Interesting lake as much of the north side road is actually on the water. The park has play ground equipment which is great for kids under 10 or so. Jamie and Dave are gracious hosts, help you park rig, run store with great ice cream and always ready to help out with any needs. Virtually no road noise and zero highway as it's miles away made for nice quiet outdoor activities. I spent many days mountain biking on logging roads and quad paths. Not much single track but tremendous views from north and south mountains. We spent 35 days and plan on the same next summer. Many of the spots are seasonal folks with families. Sometimes pressed quiet hours to 11pm but quiet music, talking and laughter is kinda the thing on weekends. Silent weekdays. ​One of our favorites for down to earth folks and activities.

Overwhelming dog urine smell and no help from staff We…read morestayed in one of the "condos" (bottom floor rose bud)and the experience was disappointing from the start. The place reeked of dog urine the entire time. There was no air conditioning and no screen door, so we couldn't even open the door to get some fresh air without letting bugs in. A week before our arrival I specifically called to confirm this was not a dog-friendly property and was told there were absolutely no dogs allowed in the condos. That clearly wasn't the case. We reported the smell to staff. They admitted they already knew about it and said they would call us with a solution. No one ever called. We ended up going to the store ourselves for carpet freshener and a kids-and-pets odor eliminator, then had to ask for a vacuum (which they did provide). None of it made a meaningful difference. The second bed was in the living room right in the middle of the urine smell, so the other couple we were sharing the condo with slept in their car both nights. Would not recommend. The property needs to address the odor issues properly and communicate honestly about the condition of the unit.

I made a reservation online using our AAA card for a discount. We booked a king bed room with balcony for $98. There's plenty of parking available. They have way more amenities than we need, but the price was so reasonable we booked it. They have a restaurant on site and offer room service! Such a convenience with a wide variety of food, including pizzas. The restaurant offers a breakfast buffet, which is not included with your room stay. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot with coffee and condiments, dining table with four chairs, desk with rolling chair, robes, safe, toiletries, hair dryer, luggage rack, iron & ironing board, and I'm sure a few other things I'm forgetting. It was well stocked! The rooms are nice and fairly updated. I liked how the bathroom had two sinks, one in the toilet shower room, and another by the coffee pot, making it super convenient to add water and clean out the carafe. The TV in the room was nice and big. They had MANY channels available. The remote worked properly and was easy to use. The balcony was a nice feature. We walked into the room and it had a faint smell of smoke. We opened the balcony slider to air it out a bit. The smell wasn't bad enough to make a fuss, so we just stayed put. There were two chairs on the balcony as well. Our room was 4326, top floor corner room. It was a nice, quiet location. Far enough away from the traffic noise so it didn't bother us. We had a nice, quiet sleep. Our king bed was very comfortable with the right amount of linens available to keep warm. Overall, we were impressed with this hotel. If you are a cold sleeper, you may want to avoid. We had air turned to be as cold as possible and it was a sweat box. We explained to her that my grandson had a cat that was going to a new owner that day and would not be in the room. She gave us the key and we looked at the room. Decently clean but everything was so old including the bedding. It smelled like it had smokers in there in the past, even though signs say NO Smoking. It felt creepy at best. In any case, She came out and snooped in my grandson's car and saw the cat we told her about, she took our key back and said when we get rid of the cat she will give the key back. ok, that was fine. So we were ready to drive off and she came running out and said "No we decided we won't rent to you" "You come back in and take your money back." My grandson lost his Mother about 3 months before and he has had NO place to live. So I have been renting rooms for him because he has had to live in his car and he has been freezing at night in Spokane. He needed to brush his teeth and clean up and rest so he can be ready to get his teeth pulled in a couple weeks. (I had already told that to this lady) He is the sweetest young man who has not had anyone to care for him. I do all I can but I have 8 people already living at my house. He cried so hard after we left there because she was so judgemental and so rude to us. We are good people, we don't hurt anyone. My grandson is sweet and gentle. He does not do drugs, He does not party. He has never been in any trouble. He is quiet and respectful. She discriminated against him! I am sad and hurt for him. I will never darken her door again. She charges $85.00 + per night which is highway robbery for the nasty rooms. I should have looked on the mattress for bed bugs. ugh.

This is where the Greyhounds stop which is why I come here. The Spokane bus station has gorgeous rounded walls and silver trim just like a lot of other stations in Washington state do. It looks like it's from the 1950s and it's absolutely adorable. I don't like that the Border Patrol steaks (I mean stakes, but they probably do that too) this place out and scares people. They should be ashamed of themselves. It looks old and a little dimly-lit on the inside but there's plenty of waiting area which is good. It's lovely for Spokane and works perfectly.
