My friend's family was nice enough to have me over to their Thanksgiving so I stopped by here to pick up a bouquet for his mother. The flowers were nice enough, but not really as large as I expected from a $40 price point. She was really happy with them but I probably could have gotten the same reaction from a lower minimum cost. It's biggest plus is the convenient location. When heading to any of the downtown Del Mar restaurants it's easy to stop by here for a quick friendly gesture to score some points. Next time I'll probably plan a little further ahead to save some dough but it's good to know they're here if I'm in a pinch. read more

I got her work address, but I thought she still lived in Del Mar. I sent it the address because it popped up on google maps and I was in a hurry because I wanted it to get there that day. I didn't even see San Diego on the text message my mom sent me for her work address. They have the same exact address in Del Mar and San Diego plus five other cities in the country. I was scrambling to get her home address because she was already off work. I still wanted to get them there for her actual birthday. Wow. I couldn't have been happier with the day. As soon as I get pictures from my photographer, I will be posting them here and on their facebook page. EVERYTHING came out better than expected. In fact, they came out exactly like the pictures I shared with them (I told them - I want this feel/look but not the price). Imagine my surprise when they looked exactly like what I showed them! They delivered to my hotel then went to the venue to set up. I WISH I actually had time to look around during the day but you know how wedding days are... The pictures I did see look fabulous! They also surprise me with some extra flowers along the aisle which I didn't order. Since I wasn't going with abundance for the ceremony, they knew to go with bright colors to make more of an impact - and they sure did! Also, since my wedding was 2 days after V-Day, they were VERY VERY busy. But they were still very helpful with a few last minute changes I needed to make. Best Ever! Unfortunately my flower order was the last delivery of the day . . . When I placed the order the day prior, I was surprised by the delivery fee of $20.00 for my location which was 2.67 miles from the flower shop. When I hesitated on my order, the gracious assistant on the phone assured me the arrangement ($85) would be beautiful and the delivery on time between (10am and 2pm). The delivery happened at 2:30pm and the flowers are nice and fresh, but not a large as I expected. Will not do business again. read more

I am writing this before I see the flowers (I am in another state) but I asked for a complicated basket with flowers, chocolate, and coffee for a very ill relative and because they are located near lots of consumer stores they were very happy to go and collect a nice assortment for my mother with cancer who needs to eat more. I looked to teleflora for a valentines bouquet. BAD idea. Apparently Del Mar Flower Co. is associated with them. I placed an order for an arrangement of purple tulips. Upon waiting for the flowers to arrive on valentines day, i received a call from teleflora telling me they wouldn't be able to deliver the bouquet until the next day.
