It is a very small winery in a middle of mountain. We are glad to stop by this place. The owner is super friendly and explained the wine. We really enjoyed Chardonnay which is not buttery a lot. It is so fruity and refreshing. We also like Ursa Major which is very smooth. Also we love their dessert wine. We got blueberry smell and flavor. I highly recommend this place. read more

While visiting DCL, we decide to check out a local winery. Quick and very pretty drive to the winery. The owners were the sweetest people. With COVID, you cannot due indoor tastings but they offer tastings in your car with beautiful views. We did a wine tasting and most of the wines are dry which is what we like. Our favorites were the Artisan Nouveau, Watershed Reserve and Blue Dolce. The Blue Dolce is one of the best dessert wines we have ever tried. We also purchased a jar of Pear Butter which is made from pears grown on the hillside....cannot wait to try it. Suggest checking this place when in the DCL area as it is just a short drive and so worth it! read more

Can I just say I was super excited about the idea of a "Drive Through Wine Tasting". For some not the most ideal. (COVID)But for me it worked out great! We called and reserved our slot. We arrived early. We were still accomodated.We were given a wine list and small cups for each tasting. In between tastings we chatted . We really enjoyed the oppurtunity to meet the owners on a more up close level. (We were the only car in that time slot.) I enjoyed the privacy of my own vehicle. And greatful I was able to experience the winery. Working on my second year of being extremely crafty during covid on birthday's. In the end purchased two bottles. My faith in humanity has been restored. The super friendly and welcoming owners of Deep Creek Cellars made our visit to the winery well worth the drive. It is a small establishment so if you're going in the hopes of having a plethora from which to choose, don't bother going. If you want a relaxed experience tasting locally made wines with friendly people, go visit them! Due to covid-19, they have you taste the wine in your vehicle, but in no way did that take away from the experience. Deep Creek Cellars is a charming winery and it's hosts are kind and welcoming. My husband and I had such a good experience at Deep Creek Cellars. The wine-maker and owner was in the tasting room and gave us our tasting. We walked away feeling like good friends with Paul -- and indeed, he called my husband (who is very interested in the wine industry) a few weeks later when he was in our neck of Maryland to see if he wanted to join him on a trip to pick up some grapes. What a kind man! Paul is doing some really cool stuff -- his wines are all organic, and he grows what works best with the soil and the climate. His focus is on excellent wine to pair with excellent food; there are no gimmicks or extras to draw customers in. My only regret is that we only got one bottle to take home -- should have bought a few more! read more

Tiny family owned winery with delicious wine and friendly owners. It was a quiet day so we were able to spend time, learn the process and the history of the their unique wines while we tasted. We then were able to purchase a glass and take a seat at their picnic table and enjoy the lovely day. read more

Absolutely loved my visit to Deep Creek Cellars. My friend and I planned our friend's bachelor party and as a wine lover, we knew he would love this spot. We had a group of 11 and were able to go on a tour of the facility where they produce and bottle the wine and got to go through a tasting. The staff were fantastic and willing to answer any questions we had. I HIGHLY recommend this for a way to spend an hour or 2 over a weekend. Please note, this is not a huge commercial winery, but a small, independent winery. It may look shabby and odd, but great things hide inside, delicious wine and warm & hospitable hosts. read more

The drive from dcl was scenic and quick 20 minutes. It is a small cellar so called ahead if you have a large group. The owners are super nice and friendly. We enjoyed our tasting and loved both their reds and whites. Their blueberry wine was a cool sweet wine to try. We enjoyed hanging out and sitting outside. The view was beautiful. Very unwelcoming. Our group of 6 stopped in, we were the recipients of the great Inquisition of Do We Have Reservations? And they kept saying that they have another group... over and over, and that our presence was not welcome. Very unwelcoming. The wines were meh, at best. They did not share any information about their grapes or processes. The wall hangings were falsified information. Don't bother making the trip... unwelcoming . meh wine . expensive. read more

We wanted to experience a wine tasting, as many people in our group really enjoy wine. I contacted them 10 days before our trip, only to hear back 2 days before from the winemaker. He did not even answer my question in my initial email asking for more information and pricing. We got to Deep Creek, and had to drive 25 minutes on a windy road to get there, and we were not impressed. The winemaker is very curt and stingy with pours. He was "friendly" until we bought wine, and then he was kind of rude. The entire "sampling" time was less than 10 minutes. It is not worth the drive to go all the way there, only to turn right back around and drive all the way back to Deep Creek. We have definitely been to waaay better wine cellars before that were way more professional. On a side note, the wife seemed much nicer, but we did not get her for our group. read more

So we wanted to go wine tasting while in Deep Creek so we drove about 25min to deep creek cellars. Pulled up to what looks like someones home with a driveway with 3 other cars in it so there was nowhere else to park. Luckily someone started leaving so we were able to get that spot. It looked like we came to someones house...small inside only had about 5 wines to try which I wasn't a fan of but my boyfriend thought they were decent. I just wasn't impressed the guy who helped us was nice enough but to me it was a waste because we drove 25min there and back to only be there for 10min. read more
