Funny story: I had just dropped off some Christmas gifts for a family in need, when a coolant line broke, immediately draining my car of all of its coolant. Wow, what great luck. The upside was that it happened right near Deegan's and I was able to limp the car over. They were so kind to squeeze me in during a very busy time--seriously, there wasn't a spot open in their lot, the garage was full, and the mechanics were still working well after closing time. The cost of the repair was so reasonable, I couldn't believe it. That was two months ago, and the repair has completely held up. I even drove across country moving to Los Angeles just last week, which makes me a little sad that I won't be able to use their services again, but you definitely should! read more

This place is excellent. We have gone through two or three mechanics trying to find someone with varying success. I tend to work on my own and it can be hard to let someone else, however Jason and John are great to work with. They explain things in detail and are fair with their prices. They can take a while and sometimes communications could be a little better, but these things pale next to the work. Would highly recommend. read more

I came from Chicago to buy a car near this garage. I called several garages in the area to have someone check out the car for me and everyone was really busy. Deegans (wish i remembered the guys name) was the only place that said theyd try to fit me in. I was outa town and only had that 1 day to inspect the car. I waited a short time and they pulled the car in and inspected it thoroughly for less than 50$. Peace of mind worth every penny. I was scared to get screwed over and it was too far to have a friend come check out the car for me. Deegans saved me and they were really cool! I commute from Chicago to Sycamore monthly to look after my 90-year-old mother. Jason services her old Dodge Caravan - does just enough to keep it roadworthy for her local driving per my instructions (the van is not worth large expenditures). Mom and I both trust him implicitly. He is knowledgeable, honest and competent. He also looks after my Honda Accord and Toyota Matrix. I no longer bother with mechanics in Chicago. He has bailed me out of situations where I needed quick repairs while in Sycamore 3 times in the past 7 years.
