Thank you, Vetco Unleashed, for taking out our dog today and giving her lots of love and shots. It's been quite a difficult adventure trying to schedule our dog for shots at B Street, with all the massive apartment complexes going in, and, of course, everyone has to get a dog as soon as they move to South Park, it's hard to set a shot appointment with them. The doctors here at the shot clinic were very, very nice and loved on my little Lulu while giving her the shots she needed for boarding. Unleashed is a beautiful footprint, and I love their appointment setting app; it makes life a LOT easier. No drama, no rude receptionist on the phone scolding me over how busy they are - just set an appointment online and show up. I am planning to bring both my dogs here from now on to get their shots. I love the staff here at Unleashed, and the Vets are top-notch. Sweet customers, too. Lulu has a bunch of new friends now. :D read more

I was seriously impressed with this Unleashed location. Every single employee I ran into was so friendly and actually helpful--it makes such a difference. All staff acknowledged me or said hello in a friendly manner and offered to help me find anything I might need. I brought my dog Bobby in to get microchipped at the Vetco clinic here, and I have to give a huge shoutout to the vet and her crew. They were so amazing with him. He can be a bit hit-or-miss at the vet, but their demeanor was so gentle and friendly that it kept him totally calm while they placed the chip. On top of the great care, it was way lower cost than most other places I looked into. Definitely an all-around positive experience, and I'm glad I found this team! read more

Every time I go to this location it is unfortunately unpleasant. I go out of my way to go to another location or another store in general - which is sad because this is right next to my complex and I have four fur babies, which I adore. There is a specific employee that is always rude, she's heavier set, a bit older with curly brown hair. My sheer luck she's always working when I need something new to purchase for my pets. She always gets annoyed with me when asking questions about their thoughts on a product. You would think, you work in customer service that you could provide it. I have started going to Howlistic which is much more expensive but the staff there is super kind. Anyways, hope someone in corporate sees this, I'll also be shooting corporate a phone call and or email. She was completely rude today and I'll make sure to voice my concerns. read more

There's a lot of places I want to visit and do and spending too much time in a petco is the last thing on that list. But this location ain't actually too bad. If I gotta visit a petco for a quick pet supply run, this is the spot. I'd give it four stars for a variety of different reasons. It's a convenient location. I'm in and out of this place in no more than 10 minutes. They got a small little lot that they share with UPS which is next door. So you're looking at 10ish spots. Getting in and out is alright. The main road is only a turn right out of the parking lot. Theres a hospital right behind it I think. Full disclosure, I only go to this store during my weekday lunch breaks and I'm usually the only one in there besides the employees who always looks a little bored. The store is always clean and labeled super easy to navigate. Unleashed is a smaller affiliate of Petco I believe and so between that and the location expect a smaller storefront but they carry most of the things you might need (toys, treats, filters, etc). I'm giving it 4 stars not because they have everything you need like specialty items but because it's straightforward, clean, and easy to access. Perfect for the everyday needs. read more

I made an appointment at this Hillcrest location for my dogs flea preventative treatment. I was running late for my appointment so I called and spoke to an employee who assured me I would still be able to be seen. I told him I was pretty much right there I was just looking for parking. When I arrived I made eye contact with at least 4 different employees whom all had Petco t shirts on, every employee in the building completely ignored my countless attempts at being helped. I stood with my dog at the front desk for a half an hour. I was not even greeted with a hello just given dirty looks and ignored. I will never come back to this location these people are terrible & need a lesson in customer service read more

