We got a late reservation on the day of Valentines Day. We thought it would be long wait. It was our first time there andcwe didn'tknow what expect. We waited around 10 minutes and we're seated in a beautiful sea themed restaurant. The service from our waiter, Keto, was exceptional. Not overbearing, but perfect for a very full restaurant. The best meal I've had in a really long time. My husband had the shrimp basket and I had their special for the day which was a grouper in butter sauce with capers--it was very delicious! I was really nervous because I've never had grouper before, but our server recommended the dish, and I was not disappointed. My husband was happy with his meal. I was here for lunch. The restaurant was not crowded which was nice. The service was excellent. We started with a delicious appetizer of crab rangoon. Then I had a great Caesar salad served nice and cold. My entree was the Chill marinated Triple Tail which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was prepared to perfection. Haven't been here for awhile, usually packed during season With Covid today in mid afternoon on a Saturday it was certainly not busy Workers wear masks, hand sanitizers are available and they built plastic clear shields in between the booths. Sat at a booth in bar area but did not know the server was doubling as bartender with a couple of talkative bar customers So you guessed it, service was not as it should have been. Waited very long for the food and it arrived room temperature except the fish was fairly warm. The entire 2 orders with sides had to have been sitting around for awhile in the kitchen Server never returned to check on us, no surprise. Also, if a restaurant's wine list is usually a good indication of its character (an x-ray, if you will) Deep Lagoon's is unadulterated b.s. Largely mediocre, uninteresting choices dictated by wholesaler deals to the establishment (apparently), inexplicably limited reds (I realize it's a seafood restaurant, but still, not an excuse), and preposterous - I'd say disrespectful to the customer - prices, especially by the glass (of course). The wait staff was mildly disdainful, acted as if we should have been more grateful to give them our business - but hey, it's not easy to deal with the public ;) Still, four stars rather than three for the quality of the food, which is after all, why one goes. read more

Tried the fried hogfish dinner plate. It was really delicious, similar to a "whitefish" up North, this is the common white flake fish in South Florida. I will definitely eat it again. After getting seated we all ordered appetizers...I had the fried conch fritters which was pretty good. The entree I ordered was mahi thermidor which was tasty but everything was squeezed into a bowl which was too small...I felt it was the wrong plate to use and I had to hunt for the rice cause I couldn't see everything on my plate. My sister and I visited Deep Lagoon on June 19th for Lunch. We each had the lunch shrimp tacos. The tacos were so fresh and delicious. The salsa and coleslaw topping were full of flavor. Our server Danielle P. recommended the tacos and they didn't disappoint. The service was excellent. This will be my go to restaurant for lunch. This was very good (I like it creamer but still excellent). Then we tried the crab Rangoon, also pretty good. However, the coconut shrimp salad only had three pieces of shrimp, otherwise it was fine. I ordered the lunch grouper sandwich blackened. The fish just tasted off. It wasn't hot and was a bit over cooked. I think it sat for a while before we received it. Deep lagoon has always been a place I've wanted to try out. Many people have told me about it and it seemed nice. So last night my fiancé and I went for our anniversary and to say the least it was phenomenal!! We were greeted by the hostess and manager, both very nice and sat us immediately. We found this place from a friendly recommendation and were pleasantly surprised by our experience. With speedy and personalized service, this place was perfect for a quick lunch with SO many lunch specials (a favorite thing of mine) to pass around the table. We loved the actual appetizers especially the shrimp and really enjoyed our meals as well. I eat gumbo at its most traditional and while this doesn't match with my Louisiana flavors, it offers a different kind that blends more like a soup and tastes great. Deep Lagoon is a nice seafood restaurant and market. As you first walk in you feel you are in a vacation. Very warm lighting and lots of pictures from beaches and sandy trails, etc. All done very classy and very inviting atmosphere. We were seated immediately by the staff which was very attentive and friendly. We came with friends and families so we were a large group. Staff was helpful in making separate bills for every family and taking orders was a breeze. Food itself was very good overall. Prices vary according to what you order as usual... but most meals range from 20 to 30 for main courses. We had delicious oysters from the east coast and from the Gulf. The ahi tuna was cooked perfectly just needed a little more seasoning. Aside from that everyone loved the food and service. I will try coming back here again when in the area. read more

We had dinner tonight at the new location, Deep Lagoon in Naples tonight. Our waitress Jackie was great - she offered several suggestions and informed us of the most popular dishes on the menu. I started with the seafood gumbo - a hearty, flavorful bowl of gumbo worthy of New Orleans. For dinner I had the blackened mahi and my wife had the swordfish Neapolitan. Both meals were outstanding. For a starter I had the mini crabcakes the coleslaw was fresh. The sauce was great and then balanced out with the crabcake, which is perfectly seared. whomever put the new wine menu together has a refined taste and excellent pallet. I asked the staff if they could please pair my wine with my food and the choice was excellent. Oh my man, my main was a Cedar plank, salmon mashed potatoes with a vegetable melody and a seared lemon. I have been a regular customer for the last 4 years at the Deep Lagoon in Naples, mainly love going for their stone crabs when in season. Tonight I received my order that was not cracked properly and one was just dried out and should have never been served. I asked the waitress to please have them fixed so that I could get to the meat of the crab. Lexi, not sure of her position, came over to our table and spoke to us worse than you would speak to a dog. She accused us of coming weekly and always sending back our dinners which is far from the truth as I don't go there weekly. This season, this is my 3rd time there and it is near the end of February. I approached her after I came out of the ladies room and she again was just plain rude. I will not be coming back there and hope that Lexi is replaced as her behavior was totally uncalled for.
