What a WONDERFUL team! I came in 30 minutes before closing, late for a party, with a PILE of gifts,…read morefor a friend that was leaving town. It was a high stakes do or die wrapping emergency :). Ms. Haley, and Ms. Melissa, were just fantastic. They helped me just absolutely whirlwind a stack of gifts. Im sure they had other work that needed to be done before closing, they were patient and kind and incredibly efficient, and didn't make me feel like a bother or rude even though it was so close to closing. And took me thought a whole wrapping design concept, to make sure everything matched inside and out. As a shopper, who failed to plan ahead, I knew that the store had other responsibilities aside from my "I need this wrapped RIGHT now" situation. And halfway through my wrapping a flurry of customers came in the store, I didn't make any comments, it would have been TOTALLY reasonable for Haley and Melissa to politely tell me "Sir we close in 15 minutes and have 10 other customers, you can pick this up first thing in the morning." But they didn't leave me hanging, their communication and teamwork together was stellar; one would tag out help customers, make sure that they had a good experience, while the other attended to me; then if someone else needed help, one would leave the wrapping table while the other moved in seamlessly - to make sure my deadline was met. They still took the time to give attention to any small details, like cutting tails in the ribbon or making sure my gifts had nice tags; even though they were under the clock. They worked quickly without working hastily, it was efficient not rushed. I watched these two women set a wrapping design/speed record, while attending to 6-8 other active customers. Everyone was happy, laughing together, no one felt like I was getting prioritized and I didn't feel like I got pushed to the bottom of the importance list. Because of their skill, effort, and kindness I was able to make my event on time and share a few special last moments of heartfelt gift giving with one of my closest friends before his move. These two woman completed the amount of work of 4 staff members without breaking a sweat, with a smile on their face. This is my new go to store, and Paper Source is very lucky to have them both.

I thought for sure that Paper Source would have it b/c in the past, I've found so many cool birthday things, most esp cards. It's been a minute since I've been there and had no idea 1) they're owned by Barnes & Noble now 2) they have a rewards program 3) they have someone who works there who goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to help. I point this out b/c in the past I've had to flag someone down for help as if I was at a huge department store. As soon as I came in the store, this gentleman Joel helped me. Even when we found there was NO "Happy 75th Bday: cards, he continued to make suggestions for how to help me celebrate my friend's 75th, including buying the numbered candles they have (which I love & have bought there) as well a bunch of other creative ideas. Much appreciated! Their inventory is outrageous! So many interesting & unusual items to buy for gifts, parties, etc. One of those unusual items is the Magic Butterfly that you wind up & put in a card & when the person opens up the card, it FLIES out of the card. So cool! And the person receiving it can wind it back up & pay it forward to another friend or fam member. (Side note: Make sure you watch the "Magic Butterful" video if you buy one b/c it actually shows you how to wind it so it works & it doesn't break).

We used their services for our custom wedding invitation, welcome bags, ceremony programs, place cards, menus, day-of signage and seating chart. Upon our first meeting, we instantly fell in love with her style, eye for detail and devotion to her projects. Rene worked with us to produce a beautiful invitation suite and our guests were taken aback by the elegant touch she added to our wedding day. We had guests who thought her work was so beautiful that they didn't want to open the invitation for fear that they would damage it and we are still having people tell us how gorgeous our invitation is several months after the wedding. Rene walked us through the process smoothly and professionally, designing some themes that tied the wedding together with our color palette and floral design. She communicated with us in a timely fashion and was very patient and helpful in getting things just right, even when extra drafts were required. She combines talent and professionalism with warmth and a personal touch. We cannot thank her enough for all of her hard work and highly recommend Celebrations in Paper for any and all of your paper needs!

I would 100% recommend her business and I will be sure to use her for personal or work matters moving forward. Thank you Rene.

UPDATE: The company informed me that they are going to make…read moreit right by expediting the order and refunding for the inconvenience. I really appreciate this action by them. I plan to give them another opportunity soon. Disappointed in Customer Service after 2 years of great service and somehow it became my fault? Again, let me start off by saying, great experience first 2 years with Handwrytten! Now, let me tell you about why I am giving them a 1 star review and I would hope that you do your due diligence before using them. Issue 1 - selecting the date you want them to actually mail the cards. Process was easy. This year, "The delay occurred due to the high volume of orders during this year's holiday season." By the way, when selecting a date, the dates that are not available are x out....I selected a date that wasn't x out and more than 2 weeks before I wanted to have them sent. Fail/issue 1. Issue 2 - customer service correspondence. As you can see from issue 1 response, lame excuse. 11 emails going back and forth with CSR (Jessica Koch) and the final one was we have canceled your order and issued a refund. Wait, what?! I received an email confirmation today (which was now 12 days late) that an order in process has been canceled? Was it even in process? If you are a small business owner, relying on another small business owner to perform, use caution here. I have asked for a supervisor to actually discuss this whole mess on the phone and I am still waiting for a response. Meanwhile, I am not SCRAMBLING due to their lack of performance to send out simple Holiday Cards to my clients. UNBELIEVABLE...... I appreciate the response below from the company but canceling the order and issuing a refund is not the desired response! That was the easiest response by them yet it still put me in a situation that I am now in. Holiday cards not being sent and now I am forced to find an alternative with an EXTREMELY short timeline now!! It should have been to expedite the order and some sort of refund for the inconvenience and promise to review their system since the previous 2 orders were placed exactly the same way with a MUCH better result!

Perfect customer service and a good variety of gifts and trinkets…read more The customer service was wonderful. When I first walked in, there was an immediate greeting and conversation. The owner asked what I was there for, then gave me ideas based on how I described the person I was getting a gift for. I didn't even need to fully describe the person, the owner just knew what sounded good fully based off of my comments about what was funny. The owner was funny himself, was very bubbly and open, and respectful. The store itself had a good variety of options to choose, from funny and humorous gifts to cute jewelry and postcards. Everything was chaotic in a good way, fun and organized, and colorful. It's not for everyone, but I definitely think that a huge group of people would enjoy this place for what it is. The pricing was honest, no prices were hidden from view, and was fairly priced for how expensive a lot of souvenir shops are today. In total, I got five antique postcards that aren't made by the company anymore (and were collectible), a cute pink rock bracelet, a funny pin, and three suckers (one was free as a gift). All together, for the nine paid for objects, it was $46.46 before tax and $50.69 after the tax. If you're not wanting the usual boring gifts people get, you should absolutely visit this location. The store is lovely, and so is the owner. And if I may, I truly think stores like this should be more widely known and cherished, so please do try to check out this place when you can. BYEEEEEEEEEE
