Jelly pedi and mani I've been to this place 3 times so far when I go, I take my son who is nine he usually like the jelly pedi too so he can move his feet around and play in the jelly they share packages of the jelly and still charge you to $55 per person. They are quick to take your money but when there are issues, they suddenly don't speak English and the manager is no where to be found. The clear coat turned yellow in less than 48 hours. I was hoping to love this place, since I just moved in the neighborhood. The staff is very warm, kind & attentive, but I don't think my nail technician knew how to do a regular pedicure.The edges of my nail polish was very rigid. You can see the layers of nail polish & to make it worst- there was a tiny little dust particle in the top coat, she applied it to my nail & ignored it's existence. I'm so disappointed in the service here. I paid almost $50 to get a dip manicure. Even though I had an appointment the lady rushed through it as if she was doing me a favor. As if that wasn't bad enough less than 24 hours later the polish cracks pulling my natural nail underneath in 2 separate directions. I go back the next day (2 days after getting my nails done) so that they can fix it and there are 2 customers and 2 workers. They tell me they're too busy and can I come tomorrow in the middle of the day WTF!!! Favorite place to get my pedicure! :) they work super fast but do a great job every time.

We had a very poor experience yesterday. My daughter had gel on he toes and asked for them to take it off before getting a pedicure. The tech did not soak the nails at all and chipped the polish off with a tool and in the process ripped the nail off at top! The nail was SO short and jagged. She had to ask he to straighten the nail. She charged $10 to remove the gel which would have been fine if she did it correctly. My daughter gets frequent pedicures and said it was the worst she ever had. I feel this location is not what it used to be. Obsessed with my gel dip manicure with DEE (the best ). She is so professional and great to talk too. She nails the shape every time ( no pun intended :)I prefer longer nails and this makes them strong and I can keep them longer . They usually lost about 3 weeks . No chips or breakage ! I have also been in since Covid and am very impressed by the Sanitizing procedures, limited the number of customers, and the glass infrastructure's they have put in to keep you safe. read more

I got a gel pedicure a week ago and the paint is already chipping!! The guy rushed on my feet and I got there at 630 mind you they close at 8. I could tell he was irritated and he was rushing and being very aggressive so I said to him "you guys close at 8 right" and he said "no we closing early today". He should have told me to come a different day instead of trying to fit me in just to rush on my toes. I will never come here and spend my money with them again. Updated review. Came back two years later out of convenience and found Mike! He does a great job with my SNS manicure! They also serve wine now and as a mom of twin toddlers..... that is amazing to maximize on my time away haha Horrible. Have two attempts because I am new to the neighborhood and it would be convenient. First time got a half ass "spa pedicure". And second time got a simple manicure that was clearly not so simple for the nail tech who couldn't seem to stay in the lines after two tries painting my finger nails. Don't go to Ann. I got a dipped manicure for the first time. She told me it would last 3 weeks. Less than 24 hours later, it was lifting and getting caught in my hair. When I inquired about getting it fixed, Ann told me they would charge me for it. Will not be going back. I came in for a walk in appointment on a sunday morning. It wasn't too crowded and they saw me within 15 minutes of walking in. I got a pink and white fill and got my acrylics shortened for $43. Mike did a great job on my nails and was very meticulous. He didn't really talk to me at all but I'm really pleased with how my nails look. read more

I have been there several times. Had new tips put on yesterday and this morning called for a fix because totally unhappy. Tech who did my tips yesterday (Jason) was so polite and professional and fixed it (somewhat). However, I have to agree with several past posts - Manager/Owner "Dee" is very arrogant and needs to exercise good customer service skills with customers who are not her "faves". I felt completely gaffed off when I tried to show her my issue (even though I liked the tech). She needs to take customer service training. Also, second round not good either, and when I called she got silent and then someone else came on and said Dee gave her the phone because she was busy and gave the number of someone else to call to complain. Guess that's one reason they aren't busy anymore... customer service is everything that matters. read more

I tried to give this place a chance despite of all the bad reviews but they truly deserve all the negative reviews. By far the worst nail experience I've had. I walked in today to get a mani. Nearly more than half way through when I am getting ready to pay, the lady tells me that it's cash only. She insisted to paint my nails and then have me go out to get cash which I did. She didn't give me any time to dry my nails so needless to say the paint job got messed up. When I paid her, she re-did my nails then basically asked me not to touch anything and leave. Again giving me no time to dry my nails. My nails were destroyed by the time I got to my car. The customer service is so bad it's comical. I will never ever go here again even though it's walking distance from my house. I strongly advise for no one to go here and waste their money. I feel awful!!! read more

