Dee's Restaurant has THEE BEST French toast I have ever had in my life. Their breakfast is the best in Tusc County. Great food, amazing service, the waitresses are so nice and friendly every time I go here. This is also my parent's favorite breakfast place in Phila. Had a taco salad with crisp taco shell , very good! Waitress was very pleasant. My Dad, RIP, loved Dee's. We'd take the back roads for a scenic trip from Coshocton, he loved the road trip and loved Dee's food even better. Never had a disappointing meal. read more

I don't know why it was such a long wait to get in. Maybe simply lack of choices?There was NOTHING special about the food and when we got our food this morning, (an hour after ordering it) everything except the pancakes was cold. A great diner for breakfast! Dee's has hot coffee which is refilled often and dippy eggs with knepples. Which is scrapple for the non T Countyians. Friendly and clean its a good stop off the Wabash. The knock from 5 stars is the lack of real butter, they use that chemical stuff and I can believe it's not butter. read more

We arrived to the restaurant knowing we would need to wait a little. When we opened the door a very rude woman said the restaurant was full and these people are already waiting. We will not be back and I hope that this is corrected to an appropriate way to greet people. read more

After 4 plus years of having Sunday morning breakfast here, we sadly will never return after today. The hostess took it upon herself to let everyone in the restaurant (including the off-duty policeman) know that somebody left a dog in the car in the parking lot. Her concern was well intentioned, however it was 60 degrees at the time. In addition, our dog has come with us every Sunday morning rain or shine, winter, summer, spring and fall we have no choice he knows when it is Sunday because he always gets breakfast and he insists on coming along. Sadly, this is all over now because the well meaning VERY MISGUIDED hostess had no idea what she was talking about!! Perhaps in the future before you start accusing people of something you have no idea about, maybe you should just simply ask why? I am sure you will get a satisfactory answer. Our recommendation for you is to worry about you and being the best hostess you can be for Dee's Restaurant. If you can't do that, then maybe you should consider retiring. It saddens me to say that my work will no longer let me travel to New Philadelphia. Since this is the case, I will not be able to experience the magic that is Dee's Restaurant! Dee's has the perfect home cooking for such an affordable price. Even though they are known for the breakfast food and the pies, they have plenty of other lunch/dinner options too. I was in a hurry and did not have a chance to take a picture of my last meal, the eggs Benedict, but I am regretful that I didn't. They were absolutely delicious on many levels. Been going here for over a decade. Now based on default since I work close! Food is normal greasy spoon type and isn't good or bad. For some reason toast is great here! I have noticed though many pick ups that the lady and counter has an attitude everyday! Not just a one time thing! We fully expected there to be a wait- it was Sunday morning after all. No problem. We arrived at 0950 am and we were seated by 1010 ordered 2 Stan's hash by 1020. At 1100, our food arrived. It smelled like a bag of potatoes from the grocery store. We both looked at it & then at one another. It looked dry- just plain dry. This meal was to have eggs, hash browns, cheese, green pepper, onion, mushrooms, and bacon. I tried several bites of mine mixed it around and was done. Worst, easiest breakfast to make, I have had in forever. The waitress, never came back to check on us. At the end, she said need boxes? Sure. Dropped them and left. No check ever came to our table. Had we not been sitting at the booth directly beside the cashier, we would never had received the check. The lady at the checkout even tried to get the waitresses attention to obtain our check to no avail. Luckily, the checkout host was able to pull our check from their new computer system. We reluctantly paid for our bill without a word because, after all, if you cannot speak to your waitress why hold the checkout up as others want to get in and get out. Sorry to say- second and last attempt at eating here. The reviews of others that led us here to begin with- they must have had better luck at this restaurant then we have had. This is a very sweet home town restaurant. Coffee is so/so. It is a great escape from hotel breakfast. But not up in two categories, cheese and spice. I had the Stan's hash, GREAT ingredients, but no flavor. Not herbs or spices to give it flavor. Just kind of blah. I had to coat it with salt and pepper. I asked for hot sauce to give it some jump, but all they had was Tabasco. Restaurant people Tabasco is spicy vinegar not hot sauce. Chulula and Valentina are hot sauce. They needed to put more cheese on it, i could see it but not taste it. I need to feel the cheese when I eat, that would also help with flavor. I loved the atmosphere of the place. The service was good, some time between the first cup to fill up, but they were busy. I had a great waitress, Dawn. Ask for her! I loved the rye bread toast. If you are not a flavor and cheese zealot like me please give them a try. I will be back to try the hot cakes and cinnamon rolls. read more

I have heard a lot about this place and my wife and I decided to give it a try. It was a very busy late morning but a typical local diner. We both ordered off the breakfast menu and the waitress was very attentive and did a great job taking care of us. We were presented with nice, large portions of food and overall the food was good. I had the eggs, hashvbrowns, etc and although good, it just lacked any salt, pepper, or spices of any kind. Everything was just kinda bland.