On multiple times over the last six months I have come in and seen the Cat grass that is completely yellow. I have asked multiple times if they could get new cat grass you are selling a product that probably cost a penny for $10. It is inconceivable that the grass is rotting and that people who don't know are going to buy that it is toxic to your cat at this point it needs to be thrown out. There is at least 25 cat grass packages in the store right now that are bad. I have asked on multiple times coming in to buy cat food. I am in the store at least once a week and I have asked several times and been told the same thing oh yeah, we'll take care of that and we'll get rid of it. I'll let the manager know and guess what nothing happens. The grass is literally curling. It's dead. And as someone who uses cat grass on a regular basis for my senior cat this is so disappointing not only is it too expensive it is disappointing. You can get the same cat grass at PetSmart for $6.99 I will be taking all my business there from now on I have had so many pets and always use this pet store. It is ridiculous that the management is letting that sit there. I have worked at a pet store. You don't do that. You want quality control for your customers and that is not happening at this store. My other complaint is that there is not enough variety of actual healthy treats for cats, senior cats need a good treat that they can eat without vomiting. You guys are so limited at this store. Unleashed/Petco is "pawsitivly" great for our new pup. Each time we go there ("Kelo" is also a welcomed visitor) he finds a new bone or toy to play with that is just right for his size and weight. We always get help from one of the employees, who are the most professional and also patient folks around (which includes Kristian, Timothy, Alexander, Robert, etc.) I've also had quick resolution in returning merchandize that isn't a fit for our dog(s) and would recommend this location to other pet owners. read more

Everyone that worked and visited here was extremely nice! The staff answered all questions that we had and didn't try to sell us items that we didn't need just to get commission. I paid for Puppy 1 and 2 training classes. The trainer moved away after Puppy 1 and Unleashed has promised me on three separate occasions that they would contact the sports arena location so that I could finish my puppy training over there. I went in to unleashed two Saturdays ago and received the same promise once again from the store manager. Nothing has happened and no one has contacted me. I called a fourth time yesterday and left my name and number for the store manager and received no call back. I called this morning and the employees haven't turned the phone system on for the day-- still says closed despite the store being open. Petco training is a scam and this store's employees are extremely unprofessional. read more

In person service was good and I got flea prescription from the vet. However, the prescription was not in their system at all and they have other alternatives. When I called back about the situation they are horrible about it and lady I talked to on the phone told me I have to rebook an appointment to get the alternative medicine. But funny is they wont come back to the same store for nearly a week. It is absurd that I have flea situation and I have to wait and pay again just to get the medicine they gave me not in their system. This is the worst Petco Unleashed ever. In 4 years they have NEVER, not once, had the two things I require most often. They are ALWAYS out of pads for my litter box and filters for her fountain. I have to admit when I walked in here I was a little disappointed not to find a wild and crazy animal party with unleashed pets actin' a fool swinging from the eaves, dancing, singing and running amuck. I have to admit though, I came in here solely because of their name. I read the sign and just had to see for myself. I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover. This place was pretty cool though. There was a nice little sitting area with leather furniture. I assume it's for the animals. Possibly a waiting room to get into the back where the crazy parties go on? I guess I'll never know. I assume this place is the equivalent of the new Starbucks that are more "neighborhood" oriented...Basically, same ish different name. I like that this store is gay pet friendly. There was a lovely jacket/shirt for a dog that said 100% tree hugger. I'm happy to know that gay pets are able to accessorize and look just as cute as straight pets while showing their pride. Close, close, close to me. The best thing about Unleashed is its close proximity to my home. The local pet store which I prefer to visit for Apricot's treats (closer and cheaper) is still my number one store to visit but they don't carry the food I normally buy for Apricot so I go to Petco or Unleashed by Petco (their smaller and more intimate store). Besides the good price on the Apricot nourishment, I would commend this place as a very neat and orderly store with friendly staff and very approachable when you have questions. I have not tried their selection of treats but lately, I have been very thrifty and both Apricot and the family only buy necessities (treats and food). I recommend it as a place to go for something you might not find in your friendly local pet store. After all, I love Trader Joe's but they don't carry my partner's diet soda preference so I still have to shop at Ralphs to get the rest of my groceries. I am not afraid to shop for a good price and good proximity from home. read more

I wasn't looking forward to checking this place out, and loved it from the second that I walked in. It doesn't have all the crap that PetCo has as it is just catering to the essential accessories for pets (leashes, collars, basic toys) but what it does offer is the largest selection of organic and high quality food for pets. I had always used IAMS with previous cats and had been happy, but now that I have a Bengal Kitten they require a more specialized diet that concerned me until discovering "Unleashed." Bengal cats/kittens are not supposed to consume grains, wheat, or rice.They offer a huge selection of organic food for cats/kittens as well as staff who are incredibly knowledgable, and helpful. 5 stars for they are the only pet store that I have found that carries the Raw Diet which has been suggested by every Bengal breeder that I have met. read more

