I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and got the irani chai. Overall, it was mid at best. The chai came in a paper cup but it just tasted off. It was super thick and had a nice buttery scent which was promising. When we tried it though, it had a super sour flavor, as if the milk had gone bad. I'm unsure what was giving it that flavor. The prices are reasonable, and the service was quick but probably won't be returning.

Was doing some errands and parked nearby this place. I had never heard of it so I decided to give it a try after viewing their menu online. The inside of this place is beautiful! They have really nice chandeliers and seating is comfy. I tried the zafrani chai and onion samosa. I usually have Indian chai and wanted something different. I would say the zafrani chai is decent, it already comes sweetened and has unique taste. The onion samosa was also good, it's just filled with onions, nothing else and is more on the salty side. The service could have been better, I walked in and the man behind the counter did not greet me,just waited until I was ready to order. Once he got my order, he called out to me to get it and did not say thank you or anything else. Overall, I would say this would be the first and last time I try this place.

Bun maska

I have fond childhood memories of bun maska, so when I found this place on yelp, I had to give it a try. We got the zafrani chai and bun maska. The chai was served in a flimsy paper cup, and the bun was also served in a togo container. The place is aesthetically pleasing; however, it is designed more for a takeout than a dine-in experience. Both the chai and bun tasted really good. They have a few other items in their menu as well.

Happy to find Deccan Morsels open in Sunnyvale. The parking, queues and crowd at Fremont location made it impossible to enjoy the experience. This store is located in Cala Center a few doors down the Apni Mandi/Apna Bazar grocery store. Spacious parking lot. Loved loved the famous Irani Chai and Chicken 65 wrapped in Rumali roti. The first sip of Irani Chai instantly reminded me of the chai from Niloufer Cafe back in Hyderabad. Most guests were pairing the Chai with Bun Maska. They had some interesting new items on the menu e.g. Bun Cutlet, Sulaimani Chai, etc. The interiors are similar to the Fremont and Tracy locations setting up a faux Nizami palace ambiance. Overall, enjoyed the visit. Looking forward to try the mutton specials in future visit :)

Ordered the irani chai off doordash to my work. Came hot and it was fresh. The taste confused me though lol and it has a funny after taste. I feel i need to try chai at a persian place and then compare back to this one. Cant talk on service or ambiance since did doordash, so only rating the tea.

I was at the CVS next door and saw this new restaurant so I went inside for a quick look. Apparently Deccan Morsels has another location in Fremont that is a fav for many people and this is their second location. The inside is really cute, it has these chandeliers and gold colored ceiling tiles. It is more of a cafe to me than a restaurant as they have more smaller items along with chai tea. I ordered the Irani chai as that is their signature drink. May be I am just not used to it but it is very creamy, like there is a lot of half-n-half in it. Not exactly how i like my chai tea but I will try their food next time.

Awesome bun malai. The malai was made so well and a good sweet treat. We also had the irani chai which was made so creamy and nice. We also enjoyed the vegetarian bun cutlet filled with a crispy vegetable bun

This was my first visit to Deccan Morsels, a spot known for Hyderabadi street food. I tried the Zafrani chai, Chicken 65 with Rumali roti, and the Paneer 65 wrap--each packed with flavor. The ambiance was lively, and the place was bustling with customers. I'm looking forward to trying their dessert menu next time. Overall, a great spot for a quick and tasty bite!

This place has the worst chai I've ever drank! 5 different kinds and all were undrinkable.

I come here only for the Zafrani chai. Best chai in town. The fries are okay. Sandwiches are not that good.

It's rare to find that at Starbucks anymore, IMO. So thank you!!! It makes a difference for my day and as I watch other customer interactions, I can see it does for them as well. Seems like management here must know what they're doing, but I hope the staff here gets some extra love after seeing this review. My drink was made perfectly- a tall iced pumpkin cream chai tea latte- so I'm happy I decided to spend the money. Spacious location with lots of seating. The only negative I have is that the bathroom- toilet specifically- is looking in need of a good clean. However, I also know how slammed these employees are and can see they're doing their best. Also I'm just glad there was an available bathroom. So no biggie.

