cute cup, so I recommend going for it! Our kiddo enjoyed her "Mighty Mouse Pancake" - very cute. Nice outdoor seating and colorful indoor artwork. I arrived pretty early on in the day and was served rather quickly. The space is somewhat big but I'm assuming they get full and might have a waitlist during their busiest hours.
