I came in over the weekend to get eyelash extensions done for the first time. I'm so happy that my appointment was with Nafeesha because she did a perfect job! I always used strip lashes with Duo Glue which was a pain because they never stayed put with my eyelids. However, I'll put a stop to that and go to Nafeesha for my lashes. Nafeesha is very kind, skilled, and informative. She asked what kind of style I was going for and put her professional input on it. I usually love dramatic lashes but since it was my first time I wanted to start off with something natural but also noticeable for my Asian eyes. I saw myself in the mirror after she was finished and it was like looking into those Snapchat filters every girl is raving about. My lashes were the perfect length and volume that I imagined. Two times in less than 6 months that after the appointment my eye lashes is falling a lot. I have done my eye lashes since 2018 ( in another place) so I know what I am complaining. They just give one touch every 6 months and the second is regular price ( after 2 days you have done) and is not cheaper. They may need to have better worker or better product there. So I decided to check this spot out since I was in the area. I typically go to Amazing Lash Studio but I figured I'd give this spot a shot. Glad I did!! Let me tell you, as soon as I laid down, I was happy! I got my lashes done by Janine and she was AMAZING! From her customer service and hospitality as soon as I walked in through the door, to how much I'm in love with her work! So let's start with the layout, it's an open floor plan, super cute, and bright, which is cool. Their beds sold me. At other places I've gone to, they have straight beds. The beds at Deka Lash are curved which make them SO much more comfortable! I don't know about you, but laying flat for 2-3 hours is something that I can't do lol at other places I typically ask for a "break" so I can move to the side or something haha I get antsy as it is, add staying still and laying flat to the mix and you got someone who probably isn't the ideal person to do lashes on lol their tables/beds being curved was a huge win for me. Next thing that caught my attention. Instead of ONLY using tape for my bottom portion of my eye, she put some type of gel sticker. It felt great. Again, I get my lashes done pretty regularly and wherever I've gone, they just use tape. It's uncomfortable AF. At least here they put some type of cooling gel sticker thingy on my face before adding tape. The bed and tape made the 2.5 hours waaaay easier than usual. Throughout my session, Janine and I chatted and it helped make it seem like the time went by faster. She's extremely nice and friendly. She was careful when applying both the tape and lashes. When she was done, my eyelashes/eyes weren't glued together like my other experiences. I asked her for a more dramatic look and she definitely delivered. Once we were done she walked me through the "care" process even tho I told her I've done my lashes before. She said she wanted to go through it still to make sure my lashes last as long as possible. She was extremely thorough which tells me she knows what she's doing. Great first impression and my lashes are on point. I really can't complain about anything. Will for sure be back and Janine is now my go to girl for lashes. Glad I took the chance to try this spot out. During first week after getting lashes done, I'd wake up with a lash here and there. I thought that wasn't so bad but by end of second week, my left eye had barely any left while right eye was following suit. I was taking good care of them and applying the cleanser and brushing like I was supposed to. I'm just not impressed and with the money I spent, I expected much more longevity and quality. I chose the option of any artist, and when I called about being charged $129 for a lash fill I never received, they informed me that the lash artist I chose had a policy to charge the full amount when an appointment was cancelled. I never ONCE received any phone call from this establishment regarding my appointment the day of confirming or checking to see if I was able to come. I understand no call no shows, but a full charge is very unnecessary, especially with a price that high (rip off). beware of fraud with this place cause there was NO STATEMENT ONLINE REGARDING A FULL CHARGE FOR NO CALL NO SHOW!!!!
