Went there recently with my sisters for a sister's dinner and it was amazing! Well worth the visit - food was delicious and very well presented. Staff was very friendly and always smiling. Traditional Persian tea was perfect finale to the meal. Decor was comfortable and lots of banquettes for groups. Best to reserve ahead as gets very busy.

The restaurant's bold sign lights up their name in a plaza I sometimes pass by, and it always catches my attention. I was running some errands at Staples in the same plaza and decided to pick up takeout here. We ordered online through their site in advance, and it came to $75 (including tax) for takeout for two (Platter two), which is kinda steep. However, we were surprised at the amount of food, two huge trays! One tray was filled with meat, the other with rice, and there were some sort of pickled elements on the side. It easily could have fed four people, even though it was labeled for two! They included some butter and small pouches, though we weren't sure what the butter was for since they didn't give us any bread, so we mixed it into the rice. I'm not sure if the staff knew I was picking it up for myself or thought I was a delivery driver but I think it would've been nice if she added a personal touch, ask whether it's our first time (it is) and tells us how to best enjoy the condiments and also warn us about the spicy peppers. At first, we didn't use the pouches because we thought they were tea bags, but it turned out, after finishing our first meal (we ate this over a few days), that it was sumac spice. We definitely should have used it earlier to add more depth and flavour. The reason for the three-star review is that the roasted pepper was so spicy. We thought it was a sweet pepper at first, but it's NOT! It turned out to be incredibly hot. They gave us so much of it, almost like it was a vegetable side, but it was pure heat with little flavour, which really caught us off guard. The website's ordering system didn't have much description of the dish beyond a picture, so the spicy peppers really threw off our palate. We ended up breaking out some yogurt from the fridge to cool down. So definitely order yogurt to enjoy with your dish! If you're not too familiar with their food, it's probably best to try it for the first time by dining in. The restaurant interior emits a purple glow with wine bottles lining the walls. Not quite my taste but certainly a unique vibe.

A wonderful and most exquisite experience! Based on a (local) friend's recommendation, my wife and I came to Deedar for dinner on Monday night. We were warmly greeted by a staff lady named Molouk, who attentively looked after us throughout our stay at the restaurant. The ambiance was very pleasant, modern decoration tastefully pulled together. The food was delicious! The portions were generous. The quality of ingredients was first class! And the presentation outstanding! By the way, did I tell you the food was delicious...? We had appetizers (Kashk-e Bademjan and Zeytoon-Parvardeh), house salad, Chelo Kabob Koobideh and Chelo Kabob Shahani. We will certainly come back with more friends. Again a big "Thank You" to Molouk and the rest of the staff for their warm hospitality on a very cold Toronto winter night.

Came here due to high review. Close proximity (10min drive) is an added bonus. Place was nice. Suitable to book a party with dance floor. It also has nice 'darkish' ambience (just like a party room). Food was GREAT! 3 of us share platter#3 (meant for 4-5ppl). Barg, torsh, chicken breast, koobidah along with basmati rice. The top of the rice is crusted with saffron seasoning? It give nice crispy texture overall. Big portion! (I think it can serve 6ppl instead). Meat is Flavorful. Nothing dry or tough/hard. Cooked perfect. Only torsh is not matching our pallate (3 of us agree). It has pomegranate sauce which is quite sour. Overall it was flavorful food and we'll be back to try other menu (already have a plan on what to order). Check it out!

So tasty and delicious big plate so reasonable price good service by guy Name Hamid I am first time really satisfied

Absolutely delicious with perfect service for our family's wedding take over. Our server was very charming and the restaurant accommodated us with excellent service. The tea the sweets and the appetizers especially the olives were incredible recipes. So much more true to traditional Persian cuisine from the Northern Province in Iran. I would fly out for this food. Incredible.

I love the food at this place! Pretty clean restaurant and nice decor. One of the few Persian restaurants that actually serves Persian food the way it should be and tastes just like the authentic Persian food as in Iran and sometimes even better! I personally love their Kabab Torsh (pomegranate sauce on filet mignon kebab that's so tasty) with their crispy basmati saffron rice! Compliments to the chef! Their salads, yogurts, house made bread and appetizers like Kashke Bademjoon (grilled eggplant in yogurt sauce) is fantastic as well! Would always recommend this place to friends and colleagues! 5 stars *****

Excellent foods and fun ambiance! The servers are very kind and attentive here. The food is hands down some of the best Persian dishes we have ever had. I read a few people didn't love the pomegranate sauce but I absolutely loved the tangy and sweet flavour. Everything was so delightful and you can see all these wonderful families hosting parties and dinners here. Felt amazing, food was delicious and definitely generous in portion sizes.

