This one's kind of tough to write because I usually only drink coffee black--strong, nitro cold brew or a double shot of espresso, no cream, no sugar. But the longer I've lived in the South, the more I've found myself craving these obnoxiously sweet cold drinks... and Clutch delivers. The Cheerwine Iced Mocha is one of my favorites. I honestly get a little mad at myself anytime I order anything smaller than a large--it's just that good. The service is always awesome. Anytime I go they never get my order correct or I have to repeat myself 4 times. I went once before closing and there was a car in front of me getting their order and when I pulled up they slammed the window in my face and wouldn't take my order cause they were closed even tho I came before closing really rude. Great service but super sweet coffee. I usually like a semi sweet latte but the one I received here was more like a milkshake in a cup. When ordering I asked for it to be less sweet with half the amount of syrup and sauce. However, my drink was extremely sweet and I could barely taste any coffee. read more

Pretty awesome little drink stand. Kinda reminds me of Dutch Bros on the west coast. You can find lattes, juices, smoothies, and more! There are also drinks with added boost of caffeine to get you through the day or protein to recover from a workout. We tried the frozen aloha latte and it was dangerously sweet but hit the spot in the summer heat. And the harvest greens provided a healthy balance. The service was friendly and FAST! This review is for both Mooresville locations... It's a shame to write this, as we liked Clutch so much, 2019'ish. It seems like after that initial staff departed it has been in a steep decline. In 2019 they knew how to make a Cappuccino. It's a coffee place, why wouldn't they? At some point they started asking if I wanted it "wet or dry". A cappuccino is neither wet nor dry, it simply is what it is. I decided to try in response, "somewhere in between". Most times that just resulted in getting a cup full of warm milk with a couple shots of espresso. The last two times we've been there we've received drinks that were un-drinkable. It wasn't that they made a drink too wet or too dry. It was just nowhere near what it was supposed to be. Unfortunately, you often don't learn of your misfortune until you drive away. We won't be returning to Clutch. read more

Huge fan of their coffee unfortunately staff is TERRIBLE and needs to be RETRAINED at this location. Current staff has no sense of urgency whatsoever nor any manners. I asked for a simple black coffee with half and half and Splenda and they couldn't get it right TWICE. Didn't apologize or anything along those lines. My husband and I had just had an amazing dinner at Joel's Grill and decided to find a nearby coffee shop. Saw that Clutch had great reviews and only realized it was a drive through when we got there! Was pleasantly surprised, as I know drive through coffee shops are becoming more popular around here and I love the concept. The barista was extremely friendly and highly energetic - she let us know that as guest l first time visitors, our drinks were free! I ordered the frozen caramel macchiato (half the syrup and with coconut milk) - delicious! My husband got the frozen Irish cream and thought it was pretty good. With the perk of the first free coffee, the great customer service and the fact that the coffee itself (at least, mine) was great, I would most definitely come back when I'm in the Lake Norman area (or try their other location in Mooresville). read more

Finally made a point to stop at this drive thru coffee joint last weekend when we were strolling through Moorseville. All I have to say is ... when are y'all opening a spot down in Charlotte? They not only have a great variety of coffees, they also have smoothies, pastries & snacks. I decided to go for the large triple chocolate mocha, and my wife went with the iced caramel macchiato. You know when get a large iced coffee at McDonald's or Dunkin? Yeah, this place has those ridiculous larges also and I LOVE it. I was so surprised ... their medium here is the size of a large at most other coffee joints. So the bang for your buck here is unreal. Both of our drinks were phenomenal. And the best part, the barista at the window asked if our dog would like a pup-a-cino (she was sticking her head out the back window). She came back with a little cup of doggo friendly whipped cream complete with milk bones on top. read more

The caramel macchiato was soooo good and my only regret is that I didn't get a large! Amazingly, all Clutch locations find the most polite, outgoing, hard working, charismatic and friendly employees. The workers greet you, warmly chat with you while another makes your drink, and make you feel like the most important customer. On top of that, the drinks and food are amazing!! This is a great stop for a quick coffee. The girls working were super friendly, and we were served quickly! I wasn't the biggest fan of what I had (nothing they did, just wasn't a good choice on my part), but I still drank it, because it was well-made, and I could tell the coffee was good quality.
