I joined 6 months ago after having 2+ years of my life put on hold due to a serious issue involving my spinal cord. To say I was scared and very timid is an understatement. I explained in detail my concerns and relayed what my neurosurgeon said was acceptable as to what I could do. Rita (the owner) made me feel comfortable and assured me that modifications to the workouts can be made. I did my first class (which was free) and it was the best decision ever. In these 6 months, I have lost over 20 lbs and I'm stronger than I thought possible. They have a variety of classes (Functional Fitness, Lite Fitness Deka, Hyrox, CrossFit, and others). All the coaches are knowledgeable, personable, and their instruction as to proper form and technique is paramount (they keep a close eye on you). This is a great gym. No egos or attitudes. Great gym / crossfit box. This place deserves over 5 stars. Its a small niche Crossfit Box. Once you join you will feel like it's your second family. I was originally a bit hesitant on crossfit as there were some rumors of high injury rates. Well this place this isnt the case as they heavily focus on form and making sure you can handle the exercise before doing it. What you get is a daily WOD (workout of the day) and if you cant do the exercise they will find a modified version that you can do until you build up the strength and flexibility to do the full version. A big benefit is that when I work out on my own, once I'm a bit winded, or tired.. my mind goes ok..good job and I'm done. The thing is that's your comfort zone.. and for the majority of people that comfort zone bar is set really low. You have a lot more..you.can usually do. Well when you are in a group class.. with.an instructor. There is this competitive nature that comes out, and the instructor will gently nudge you.... as well as your teammates so you go past your comfort zones... and will see big improvements in yourself. The gym has a focus on getting you to improve. The coaches will motivate you, but so will the other crossfit attendees. Another benefit is the social aspect here. They will have excursions outside their local box. A hiking/camping day, a pool day, and many others. 5 stars read more