The prices listed below reflect the regular menu, though portions at the event were likely smaller than standard service. The evening began with a beef skewer ($31), featuring cubes of barbecued beef glazed in teriyaki and topped with plenty of chives. Unfortunately, consistency was an issue. Other guests raved about how tender theirs were, while mine arrived overcooked. It wasn't inedible, but it certainly wasn't tender. One of the restaurant's newer additions is its aged fish program, so I was eager to try the dry-aged salmon ($33). Listed as a "crudo," I expected delicate slices in a citrusy sauce, but it arrived as another skewer. The texture was undeniably smooth, with the dry aging removing any chewiness, but the salmon also developed a gaminess that lingered unpleasantly. A marinade or thinner slicing might help balance things out. I'm glad their signature Caesar salad ($24) remains excellent. It's beautifully balanced with acidity, savouriness, and thoughtful touches like buttery breadcrumbs and bacon bits that aren't rock hard. It's still one of the better Caesars in the city, though tableside preparation now costs an additional $10. Fans of tartare will likely appreciate the beef tartare ($41), which is prepared traditionally with minimally dressed hand-cut beef. Personally, I wanted more contrast in texture or flavour, though tartare has never been my go-to dish. I did appreciate the accompaniments of buttery crostini and gem lettuce leaves, which offered a lighter way to enjoy it. And for fans like me, don't worry their cheese bread puffs still make an appearance (along with their take home chocolate muffins). What continues to shine at Jacobs is the steak itself. The 40-day dry aged striploin was cooked beautifully, developing a crust that locked in the juices while maintaining tenderness despite being a leaner cut. The seasoning is more restrained, which allowed the volcanic sea salt and chimichurri on the side to actually enhance the beef rather than overwhelm it. The pecorino broccolini ($22) had me almost finishing off the plate and is such a nice accompaniment with the rich beef. The only disappointment was the duck fat fries ($21), which arrived lukewarm and slightly stale, likely a casualty of serving a packed dining room. Dessert ended the evening on a high note. The crème brulee ($21) was fantastic with visible vanilla bean specks throughout the silky custard. The sugar topping was thin and delicate, avoiding that overly sweet crunch some versions suffer from. Served alongside a sizeable chocolate biscotti and a fragrant orange shortbread cookie, it's easily large enough to share. With the expanded dining room, the front-of-house team has clearly grown as well. The staff is younger and fresher-faced, so any old-school steakhouse stuffiness has largely disappeared. More importantly, the service remains polished and attentive, and we were well taken care of throughout the evening.

So, when my family was looking for somewhere to gather for an early Father's Day connect. I quickly suggested Copa. So, disappointed in the entire experience and very embarrassed after how great I told my family it would be and everyone was extremely unhappy with the experience. You would think a group that large with the cost of this place would get some reasonable service, the entire staff literally overlooked our group. They would tell the kids they are coming back with things like pineapple that they were excited about and never came back. The management and servers should get a better flow and order to how the meats come out. The servers seem like they all forget where they stopped last and then they just never get around to some tables. There should be some kind of memory to what tables you went to before you ran out, and where to pick back up once you get back on the floor. $1400 for a dinner where all our men left hungry. We kept reminding the server that we had not seen any meat for over 30 minutes, and she said she would address it then the manager said the same, and still we were charged full price with 25% of the experience. Will never say positive words about Copa again. Complete waste of our time and money. No consideration from the staff. And after the hour were we had only 4 meats come to the table and the servers saying they can only give guests 2 small pieces of meat at a time, they started to again not appear then stop coming completely. I would dispute this charge that's how bad it is, as a person who happily spend over $300 on a meal for my self if the food and service is great. This was one of the most disappointing culinary experiences service and order wise I have ever encountered. Please do better

They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

It's a traditional form of Argentinian barbecue on the open fire. I've tried Brazilian rodizio and Venezuelan arepas but that was near the extent of my Latin American foray so it was exciting to taste the cuisine at this hidden gem. The must-get menu item is their charcoal grilled chicken. It's sort of akin to Portuguese chicken but in comparison the meat here is more juicy and better seasoned. The half chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender with slightly smoky flavours, then even tossed in chimichurri sauce. Perhaps greasy yet each meaty bite is satisfying! Honourable mention also goes to their empanadas. A pretty sight: golden baked crust folds over the fresh beef filling, that might be even better by the dozen. And at their price point, I can see why guests generally agree La Parrilla is a 5-star visit. I ordered ahead and the food was ready for pickup upon arrival to avoid any wait. Owner Serge was friendly about offering an extra sauce on the side along with chimichurri tossed on the chicken. Definitely get that sauce, as it adds dimensions to the asado / grilled meat.
