We had a great experience at Defined coffee. We decided to stop in to kill some time and get some work done while trying out the coffee we had heard so much about. We had two different variations of their new fall flavored lattes. The folks working the counter were great and answered all of our questions enthusiastically, explaining their ingredients of each drink including specialty small batch syrups, unique spices, and raw ingredients. We shared the reccomenddd cinnamon roll from The Bakery Shoppe which also didn't disappoint. They have a ton of space and a great atmosphere. We'll be back for sure. read more

Not only does Defined have incredible coffee, there is so much space to work, hang out with friends, or just enjoy your coffee! The seats/tables are spread out so it's not super noisy. The employees are super friendly. They have always gone out of their way to ask how my day is. Best of all - the coffee is phenomenal. It has quickly become a favorite coffee shop. Excellent and unique lattes -I have had lavendar and honey both were good. Odd location. Very friendly barista. Nice space but strange that its connected to church. We need more local coffee shops in LKN but this was in a odd location, will go back but not my favorite because I wasnt sure if i was turning in the church lot or what the deal was...now i know. What a lovely atmosphere! The loose leaf tea was great, and the gal behind the counter was super kind. I'll drive out of my way to come here in the future. The pricing is on point. There is a small area for kids to play while parents visit, two outdoor spots one with shade and one in the sunshine! Counter seating and comfortable chairs and couches throughout. Plenty of outlets which was helpful since I forgot to charge my laptop. This new find is a top favorite!! read more

Delightful little coffee shop inside Lake Forest church. I never would have found it without yelp. I am in love with the open space and modern appeal, high ceilings, and mixture of wood and stone coffee bar. The drinks are a little pricey but delicious and worth it for the space. There's a mixture of sofas, chairs, and tables for working and socializing. Free wireless also. They are known for The Mountaineer which uses a Mexican sweetener and molasses,m. I think the lavender vanilla latte is the best out there, with creamy oat milk. This may become my new spot! read more

Easily some of the best coffee I've ever had - and I've been around the caffeinated block. The Maple Sunrise, for example, is an elegant blend of orange citrus flavor with a light touch of maple which does more to bring out the nutty flavors of the coffee used in the espresso than it does to hide it. I've never been disappointed by the quality or professionalism of the staff. I found out about this place a couple months ago near the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, and even despite those circumstances the place is amazing. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Great place to get work done. It's hard to get a mobile signal in their meeting area though (at least for T-Mobile and AT&T) They have comfortable seats and I never have a problem finding an outlet. Defined Coffee is a great place given its large size and unique layout. However, as I write this Saturday afternoon one dad decided that it was ok for him to let his 3 kids run around the place constantly playing very loudly. It was obvious to everyone except him that it was bothering folks, went on for too long. They were playing like it was outside! One kid had a make shift sword lol. I noticed dad at one point asked the sweet barista were the kids bothering them. She being nice reluctantly (you could tell) said no. I think he asked someone else as well. No one wants to sound like the mean adult so what did he think they were going to say? Also, if you feel the need to ask strangers this, then yes, you know they are being annoying to others. I did hear a barista tell the kids not to touch something they were fooling with. I get that this isn't a 5 star restaurants but please reign in your kids, this isn't the beach. read more

Not too sweet, with a subtle but satisfying bite of saltiness. There are plenty of options for seating to fit whatever brings you in.
