*Brunch review only* Came here with a friend, a Sunday ago, to try out their brunch. We arrived around 1045AM but was told they didn't open until 11AM (flyer said 10AM). The waitress still sat us and provided menus for us to look over (which was nice). I ordered the catfish and grits with a side of bacon and my friend ordered the salmon croquettes and grits. We decided to get a strawberry mimosa pitcher to split. We both decided that we loved the mimosa and it was a fairly decent amount to split between two people. I didn't enjoy my meal as it reminded me of a cafeteria. The taste and presentation just wasn't there. My friend thought her food (salmon croquettes) were good but the presentation wasn't there. Visited on a weekday w/ 2 adults Hubby doesn't eat seafood so when I got a chance my friend and I came here to try it out. At first we were worried that there was no cars in the parking lot but while there most ppl ordered to go so that was a good sign. LOL Service was great and food was better!!!! I am very disappointed in my experience. Went to the counter and was undecided. The young lady behind the counter wasn't very helpful. But ok, we finally figured out what we wanted and placed our order. I also ordered 2 waters. That turned out to be bottled water as they don't offer water in a cup. Ok, fine but you really should tell customers that when they order. We sat down and after 25 minutes, I went to the counter to find out why it was taking so long. The lady went into the kitchen and came out immediately with our food (a sure sign that the food was just sitting back there). When she opened the door to the kitchen I could see a worker SITTING IN THE KITCHEN EATING! So there are 7-8 people in line and people sitting in the dining room waiting on food and you are in the kitchen eating? Plus isn't that a health code violation? Ok food comes out and it is lukewarm. Fries are soggy. My food was literally drenched in 2-3 inches of grease and butter. I had to wipe each piece of food with a napkin before I could eat it. I'm very serious. My salmon was over cooked. It was just a complete mess. Way too much sauce, food took too long, and no one seemed to care. To top it off, the food was very much overpriced. I've been here 2 times and both were bad. The first time, I sat at the bar and no one came and checked on me for 20 minutes. So I left. The second time was for their brunch. I had the most watery shrimp and grits I've ever had in my life. They had the shrimp swim in it before they cooked it. Also, the security dude brought my food out. I know we have a lot of people quitting the restaurant industry but a security dude bringing out my food and I didn't know if he even washed his hands. Bad look. DeeO's Seafood recently opened in Cordova, TN. So I drove by on a Saturday afternoon to check it out. The parking lot was FULL! Went inside and the place was PACKED! The dine-in customers looked HAPPY and there was a bunch of folks waiting for To-Go Orders. At 3:00 PM on a Saturday, the line was ten deep and I overheard a couple of people sharing their previous experience and how GOOD the food was!!! Studied the menu and watched plates coming from the kitchen. WOW... as a native of New Orleans, I have to say the food: LOOKED GOOD, SMELLED GOOD, and based on customer reactions it must have TASTED GOOD!!! Unfortunately, I could not place an order because "THE" Girlfriend (my lovely wife) is allergic to shellfish. The only thing on the menu she could eat would have been the Catfish, buy we don't eat farm-raised catfish. So I passed this time. However, based on what I saw today and the reviews I have read... EDIT..I MUST ADD THE NEW LOCATION IS ON GTWN PKY TOWARD ROCKCREEK PKWY I visited on a saturday morning about 11:30am( yep as soon as the doors opened). The place was clean, they had mopped prior to opening, some areas had a wet floor sign. It didn't smell like a seafood restaurant or like any food was cooking actually, but I figure they have a very good exhaust system or whatever. I ordered the shrimp and crab meal. It comes with 1 crab cluster, shrimp( you can get fried shrimp for an additional cost), egg, potatoes m, Turkey sausage and 1 side. You can choose your seasoning and how much seasoning to add. The menu consisted of shrimp, lobster, fish, some veggie side options,etc. I saw slices of cake on display, but didn't partake in those. Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant to others, I like the dine in option, the lemon pepper seasoning I chose was just right and enough to satisfy my taste. I only wish I had more crab legs! If price is an issue you may want to stay away from the meals with crab and lobsters, but if you can eat at chain seafood places that are in this area, you can try this place. My next visit will be dine in and something else from the menu...maybe even try dessert. read more

I'm so thankful to have a place like this in the heart of Cordova! I visited DeeO's for the first time and was greeted by very friendly staff. The young lady at the counter took the time to explain some of their specials along with recommendations. I tried the shrimp deluxe which included shrimp, potatoes, turkey sausage, corn and a boiled eggs. The side that I chose was asparagus and they were huge and cooked to perfection. I selected the garlic Parmesan sauce which I'm sure isn't the most healthiest option, but oh my goodness..that sauce took things up a notch! So my sister friend tells me, there is a new seafood place in Cordova let's have lunch. I pull up and it's a small end of the building establishment, go in the inside and it's pretty spacious. A long family styled farmhouse table in the center n booths surrounding. A cute bar area , a couple of flat flatscreens n music is playing.. very laid back environment. It didn't smell fishy, which is a plus, in my book. We ordered the 3way, wit salmon, shrimp, crab