Haven't been to a Starbucks in years but decided to try their new Protein Matcha (gotta fuel those gains). Ordered via the mobile app and my drink was soon ready! It's probably because I opted for one less pump of syrup, but the drink itself was not super tasty lol. It was creamy and bitter (but not bitter in a good way). It had 36g of protein though, so it's definitely pretty filling. I liked that the cup and lid were both compostable! Bathroom was also pretty clean, and they had a 3-in-1 sink, which I thought was pretty cool (or maybe it's been a thing for a while and I just haven't been out enough to see it). Overall would not get my drink again but would come back to Starbucks in general to use up my gift card funds!

Okay but... a hotel coffee shop with good matcha? That's the plot twist I didn't know I needed…read more We stopped here on my way out of Santa Clara heading to San Francisco -- it's conveniently close to a bunch of other spots, and since it's tucked inside a hotel, parking was ridiculously easy. (Underrated luxury.) Now, the hotel itself? Visually... a moment. It looked like someone invested serious money into it, but the design felt a little space-meets-startup-meets-what's-happening-here. Some elements felt elevated, others felt a bit makeshift. I genuinely couldn't tell what the theme was -- futuristic? celestial? boutique-on-a-budget? I'm still processing. The front desk team was clearly well-trained and knowledgeable -- they had every answer, every stat, every rate breakdown ready. But the warmth? Missing. I was hoping for a little storytelling since I'd never heard of the hotel before, and instead got a very matter-of-fact "we've been here five years" energy. Efficient, yes. Inviting, not quite. But let's talk about why you're really here: the coffee shop. Completely different vibe. Two people working, both genuinely happy, welcoming, and quick. We ordered a latte and a matcha to go -- total was about $22, which made me blink for a second -- but then I tasted the matcha. Oh. This wasn't the overly sweet, dusty-green situation you sometimes get. It tasted clean. Real. High-quality. The kind of matcha that feels intentional. I love Firehouse in Marin, but this? This was closer to serious coffee roaster-level quality. Smooth, organic-tasting, beautifully balanced. You could tell they care about what they're serving. Branding was strong, the space was cute, and I could absolutely see myself sitting there with my laptop pretending I'm writing something important. We grabbed ours to go, but it had that easy, airy, "stay awhile" energy. Would I book the hotel? Jury's still out. They don't have an in-house spa and mentioned bringing in third-party services for certain amenities, which made it feel a little less full-service than I expected. Would I go back for the coffee shop? Without hesitation. Delicious drinks, easy parking, quick service, and a vibe that actually makes you want to come back. Sometimes the side character steals the show -- and in this case, it's 100% the matcha.

Because, once again, I was distracted by the quality of the food, and there would be no way for me to do anything else, but to eat! Today, I was in the mood for something more than a salad (much as I wanted to preset what I had the first time coming here, I made a concerted effort to order something else...), thus I chose the Forager Flatbread. It took less time to make this time (roughly about five minutes after ordering), and when it came out, I marveled at how it looked like a work of art! Just beautiful! Each piece of herbed formage blanc flatbread had a nice, crunchy bottom (but not blackened) and a slightly tanginess, with a a good amount of "hen-of-the-wood" mushrooms, sweet roasted garlic and a bed of arugula. My, oh, my! My first bite was a multi-level extravaganza! The crunch of the bread, followed by the aroma of the herbs and arugula, then the saltiness of the cheese, the sweetness of the roasted garlic, the earthiness of the mushrooms - all came together as just a wonderful work of culinary art! This being my first time eating today, my saliva glands just fired off at first bite, causing a bit of intense pain from too much saliva shooting out. But, seriously, this was a very delicious entree, that I enjoyed from start to finish! Bravo for this second joyous experience!
