They ran into a hiccup with the layout of our old home on the first day and immediately called Paul to come down and trouble shoot the issue to ensure the appropriate solution was found. my furnace ws not coming on last year until I would turn it off then back on every ti,e the house would cool down and then it just wouldn't come back on without my turning it off then back on changed the thermostat not that so I called Del Johnson they sent a man out he had me open all my vents and said that was what was wrong and looked at the furnace maybe wiggled a few things .$75.00 still did not work then the same man came back took some part out of it to clean I asked him what that was going to cost he did not answer me he brought the part back still did not work then I got a bill for $315.00 for what still does not work I called several times and was always given the same answer would call me back never did then finally they sent another man out that said it was the water pump I asked again how much would that be he answered about $200.00 I called the company and asked to speak to the owner I don't know who I spoke to then but was promised they would return my call the next day they never did at that time I told them I was not paying the bill as my furnace was never repaired now I get a letter from them saying they sent another man out and I said I would not pay for additional parts and labor I did not say any such thing I said I was not paying for the work they already claimed they di that made no difference in the working of my furnace I have been cold all year I definately always pay my bills but do not understand why a company would ever expect to be paid when they never made one bit of change to my furnace it is still not working read more

Do yourself a favor and call these guys. They LITERALLY saved me over $4500. They went out of their way and called the manufacturer of the broken part and convinced them to extend my warranty so I only had to pay shipping. They took such good care of my home and were very kind to me. read more

I called because my air conditioner was not working. Two people showed up and told me they needed to order a part. A few days later another person came and I was told the previous two had misdiagnosed the problem and that he would need to order a part. A few days later I received a telephone call and was told the part had arrived. The next day we called and was told the part would be installed that day. , We called the office and was told we were on the list . No one showed and no one called to let us know we would have to go through the weekend without air. We are in our eighties and going without air is not good. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

This company exchanged out my old working direct vent heater for a newer slightly higher BTU direct vent heater a year ago. (Upgrade right!) The pilot light will not stay lit on the heater they installed. Over the past year, Del has sent out various technicians, but no one has been able to figure out why this heater will not stay lit. I have been relighting my heater two to three times a week for a year and he sends a technician out every so often over the past year to fiddle with it, and there is no resolution in sight. I am extremely frustrated that Del cannot figure out why the pilot light on this heater won't stay lit and I am sorry I ever had this company replace my heater. (The only relief in sight, is that it is almost summer) read more

We had a company come to install a new ac unit and couple it with our existing furnace! They didn't finish the job and screwed up what they did work on. We were left high and dry. Del Johnson came in and addressed the issues, and were much more affordable than my husband and I were expecting! We Would recommend them! My only complaint is that their communication is lacking! They came unexpectedly two days earlier than originally planned, which was great! But then never let me know that the work was finished. I had to call multiple times to get that confirmed! read more

Had a prior air repair person from a different company come out over the summer to fix my heating and air unit, they bypassed the circuits to get the AC running, but did not fix the unit. No heat during winter. They did not comeback to fix it when called! Luckily my Aunt had heard about Del Johnson, and that it was a good company that could fix the heating and air unit right. They were very professional, knowledgable, and knew exactly what was needed to get the unit fixed. I had heat within the week. Would recommend them to others. read more

Sooo this company was my second opinion for our gas furnace. We initially had Franks come look and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it but suggested replacing the gas valve priced at $400 but said we should most likely trash it and get a new one since it was falling apart and hazardous. It's an older furnace so we didn't want to dump a bunch of $ into it if it wasn't for sure the issue. Then Del Johnson came out and I expressed my frustration at Franks lack of knowledge and said that the heating unit seemed to look pretty well kept and I didn't feel that it needed to be replaced. They told us basically the same thing Franks did and quoted us a new unit. They said the pilot light was "inconsistent" and would start out strong then dwindle and shut itself off after 5 minutes, and I could see that happening when I watched it try and start up. Blue flame turning to yellow after 5 mins or so. Del Johnson also said the unit looked rough and hazardous with soot build up. So we decided to wait and have a retired HVAC mechanic take a look. Turns out it was our god damn gas regulator on our propane tank....and then he just needed to adjust the gas to air ratio. It took him 45 minutes to do this and clean the pilot (which neither of the other companies had done). And now our furnace is running like brand new with no issues.... So thank you for taking my $ and treating me like a moron because I'm a female. Glad I trusted my gut instinct and got a third opinion. Our mechanic also said that our unit looked to be in good shape and could potentially last us another 10 years. WTF Del Johnson?! read more