My fury children are on a raw food diet and once and awhile there is a bad bag in a batch. I can count on one hand how many times that has happened in 3 years but when I needed to exchange a bag the manager was completely understanding and helpful. She made the whole process very easy. I had previously given this location a 4 star review but in the last several years it has become run down. It is bad enough you have to dodge aggressive transients in the parking lot just to get into the store which is a huge safety concern especially at night. The shelves are seldom stocked with basics they are constantly out of pet supplies, and food brands. Today I went and purchased a bag of dog food and several cans at $3.50 a can and after I paid, the cashier Laura just looked at me and said Oh I am sorry we don't have bags. It would have helped to mention that before check out, or maybe offer to let me use a basket or maybe offer to have someone help take the cans? Essentially the run down state of this store is managers fault for not keeping their busy urban store in order and stocked with essentials. If you expect your customers to buy premium products maybe have bags so they can transport items from your register to their cars. Additionally maybe train your staff to offer solutions instead of blank stares as they chit chat. I will be ordering from Amazon moving forward. read more

When we are looking to spoil our demon child Uleashed is our spot. Yeah, it's corporate and big but they always have everything that we need, and everything we don't need. It's safe to say that we have a pampered pup. Sure there is a lot to choose from but our most commonly purchased items are canned dog food and chew toys. The canned dog food selection is awesome and last us a very long time since we use it to stuff the Kong brand dog toys and freeze them until we're ready to hook the little guy up. One of those frozen Kongs keeps him occupied for a while and allows us to sneak out of the house for a nice date night and a bottle of wine - we all win. To top it all off the staff is always incredibly friendly and I can't blame them. Getting hang out with cute animals all day seems like a great way to pass the time while working away. I go here atleast one or twice a month. Only complaint I have so far is they are limited on stuff since they are a smaller store and I cant buy my pups food there. Thats not their fault tho. Every time I go in my dogs have auch an awesome time. They love all the attention they get. Cassie my pitt loves to just sit around and get love from all of the workers. Not to mention hella treats. The two main things I love from there are their earth rated poop bags. I recommend the scented ones. If you are willing to pay $12 for 120 bags. It is very much worth it. I never smell poop and I pick up after 3 dogs every day. Chuck it rubber fetch ball. Best $10 I ever spent. My dogs use the medium sized ones. Its two for 10 Its the most common ones but man do they work. My dogs can tear up a tennis ball in 30 seconds flat. The chuck its get lost before they ever even get a scratch. Not to mention it is alot better on their teeth. Sometimes you may not find exactly what you are looking for here. But if you live near by there is no better place than here. The people look happy tp work here and usually you will get to see some adorable puppies. read more

Unleashed is a bit pricier than other pet stores, this location is quite hard to get to (Unless you know exactly where you're going). Parking can be horrendous, since other people park there to go to other businesses nearby. It's really difficult to get out of the parking lot, since it is on a really busy street (and a majority of people won't let you into a lane!) The staff was friendly, and were there to help qith any questions... but it was more expensive than other places. Go there, if you have to go there. read more

This location is very convenient for the our Hillcrest neighborhood and those of us who can walk to the location are extra fortunate. The parking lot is tight but the few times I have stopped on the way home, I was able to find a space or a short wait for someone to exit. Besides that, it's a good idea to call 1st if you are needing something last minute or cannot order on the app. I am grateful with the convenience of the location and the helpful staff. This review is for their adult dog training program. We took both the Adult 1 and Adult 2 classes and the instructors way exceeded our expectations. Our dog Captain was a year and a half when we took him in for training and he only knew "sit". Now, he can follow all kinds of commands and is so obedient! Came here on a whim looking for a pad for the bottom of my dog's crate... Staff was all super friendly, the pad was easy to find and they had a decent selection. As well there was a puppy class going on and three tiny guys all playing in the pen. Who doesn't love that! Worth the extra 5-minute drive time. Crate pad was decently priced. read more