legs, boiled eggs, corn on the cob n potatoes. You also get 1 side item, so we got asparagus. Added garlic dipping sauce and butter. My friend added another piece of salmon so she could have her own piece. The service was prompt n friendly. This place is phenomenal. I never do yelp reviews but this place and the service deserve 5 stars. They aren't too expensive especially since you are eating seafood. The seasoning was so awesome I didn't even use my butter much at all. The staff was sure to check on us on a consistent basis and were very friendly from the moment we walked in. We got the pick 4 and had two orders of crab (queen crab), a lobster tail and 10 jumbo shrimp (the shrimp is deveined and cleaned very well). Not to mention it comes with a side (we got asparagus) corn, sausage, boiled eggs and potatoes. All of this food we got for 50$ so I only spent 25$. So worth every dime. There was a bit of an wait to place an order but i wasn't in any rush. The ladies working the front were very polite. During the pandemic, they were allowing call in orders but you could still come in and place and order. They would then ask for you car make and model and would bring the food out to you so that too many people weren't waiting in the inside! I saw that they were also offering Togo Daiquiris!!! I got all 3 flavors mixed in the $12 bottles! Honestly, i wish they sold something bigger because those Daiquiris were the bomb. There was almost a sour taste to it. The staff were really kind at least which was pleasant. The meal comes with a side which they shouuld really advertise as an "add on" because the mushrooms I selected was merely thrown into the box as if it were a part of the boil. Visited on a Thursday early evening around 5pm. Restaurant is clean and well lit but upon entering you cant tell if you have a seat or wait. Found out you have to walk across the dining room and order/pay. You then have a seat which is fine but there is nothing stating to do so and the young lady taking orders was not the most inviting once we entered to let us know. Food: Took about 25 minutes I ordered the catfish and fries. Both were fresh and seasoned well. My wife had crag legs platter. The crab legs were ok but the sausage lacked color and taste as if the had been over boiled and had some age on it. We were disappointed that you dont get a server(?) nor a crab cracker for the claws. You do get a crab knife. So I never realized how packed this was but there was a really good crowd. The menu was very appealing and wasnt the stock menu that floating around all of these restaurants. You order at the counter and they give you a order number. My wife had the shrimp bowl, son had some wings and I had the fried fish and shrimp platter. My wife was very complimentary of the shrimp and my son likes his wings. My platter was good although the fish had a swai consistency (clearer than the white flaky flesh) vs catfish but had a good coating and tasted good. The was Memphis set up that was a big NO for me so I was like I'll pay cash at the counter and her exact words were "you can't!!" I was like that would have been very appreciated to have known before placing the order I literally live down the street I could of just came up there, and she goes well I have your name you can just pay when you get here.. huh?? Just got my plate to see what the hype was all about. I've been thinking about seafood for awhile now, and I finally gave into my cravings. The food was really good and I ate every thing on my plate. I wasn't expecting all the shrimp but I'm not complaining! I got a side of asparagus and I felt like a spoiled brat. It comes with one side, I'm not sure why the asparagus was.50 cent extra.. Omgggg DeeO's was great!!! We have the 4 way seafood and it came with 2 clusters of crab legs, a lobster tail, big steamed shrimps, potatoes, corn, turkey sausage, and mushrooms! What a great variety of everything! The Cajun seasoning was very tasty and seafood was very fresh. We called to check if they were closing soon and they were but they told us they'll wait and come on in. They were super nice and friendly. Our food came out quick and hot. The wait was pretty lengthy (about 25-30 minutes) as we came around the lunch rush. However, the food was really tasty and good quality. I do hope they will have traditional plates and forks, as this would be a nice place to have a more "sit-down" feel. All of it was tender, juicy and flavorful. I have been looking for a really good seafood place and so far this has been it. The only criticism I have is who they place at the cash register. Today I tried this place cause my wife and I are pescatarian and wanted to support a new business. I will take a little blame for not checking my order. First the order took forever! Second when it came the guy made it appear that he had everything by repeating my order as he handed me our bag. Upon making it home all we had was disappointment!!! We ordered the shrimp deluxe and shrimp bowl. The menu clearly states 11-13 jumbo shrimp. I had 5 darn shrimp. I asked for waffle fries. The incompetence of the lady putting in my order put down season fries. My wife asked for a shrimp bowl with squash. She got shrimp with potatoes and a pound of sausage. We don't eat red meat and asked it not be put in our food. The attention to detail in this establishment is horrible to say the least. I started to drive back and raise holy hell, I will do one better. I will never spend another dime there and encourage you to do the same until they choose to pay more attention to their customers and not just they bottom line cutting corners. Today I ordered through GrubHub, and arrived after my order was stated to have already been ready( about 45 minutes after order time.) The girl at the counter told me my wings would done momentarily (?) and I proceeded to have to wait another 20 minutes to get my order.
