Stopped in for lunch on our way to Jackson Hole. There were seven of us and everyone agreed their lunch was excellent. Great flavor, great service from some sweet waitresses, and fair prices. In the top two of orange chicken dishes we have ever had, the drunken noodles were so good, and Tom Kha soup was extra delicious. You can customize the spicyness of those dishes on a scale of 1-5 and it seemed to be accurate. My oldest son had 13 (mini) cups of the hot jasmine tea, he loved it. My other son has already announced that we need to plan a stop here on our way home next week. We will definitely be back sometime. read more

What this restaurant does well includes: quality food, authenticity of Asian cuisine, quick and prompt orders/service, very nice environment, clean and friendly staff. The food was okay. The food portion was a big disappointment. For $10 a bowl of pho, I felt that it wasn't enough. Other restaurant that I go to, one bowl of pho for $8-9 for a large already feed all my three kids. The pho taste better if you order it spicy. I have ordered their pad Thai with a level 1 spice and chicken or vegetables many times and I have loved it every time. Last time I ordered their fried spring rolls and fried wontons and they were subpar but I ordered them for carryout so they probably got a little soggy in the box. Only once I couldn't understand the lady on the phone and had to hang up but other times I can understand the lady and she's very easy to talk to. I wouldn't say that this place is better than the other two Thai places here in Idaho falls but it falls right in line as far as the pad thai goes. Tonight I ordered some sticky rice, house Curry, and fried rice with peanut sauce so we will see how it goes! read more

This place is our go-to for amazing and consistently fantastic Asian fare. Very gluten free-friendly, as my wife has celiac disease and is extremely sensitive to gluten...she has never been sick from their food. We love the pad see ew with a side of peanut sauce and the house curry with pineapple fried rice. Love these guys, they work very hard to make a delicious meal for each customer. I had the pho and loved it. Fresh broth, firm noodles, tender meat and plenty of goodies (basil, sprouts, jalapeno). It was a huge bowl of food, but I couldn't stop eating it. The vermicelli was literally mush. Everything fried was very extra greasy. They had good service but food needs help.

We recently moved to Idaho Falls and have made it our goal to try a new restaurant every week. Today's choice was Dee Kitchen. My husband was excited to check out Thai food this week. We got to the restaurant a little before 5:00 and it was already filling up. Lots of customers chatting happily was a good sign. Our server promptly seated us, offered us drinks and then took our order. We started with Cream Cheese Wontons that came out quickly. They were a little on the greasy side, but tasted good. For our entrees, I chose the Pork Pad See Ew and my husband selected the Beef House Special Curry. My noodle dish was exactly as I expected...the slightly sweet sauce complimented the pork, noodles and vegetables. My husband loved his curry! He often feels that there isn't enough sauce in curry's and this one was perfect! We can definitely recommend Dee Kitchen if you want delicious, fresh Thai! read more

This restaurant recently changed hands. Unfortunately, changes have evidently also been made to the recipes. I recently went in to try the pho, which I had always ordered under the previous owners. The broth now tastes like it came from a can. Definitely pre-fab. In addition, the food was so terribly salty. My husband and I both requested that our dished be returned and replaced with a lower sodium version. The staff were super friendly and apologized profusely for the trouble. They quickly brought out our new dishes. To our disappointment these were also too salty. I like the new decor and table arrangements; however, the food on this occasion was absolutely horrible. This place was awesome. My wife and I split the chicken pad Thai which is always our go-to for a new Thai restaurant. It was fantastic. Fresh green onions and the perfect blend of chicken and sauce. We got a 3 on the heat level which was a but mild for us, but there was a slight hint of heat in the background. We also got an order of fried wontons. I thought they were fantastic and the sweet and sour dipping sauce was a perfect balance. The service was good and friendly. Can't wait to come back and try something else. read more

Not impressed at all on the first visit but will give them another chance. This is a new 'vietnamese' and 'thai' food restaurant in the old Cyclo space (Cyclo was really good!!). We ordered five options from the menu for takeout on 3/25/18 including: 1) Chicken Satay 2) Crispy Pork Egg Rolls 3) Spicy Pork Fried Rice 4) Beef/Egg Roll Noodle Salad 5) Green Curry with Chicken 1)Chicken Satay came with a peanut dipping sauce and quick pickled cucumbers. It just tasted weird and we did not like it or finish more than one skewer because of the flavor. I won't speculate to why the flavor was off, but I will never order their satay again. 2) Crispy Pork Egg Rolls were just terrible. They looked beautiful, were crispy brown on the outside, but they had almost no taste and the inside texture was kind of slimy. Not a good mouth feel. Maybe they didn't cook long enough, or the oil was bad. Not the 'cha gio' we were hoping for. We threw these out too and will be hard-pressed to order them again. 3) Spicy Pork Fried Rice was not even reminiscent of an Asian dish. Despite being somewhat spicy, the entire rice dish was still very, very, very bland. The spicy fried rice dish included pork, which did not taste like a very good quality meat, and green bell peppers and onions. That's it--rice, pork, bell pepper, onion. There was no lime or citrus, no egg, and none of the other ingredients you may associate with fried rice. I don't even think they added soy sauce to the dish and I know there was no fish sauce added. It felt like we were eating rice flavored with fajita and pork leftovers. It was utterly terrible and a full portion was thrown out. 4) Beef/Egg Roll Noodle Salad. This was maybe the biggest disappointment of our entire order. Most of the components were there, with fresh lettuce, noodles, grilled beef, egg roll (see above #2), cilantro and a sauce but the taste and texture were absent. If you love a mouthful of gristle with severely overcooked, and purely mushy noodles, then this dish is what you've been waiting for! I thought it was awful. The meat flavor was okay, but every other bite was so gristly that it ended up in a napkin. Nothing turns me away faster than a mouthful of gristle and almost every bite was gristly. After about three bites, we both eagerly threw out this dish. It looked good but the ingredients and execution were so disappointing. Again, threw out almost the entire dish. 5) Green Curry with Chicken. I really liked their green curry dish. It was at the spice level we asked for (4/5) and was very tasty. There was an odd ingredient in the dish that I didn't mind but I still don't know what it was. I think it was a re-hydrated dried mushroom (but it was cut into relatively large pieces so the original mushroom must have been huge) but I'm not sure. I would order the green curry again but i'd like to know a list of the ingredients. So we really disliked 4 of 5 dishes and threw out the four dishes, at a cost of about $40. It won't cause me to go broke but something to consider. It's difficult to start and operate a restaurant anywhere so kudos to the owners of this place for giving it a try. I understand that the kitchen staff can have an "off night" at any time so I will promise to try them again in a few months, maybe after they get their feet under them. But my first impression of this place was pretty bad. They just opened, and you may have a better experience, so it's probably still worthwhile to give them a try. read more

Simply the best Thai restaurant in the Idaho Falls area. Four of us who all love Thai food went to dinner this evening at Dee Kitchen on Hitt Rd. (So. 25th East). This restaurant has recently switched over from a Vietnamese restaurant to one specializing in Thai food and Pho Noodles. We each ordered our favorite Thai dish, the one each of us judges Thai restaurants by. Hands down every one of us was thoroughly impressed with the food. Very fresh, very authentically prepared, excellent quality and far beyond expectations. The most delicious Thai food we've experienced in the region, and we've tried them all. My Pad Thai was the best I have had in six years, since my last meal at my prior favorite Thai restaurant (in California). All of our portions were very adequate (3 of us took some home), and the service was excellent. We all plan to send our friends and neighbors, and to visit Dee Kitchen as often as possible. read more
