They have a small parking lot entrance to the left of the signs and the entrance to their office is toward the end. The waiting area is decent enough and works well for a local independent mechanic, definitely not here to expect dealer service center amenities. It was a quiet morning and they got to work on my car pretty straight away. I got my car back in less than an hour with the oil change and tire rotation. The mechanic and owner was quite friendly and very courteous definitely seem like a great local business. Location wise there's not much around as its mostly an industrial area so if you need major works done definitely plan on transportation. Overall very happy with the service and definitely would be back for my future auto needs.

Especially when you are a female (I have heard many times AND experienced personally). Because most assume that you won't ever know you were being ripped off in the first place. So we seem like easy pickings for scam artists. The elderly also get targeted often. These creeps think their chances of being found out, and exposed for what they are, are slim to none. Unfortunately, they DO get away with an unfathomable amount of lying. Mike was originally recommended to me by Andy, over at Caliber Collision. It's the body shop my family and I use. And they're right down the road from each other. So the 2 reciprocate lots of jobs back and forth. Because, it's a fact that many cars that are in accidents, also have mechanical issues as a result. The two go hand and hand. Anyway, I'm SO grateful for the recommendation..!! I've been coming here for 4 years now. I even moved to Queens in the interim, and still make the drive. I won't go to anyone else. I've been taken advantage of too many times, since I first started driving. I'm kind of traumatized by it, to be honest. Which is why Mike's felt heaven-sent. I know I'm always getting the best possible deal.. and I know I'm never being lied to, or cheated. That sense of security is PRICELESS..!! My family ALL bring their cars there too now. Everyone has only great things to say. Fast, cheap, and always gets the job done right the first time. Boom.. perfect Trifecta. Friendliest staff too..!! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. It is the nightmare of mechanics. They are not honest. I was a long time customer at this shop with two different cars and it did not occur to me that they were damaging my car and not changing my oil (when I went in for a routine oil change). It took a string of events that caused me realize what was going on. First my car had been having a problem with it's headlights where the right low beam would turn off with a brand new bulb. I took the car into be fixed and was given a temp fix several times, but not explanation and never a permanent fix. I was having trouble starting my car. I took the car to the shop with a friend following me. They checked my car and told me my starter was going and to bring it back the following day. I specifically asked the owner if I could leave it that night since I had a ride home. He told me the car would be fine for another few days and to bring it back. It died that night in a parking lot. A different friend came out to try to help me get it started so that I could drop it off at the shop instead of having it towed. He was unable to get the car started but informed me that my oil (which had just been changed) was very dirty and had either not been done or done poorly. I wound up having to have the car towed costing me more money when I could have just left it there. While having the starter replaced they once again temp fixed my low beam. This time when I picked the car up I was informed that it was the last time they would be able to temp fix my low beam because my fuse box had melted. Suddenly, I was given an explanation. They appeared to not know why my fuse box would have melted. I purchased a new fuse box which was pretty expensive. I asked the shop if they could install it and bill me since I was a consistent customer and the fuse box had been expensive. It's also good to mention that whenever they needed a part for my car they had me pick it up from the dealership (even the dealership was bothered by that). Brakes Inc told me specifically that they just decided to no longer bill because of too many outstanding bills from other customers (convenient). This forced me to seek out another shop and a friends husband installed it for me since it was a plug in. He informed me that the reason my fuse box melted was because a second master power line had been installed. Why didn't Brakes Inc tell me this? Why didn't they fix this before it melted my fuse box? Bad service. My headlight problems continued and I had to seek a car electrician before finally bringing my car to the dealership. Turns out the second master power line was frying all of the wires in my harness. Fortunately for me it had only been affecting the headlights, but I did have to have all of the wiring replaced. Since changing mechanics, I have had no more major problems with my car. None. These guys either take advantage or they truly know nothing about auto repair. I leave this review where I can because they are so few reviews out there and if this happened to me, I am sure it's happening to other people. I wouldn't trust this company. I went there for years and I felt very betrayed by them.

A certified mechanic? NO I purchased a 2021 Maserati a month back and the vehicle had a huge bubble in the front right tire. They promised to reimburse me the cost to replace the tire and forwarded the receipts but they say weekly that it takes time....... They also charged an additional $500 to license the vehicle and promised to refund the overage, this has not been done. It only cost $28.00 for the license. They also charged me an additional $500 for a second key fob. What luxury vehicle only comes with a single key fob? These folks are as slimy as they come! They are the lowest of low. They have zero morals, ethics and lie, lie, lie. The fat finance guy promised to buy dinner when I was there only to come up with a cold cheese pizza and bottle of water, this idiot didn't even spring for a topping on the pizza. What a joke. Lastly, when I take the vehicle in for an emissions test the plug does not work. I have to take it to the Maserati dealership and they charge me for 2 hours of labor to find out that the wantagh dealership put a tracker on the vehicle. They were paid in full for the vehicle so they should have removed such a device but it simply shows what type of dealership they are. You know, buy here, pay here so that I can overcharge for a vehicle and then track it if you miss a payment. They take advantage of people. Please do not patronize this establishment. They are the lowest of the low and should be shut down

Had my 05 Subaru in for horrible noises from the front end. Ended up needing new struts and mounts…read morealong with some bushings. After the work was done the car didn't feel right at all. I'm not sure if they test drove it when the work was done or not but anyone could clearly tell it was not right because the whole car was not shaking violently at just 20mph. I took it back and after further inspection we also needed a new front axle but he gave it to us for free and made the car right before we got it back. Other mechanics would have charged me for the additional parts and labor. I'll probably return for more work that needs to be done because its so local to me (literally around the corner)
