This restaurant came recommended to us by our friends and it didn't disappoint. A very welcoming decor in the main dining area with nice views of the marina/inlet. The creative menu offers many seafood and meat lovers options to choose from. My wife and I try to get as much grouper as we can when in Florida and there are two unique dishes we ordered that were just delicious: Stuffed Grouper and their "Cafe De Paris" prepared Grouper. The AuGratin potato side dish went well with our entrees and house vegetable. As much as I like key lime pie, their sorbet version was nice but I wouldn't write home about it. It was okay. the shrimp bisque was warm not hot. the escargot was delivered after the entrees. The veal was good not great. Food quality was disappointing. BBQ shrimp app was only 4 shrimp presented on too large a plate. They were heavily sauced with a very generic bbq sauce. Not impressed. Grouper was meh. We had a chance to venture out to Captiva and remembered this spot from a visit some 15+ years ago. We dined at an odd hour late afternoon and they offer a very limited menu, a subset of their lunch and dinner. That was fine. We were promptly seated on their nice outdoor patio. Some diners arrive by boat. As others have mentioned service was a little slow, but adequate. Our waitress suggested the fried grouper sandwich, which was tasty, but our fries were cold and soggy. I did mention to our waitress who apologized and brought out a fresh batch. I also tried the bisque which was tasty enough, nothing exceptional. The Painkiller cocktail on the other hand was outstanding! The view here is more impressive than the food, but there are not many choices on Captiva. read more

Four of us went for late brunch and sat by a window looking out over the water on a warm day away from the freezing cold of home in Providence. Our server, Milita, was enthusiastic and efficient. Our group stopped in for lunch on a Saturday while boating around Captiva Island. We arrived around noon and there were still a few spots to tie up your boat. We navigated in and made our way up the dock. The restaurant is very pretty from the outside. It overlooks the water with lots of windows bringing in natural light and one of a kind views. We were seated right away for our party of 4. Not long after we arrived a Bachelorette party arrived on a tiki boat which I thought was so cool. By the looks of the restaurant, this is a go to spot for many. Our server mentioned some different cocktails and special menu options and I took her lead. I can't remember the name exactly, but I ordered almost like a pint colado but on the rocks with more of a pineapple taste. The drink was so good. It was tropical and refreshing. Just what I wanted on the warm day. My brother and I ordered the teriyaki chicken sandwich with pineapple. The chicken was delicious and cooked perfect while saying juicy. The sauce and sweetness of the pineapple made for a great combination of flavors. It was also topped with tomato, onion, and lettuce. We visited the green flash after a day at Bowman's Beach for an early dinner. Always great scenery limited seating though so we couldn't sit outside but great view from the inside. The staff was super friendly. Everyone greeted us. The food was pretty phenomenal as well. I got the grouper sandwich which is their signature sandwich and it didn't disappoint. Very flavorful for the fish. The kids food got eaten up. They loved it and the drinks were yummy as well. The shrimp quesadilla was phenomenal too. Still one of my go to places on the island for some food & cocktails, even if it has become a lot more "touristy" over the years. We went around lunchtime after the beach and were able to grab a spot at the bar despite a long wait for tables. The sunny view is nice and their key lime dessert is still great :) read more

We dined here for the first time last night. We were asking ourselves why we haven't tried this place before. We made reservations on the "Open Table" app and arrived early. We had a table for 2 next to a beautiful window view of the marina. We ordered drinks and dinner. The fresh sourdough bread was hot and yummy. I had the halibut special which was pure heaven. Good service interesting menu. We just had appetizers. They all look so good. We had artichoke hearts, conch soup Manhattan style a dozen of oysters, which were nice and plump. My wife had escargot. She had an exotic drink with rum. The restaurant is up off the ground about 12 feet but they had an elevator in the back which my wife needed since she is in a wheelchair. Gave our drink and meal orders, got the food in a reasonable amount of time but never saw the waitress again until we were done. First, the food was quite good. This review is about wheelchair access. There is an elevator but it was turned off because of an issue. The manager was able to turn it back on again for our visit. The bathroom had a very narrow entrance hall with a sharp turn. In that turn was a full sized male manikin that I was not able get past without shifting it and having a friend hold it away. Leaving the restroom, the manikin fell into me and I had to call my husband into the ladies room to rescue me. When I informed the manager of this, she shrugged and told me that I was the only one who ever had an issue. WtF? I was literally attacked by the stupid thing and had to be helped. Oh well? I didn't make a big issue of this while there because I didn't want to embarrass my friends but if you are in a wheelchair, you might want to pee before you go here. read more

The view was great. Waiter nice. But food was terrible! I got the fish tacos but were really just slaw tacos with a hint of fish. Barely a bite of fish on it and the flavor of that fish was terrible. My son got the $29 catch of the day and it had a terrible flavor also. DIL got 5 shrimp on her plate for over 20$. We were disappointed. We had received a recommendation to go there so we drove quite a distance from where we were staying to dine there but was definitely not worth the drive. We went back there on Saturday morning and had omelettes As well as one of my all-time favorites, a Monte Cristo! My company left but the next day since it was my last time to go to green flash, I went back for breakfast and got my own omelette and it was really excellent.