So..let's start of saying how amazing and accommodating they are! I, of course forgot to make an appointment. Then of course I'm in a hurry rushing for a dinner event. I called and talked to Christina, the Germantown location was FULL (as always) till later in the afternoon but then she offered to squeeze me in at this location and with no hesitation I said yes and flew there right away. When I got there I was greeted right away, being a complete indecisive person with thousands of Pinterest ideas; I couldn't come up with what color I wanted but Christina had great patience for me ( and at the same time the line at the door grew longer) but she didn't rush me one bit. I came in to get a gel manicure. I really like how close the salon is so I thought I would give it an other try after a year of previously going here. I walked in for my appointment and I will say the place is clean. The technician however was busy cleaning off her own toe nails during my treatment. I thought it was pretty odd. She didn't clean off my nails or cut away any dead skin. She was in such a rush and pretty annoyed when I decline dipped nail treatment. The end result was subpar. It was lumpy, parts of my nail missed polish, and it chipped in about two days. After a year I thought they would have improved but I'm not very impressed. Paying 40$ for gel nails that felt more like polish wasn't worth it. Regardless I tipped and went on with my day. read more

I got my nails done just over a week ago and the white tip on my french manicure is turning brown and the top coat is cracking and starting to chip. I'm not doing anything out of my daily routine and I have never had this happen before after getting a gel french. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE NEW HARRIS TEETER LOCATION, FYI: I've literally been to hundreds of nail salons. Hundreds. I want to give this salon a five star review because I like the new facility and the employees are great. But there is something that is bothering me and it's keeping me from doing so... I've been to this new location twice, and have had relatively good experiences. But the last time I was in there I took my four-year-old daughter in for a manicure and pedicure as well and the cost is $25. It lasts a week or so, so to me that's a decent price for a kid mani/pedi (even though most places charge less than $20). However, they painted polkadots on my daughter's fingers and toes... I was surprised that there was an additional charge for this considering the steep kid mani/pedi cost... I was even more appalled when I went to pay and they charged me $13 for polkadots on a four-year-old hands and toes. 3/01/14--Update... the manager called me to discuss her business policy. This was a (in her eyes) a LEGIT charge (that's slightly upsetting in and of itself)--she actually told me they should have charged me $10 not $13 and originally only offered to refund the $3.00 overage. Obviously she could tell I was appalled. She offered the $13.00 refund which I readily accepted. Let me tell you a couple things about this salon--it's beautiful and well-maintained. The staff is overall lovely. BUT, I was truly upset at how the manager handled my complaint--and she STILL doesn't seem to get it. When she called me she told me that most of her customers "get upset" when she quotes them prices so she doesn't normally do that, I told her that she owed it to customers to tell them if their bill is going up by 50%. I'm sorry, if I think I'm paying $25 for a kid mano/pedi and you charge me $38--THAT'S A PROBLEM and YOU OWE IT TO ME TO TELL ME! She told me that when the manicurist asked me if she could put polka dots on her toes, that that was "substantial and considered asking for approval" to spend this money. Let me tell you something as a professional to a professional--NO IT'S NOT. Here's how the situation should have been handled "Jen, I'm so very sorry for the miscommunication, why don't you come in and let me refund the money you were overcharged. In the future there is a charge for nail art (POLKA DOTS) even on kids, but I apologize and will discuss with my staff to make sure they're more clear with our new customers." THE CORRECT RESPONSE IS NOT TO MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I'VE DONE SOMETHING WRONG. And by the way, when I went in and introduced myself to you to actually get the refund, I told you thank you, and you copped an attitude with me and ignored me. So, I'm changing my review and giving you three stars, not two. I'll be back very sporadically, but you had an opportunity to do RIGHT by a customer and FAILED in my book. I've been intending to write a review for this nail salon long ago but decided to keep it short and sweet so here goes. I am convinced that Dee writes her own reviews sdon't believe the hype. First visit my sister and I came I went to Tiffany for a full set and my sister went to the gentleman towards the front my nails were nice and hers had to be corrected at another salon when we returned from vacation. Second visit I came alone and decided to book with Dee based off of the reviews... MAJOR FAIL! She's loud and in my opinion jokes too much while servicing clients and a little "hood". The pedicure was the worst. She cut my big toe too short, which I told her and she said it was because of my nails BS. My manicure was a waste I had to go home to shape them myself because after asking her to shape my nails even was a waste of my breath. My eyebrow and lip wax was nice by Tiffany hate that I didn't book with her in the first place. Every other appointment I scheduled was with Tiffany. She's sweet, personable, doesn't talk to much and is a 5 across the board. I didn't rate this salon a 5 because I had to account for the service by others. She takes her time and rocks every design I ask for! I've never seen them turn away walk-in customers but it's busy on the weekends so I usually call ahead for an appointment. I have been a regular client of Passion Nail Salon for a very very long time, Germantown and Clarksburg locations. The services continue to be very good. The salon strives to be top notch. My comment is in reference to lack of maintenance at the Clarksburg location lately. The pedicure chairs are in need of repair/replacement. They are busting and sticking the clients in the legs. The towels were terrible at my last visit which was January 29, 2020 . The towels were raggedy and rough. This is not the standard, the salon has projected over the years.The salon has always projected to be a stylish, clean, friendly place. I am hopeful that the owners will get these housekeeping issues fixed soon. I have judge other nail salons by Passion Nails...and many fall short. However, in order to keep their top notch status Passion Nails need to do the required maintenance. read more

