The folks at Decker's have always been very welcoming, kind, and helpful. We recently stopped in to find a longer lasting chew for our dog. One of the chews we recently tried (from another store) seemed to be too big/tough for him to chew and were recommended a no hide chew. We also purchased some trainer treats and really liked that these were single ingredient. The products at Decker's are high quality and our dog always loves what he gets. The staff is also very knowledgeable of their products and give great recommendations. In addition to treats and food, they also carry toys and some accessories. Walking by, we were concentrating on finding a grassy are for our dog when a lovely lady ran out and handed us a flyer and coupon along with a bandana. She told us about their grand opening next weekend and that we can come in and check it out and shop now. After walking the dog and having lunch down the street, we came in. It was a lovely store with really nice folks who were just as nice to our dog. Got couple of things for our fur baby and will definitely be back soon. My puppy and I have been to many pet stores. This is the first store with a extremely friendly staff and Pleasant personnel. Thank you for all the help. Parking is available on the streets but is limited due to all the businesses in the area. Don't worry keep looking and you're bound to find one in a short amount of time. I usually go to a pet store near my house but since I was in the area I decided to stop by here, and I'm glad I did. This is going to be my new place to shop for my pets. We came here for Frozen raw food and they had a quite a selection. I usually buy bones and co raw dog food, but today the friendly staff member introduce me to bone broth. He described all the different bone broth that was available, he was very thorough and it showed that he was very knowledgeable. Our girl is an in-between sizes as a result it's difficult to find things that fit her properly. This is especially a concern when it comes to harness. A neighbor has a particular one from Italy for her pup. I looked up the brand. As I mentioned she's hard to size. I didn't want to waste time or money taking a chance. While on the site, I noticed Deckers sold them. This meant a good 30 minute drive to go see the items in "paw"son. We load the car with the pup and go. Upon arriving into the store, we are greeted by the owner. He's kind and assists us with finding the exact model I was looking to try. Seems this model has an odd stitching that would consistently rub on the pup's side. They have a wide selection neatly displayed. We keep looking. This allows the friendly gentleman to assist others while we shop. I'm able to overhear his kindness to each person who walks through the door. We weren't there too long to find the perfect harness to purchase and wear out the door. Before leaving, Luna is offered a treat. That's when I noticed they had a "chill" pup who was as quiet as a fixture. Cool dog = cool owner. If you are looking for items for your fur baby, this is the place to go! Luna loves it. Great store for our pups. We have two French Bulldogs and had trouble finding them clothing. I ordered several things from Amazon and a few other stores but the measurements I would take versus what was displayed online never really quite matched up. My wife found this on Yelp so we decided to take a drive up to their store. The owners are very helpful. They helped the pups try on their hoodies to make sure it fit good with a tiny bit of room to grow into it. There is also a variety of food, treats/accessories to choose from. We are definitely going back to shop here for our fur babies. I also want to add their prices are comparable to what I would find online. Finally, a competitive (and local) choice! Decker's is a locally owned and operated by Kensey and Cody Decker. They opened about four months ago and offer pet food, toys, and doggie daycare! When I visited, I expected to be price gouged. Yet their prices were within reason and they price matched the Stella and Chewy's freeze dried dog food that I saw elsewhere for less. I look forward to discussing their doggie daycare and babysitting as their pricing seems reasonable. They even offer it by the hour! I recently looked in to Rover and our La Jolla options either had poor facilities or felt overpriced. I hope that these guys do well. I know that I'll be coming by from now on! Whenever my partner, pup, and I travel, we love stopping in local pet boutiques to support small businesses and see what kind of accessories and treats they have. On our last trip to La Jolla, I stopped by Decker's to grab some chews for our dog to enjoy while we ate at outdoor restaurants and I ended up spending more time there than intended because of the variety of pet supplies and gifts they had. The store owner was super welcoming and you could tell how much they loved their pets. As you walk in, there are large pictures of their dogs hanging above the register and a ton of different treats, food, and fashionable pet accessories. My dog wasn't with me at the time, but I have bookmarked this spot and would love to bring her when we visit again. read more

This place is awesome. I needed to get a special training harness with front attachment for my dog so he'd stop pulling on walks but didn't know where to start. The owner, Cody, was there and helped me pick out the right harness and size and adjusted it to fit my dog. He even showed me (multiple times) an easy way to take it on and off because it had 2 buckles and was a bit confusing. They also have a great selection of healthy treats without weird additives and Cody helped me pick out soft snacks because my old doggie is missing some teeth and picky eater. He said they even allow exchanges if your pet doesn't like the treat! If you ever need help from an actual real person, this store is the place to go! They are so nice. read more

I was in Decker's today with a stressed out woman and her son's dog. The woman thought the dog was scheduled for a bath there. However, her information was incorrect. A young Woman named Katelin was extremely caring and helpful. She called a bunch of other stores in the area to see if the dog had an appointment at any of them. The dog did not. Went to check out the store and we ended up finding really great stuff for our cats other big stores didn't have. The staff was super friendly and of course we engaged in cat talk (we have two cats). They were also very informative on the food and toys we were looking at (which our cats loved). We first came here due to my dog having bowel movement issues. Cody was absolutely super helpful and really cared about helping my dog. He made some suggestions to help change her diet and IT WORKED!!! My dog Anise now is on a regular diet from some raw food we get weekly from Decker's and has not had any stomach issues since! I found this place by chance after my physical therapy session a few doors down. It is a lovely pet boutique with very friendly and sweet owners who love animals! I was happy to learn that they do doggy day care and you can drop your dog off for an hour or 2 or all day, and it is very reasonably priced. They also do overnight boarding.
