I usually get intricate nail designs and they always look great. I constantly get compliments and I know they're genuine! The vibe is a bit on the quiet side, which is perfect for an introvert like me who's a bit shy, and best of all, they're CLEAN! This is my absolute favorite nail spa in the area, every time I go the workers are very sweet and helpful and I always leave content and happy with what ever service I recieved. Rachel is the nail tech I usually book with because her work is always clean and precise and she is overall a sweet person. I used to drive all the way to DC and had to pay for parking and more for my lashes but now I go to Rachael. BEWARE: The most SUBPAR PEDICURE I've ever had at a price of $85! True waste of money! 1. Don't waste time with their premium service, because you have a 50/50 chance at subpar results 2. Don't have Rachel give you a pedicure unless you feel like micromanaging her subpar service 3. Don't expect customer service from the (young gentleman) manager, even when you go back kindly the very next day I tried out A&B nails for the first time yesterday and I purchased the TOP TEIR $85 pedicure + $15 for gel. My tech RACHEL was super sweet; but she rushed through the actual pedicure, only to spend a ridiculous amount of time on painting (gel) my toes. While she was painting, I watched the lady next to me get the same exact pedicure and actual receive exfoliation, callous remover, etc. That tech knew what she was doing. Anyhow, I brought to myher attention the difference in a very polite way and she said "sorry", but she already drained all of the water. My feet were so lubed up with lotion when I left that I didn't see how dry, cracked and untreated my feet (esp heels and toes) were until that night. I came back to show them this morning and have them actually exfoliate as per their service and the young manager consulted 2 other techs who couldn't even be bothered to look up from their phones. But they indicated in their language I got the service I paid for and there was nothing I could do. My feet today essentially look the same as when I walked in yesterday, except for the polish and I let them know my review was coming. They didn't care... Save yourself the trouble and don't go here unless you want to gamble with your money. I asked for a partial refund for the service I didn't receive. I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card. My nail is a little grown from when I first got them but they did a really cool design where every time you move them, the heart grows larger or smaller. They were very beautiful and very intricate and they make you feel comfortable. Staff is really kind here and this is the only reliable nail spa I will go to. Service went down hill drastically after the pandemic started. You would think this is when they would kick the service up a notch with less and less people getting beauty services done. Not this place. Tee made it seem like I was an inconvenience anytime I called to make an appointment. It was always a problem and she was always unwilling to accommodate. It was around New Years and my appointment was at 6:30p since I get off at 6p and work in Virginia. I told Tee I would try my hardest to get there at 6:15p but could not guarantee. I called around 6:08p to tell Tee I wouldn't get there until 6:30p and she said she wasn't going to stay for me. Needless to say, I have thus found another salon and nail technician. read more

I like places that use the internet in their business practices. This place you call to place an appointment, and they sent a text to confirm. Then I get a text the day of the appointment. When you arrive, input your phone #. The salon is clean and friendly. They usually have some soft inoffensive music going, and the tv on silent with subtitles. I go for pedi's with my daughter every 6 weeks. They can usually accommodate both of us at once. All of the ladies do good work for a decent price. This has been the best salon consistently, after spending a year or so trying different places when I moved to the area, with hit or miss results. I now have a salon that I enjoy and trust! read more

I called early on a Sunday morning to schedule a pedicure and asked for a 4 pm slot. I received a call around 2 ok asking if I could come in any sooner and I was able to make it at 3:15. I later realized that I was the last appointment of the day. I can appreciate that they didn't want to wait around on me. I was nicely greeted when I entered and the girl who did my pedicure was fairly gentle. She was thorough with scrubbing my feet and cleaning my toes and the design was pretty cute. Unfortunately, I have to rate this nail spa poorly. I had a 4 pm appointment today that I made in advance. I rearranged my schedule to be there on time and I was. Unfortunately, they were unable to put me with a nail tech until 4:47 pm (47 minutes after my original appointment time). I am understanding of a 15 minute grace period but this was far too long to wait when I made an appointment in advance. While they did a good job and worked quickly once I was seen, it was not a pleasant experience when I was not told at the forefront that they were running so far behind. I have had good experiences at this salon before and it is very cute. However, instead of telling me they were running so far behind, they took off my polish right away and had me wait there for 47 minutes. Had I known at the beginning, I would've left and come back another time. The way their online appointment system is done online, they couldve not accepted my appointment time or countered with another time or not accepted my request. Here they did accept my request days in advance. Honor your appointment times or do not accept appointments in advance. read more

I've been going to Ty for years now after I found her at her past workplace and I have been so happy working with her. Clean lines and great shape! They have a great selection of polishes (good quality) for regular manicure as well as for gel. They also offer the Parafeen service complimentary!! I have never had it done before because they always charge and I didn't know what I was missing but wow! Ty dipped my hands in a wax bath, let them dry, and peeled the wax off a few minutes later. I was just there and because it's the winter, my hands were very dry and after the Parafeen was peeled off, my skin was left so much softer and not dry at all! It was great! I have been a customer of Ty's for over 5 yrs. Hadn't been to see her in a while because I moved to Laurel. I make an appointment with her for a full set and Pedi for NYE(12/30). Sunday at work I noticed some of my nails were lifting (5 nails). I attempted to call them 3 times on Monday to let them know about the nails, but they were closed. So Tuesday I call and speak to a manager I assume (I requested the Manager), state that my nails are lifting and they told me to come in and they would fix them. I clearly stated I didn't want my nails fixed I wanted my money for my full set back. I was told no problem just to come in. I went in the store and showed them my nails, they were only going to offer to "fix" the nails. But any nail professional (who's truthful) will tell you not to get a fill or drill your nails until the 2 weeks mark. When I stated this they stated yes you have to come back!?! Ridiculous!!! And the entire time I'm at the front complaining, Ty never said anything to me never even really made eye contact SMH. Just her, the man at the front, and another lady kept going back and forth in their own language. EXTRA unprofessional!! Until now I've never had a issue like this and how this was handled shows that they really don't value their returning customer's, they look at every client as $$$. Maybe I'm weird, but if you ruined my nails there's no way I'm sitting back in your chair and let you mess them up again. Never returning here and I'm pissed because my job involves my hands and this looks tacky AF!!! Won't get anymore of my money. Wherever I get my nails done I always request gel because of the type of work I do and they indeed have lasted me two plus weeks. Unfortunately in this picture it is only 6 days after. Very disappointed and upon calling they didn't give me the courtesy of telling me they would take care of it they just said "come in and we will see" poor customer service. Today I got the nail dipping powder service and it comes with complementary hot wax dipping for you hands. Their price point is a bit more expensive but it's worth it they have great reviews on Yelp and it's all true that's why I stop by. From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you enter it's clean bright and shiny everything looks brand new offer every service manicures, pedicures, eyebrows, lash extensions, etc.. and it's a good idea to call and make an appointment because they are busy but they do offer a walk-in you my have to wait a little bit but it's worth the wait. Bad customer service. I went in on a Friday afternoon and was told it would be 15 minutes wait for a pedicure. After 20 minutes I asked how much longer and they assured me only a few more minutes. After 10 more minutes I said if it's going to take longer I need to leave and they told me it would only be 10 more minutes like I'd think it'd be good news. I walked out immediately. Who knows how long I really would've waited. While I was there a group of 3 women walked in and were treated similarly. Who knows, they may do great nails, but their terrible customer service was enough to keep me from finding out.