So I have been to this place several times now. Like any other salon, your happiness with the service can depend on the manicurist you get, so I understand the variety in reviews. My first time here was with a group of friends and my mani was horrible. I get gel because it lasts longer, but Tiffany put it on so thick on the edges my nails felt square, and I don't mean the shape of the tip - I mean rubbing my finger over the top of my nail I felt a ridge at the side like a freaking square. It was horrible! The only reason I went back is because everyone else had a better experience and their nails looked much nicer. Plus, the gel was on so thick I couldn't get the crap off myself! After reading some reviews I decided to ask for Dee when I went back, and I have been with her ever since. I see some people complaining about her and to each their own, but I go there because of her. I personally love that she will hold a conversation with me. She has a big personality and a fun sense of humor. It makes the experience more enjoyable for me. She takes her time and always does an excellent job. She is meticulous and always makes sure the nail is covered and smooth. I go once a month and my nails never chip or crack like they have at other salons. Dee also does great designs. She switches it up every time. I usually tell someone what I want, but with Dee I just let her do her thing and I have never been disappointed. I also love that they have a big selection of the color changing polish. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are so dang expensive. Of course, I get gel and designs so it's never going to be cheap, but other places will do it for a good 20 bucks less. That being said, I still come here every time because the quality, conversation and atmosphere makes it worth while. They also give a discount if you pay in cash which is nice, and with an atm right across the street I always opt for that. read more

This is not my normal nail salon of choice but I go here out of convenience since it is close to home. The last time I was there, went in for a polish change on my toes where the woman rushed so much that she cut me. I never complained, paid and went on my way. I chalked it up to one bad experience and gave them another chance. I went a few days ago, and there were only 2 people working there. The same woman was in the pedicure chair watching her phone and pretty rudely asked what I needed done and motioned for me to go sit down. Without a hello or anything she just began working on my nails. She then stopped, propped up her phone (she also had AirPods in), and began watching something on her phone WHILE continuing to work on my nails. I thought this was odd but just kept quiet. Not even a minute later, she takes her phone and starts texting and smirking. I was frustrated at this point and while I could have been extremely rude, I asked her nicely to please continue to do my nails since that was what I was there for and she looked at me, threw her phone down and proceeded to grab my hand. I was so beside myself with her reaction. I immediately looked over at the man working there and asked for him to finish my nails because I wasn't going to deal with her and her attitude. She walked away, ranting in her language and went back to her pedicure chair where she continued watching her phone. I was pretty upset to say the least. I paid for my services and left but felt like something needed to be said so I went back in and asked to speak with her since she had already gone to the back. She came back out and seemed like a completely different person smiling and saying hi to me. I asked her if she realized how rude, unprofessional and disrespectful that was and she kept telling me that she wasn't mad. She also said that she asked me if she could text (which she never did) but even so I told her I was there to pay for a service and she not once, but twice was using her phone in the middle of doing my nails. All I was looking for was an apology and she said she refused to apologize. I have told anyone who will listen to not visit this establishment. I could not believe this experience. I loved Passion Nails until my daughter told me about her friends experience tonight! The two girls went in excited to get their nails done for prom. Her friend wanted glitter on one nail. The technician hurriedly finished her nails and started to clean up. She said I wanted glitter and was ignored. When going to pay at the register, she told the lady that she wanted glitter. The lady said something to the technician in their language and then turned to my daughters friend and said go pick a color. So she said again I wanted glitter on one nail. At this point the lady replied oh she can't do that it's probably best that you just leave! What?? These are paying girls/ customers? Just unacceptable!
