Went to Sweet Floral the morning of Valentine's Day and so glad I did! Was nervous coming in since I know Valentine's Day is probably one of the busiest days for florists and I didn't know if they'd have preset arrangements or if I'd be able to get a custom one. They had a bunch of beautiful arrangements for various price ranges that could fit any budget. My gf has favorite flowers but I wasn't sure how to spot them in the arrangement so I asked for some help. Everyone was very busy but so nice and helpful. When I asked for the flowers I was looking for, Albert came through and helped me make a custom bouquet that was perfect for my gf. Thanks Albert! Albert delivered the flowers for my birthday and could not have been nicer. The bouquet was stunning and he was so energetic and compassionate, it absolutely made my day. There is a reason for all the 5 star reviews!! Albert is amazing, so sweet and so kind. Worked with my price range to create a beautiful bouquet for a new mama. I can't believe I didn't know about his shop earlier (he's been there for 33 years!), and I will always buy my flower arrangements from him in the future. Hours as of the time of this review are different from that stated in Yelp: open 8:30am-1:30pm. But if you leave a message on his voicemail, he gets back to you! read more

Albert is wonderful. I work a busy schedule so I left him a message and was able to communicate all the planning via text from that point. I gave him a budget and what he delivered was so beyond what you could get from some corporate delivery service for that price. The arrangement is expressive and personally crafted. I'm so impressed and will absolutely use him for future celebrations. read more

I was annoyed that I couldn't book it on the website and I had to call but I'm so glad that I did. He did an amazing job and had the flowers to my best friend in just a couple of hours. Lovely local florist with great selection and fresh flowers. The owner Albert is super friendly and experienced (he knows how to make an amazing bouquet!). His flowers are cheaper than equivalent sized bouquets from large grocery stores etc and last much longer. The hours on Apple maps are inaccurate for his store but he was open during lunch when I went. read more

Albert loves flowers and brining joy into people's lives. I just stopped by after passing his stand for years and bought a lovely boutique. I asked for flowers that smelled sweet and he had the biggest Lilies in stock! He also picked some unusual fillers--it's so much nicer than most bouquets. They had a great range of pricing options (and reasonably priced) and were very helpful - let me know they could help, directed me to some arrangements with the flower I asked about and then didn't push me while I continued browsing for a while. Albert is such a funny, easy going, and amazing person to order flowers from! I called him this morning around 9am to deliver flowers for my Boyfriend's birthday to his work and he delivered them by 11am! My boyfriend was so surprised and touched! This meaningful review is overdue... My mom sent me a plant arrangement from here after my sweet pup passed away late last year. Per my mom, not only was the owner kind to her over the phone but he was thoughtful in his suggestions for what to send. His care and time spent putting the display together and writing out a card really showed. Everything was so fresh when I got it AND would you believe, all the plants are still alive and thriving! Called Sweet Floral the week of Mother's Day to have flowers delivered for my mom in SD. The florist here was so nice, she was kind and helpful. I'm not sure I would have gotten the right flowers if it wasn't for her. American flowers is an absolute must go if you're looking for flowers for that special someone or that special occasion. I came in not knowing what I wanted so I asked for the florist advice. I told her it was my girlfriend and I's anniversary but I was not sure what kind of flowers I should be getting for her. Without hesitation she explained all the fresh flowers that just came in and what arrangements she could put together for me. It was quite overwhelming so I decided to put my trust in the florists. I told her my girlfriend's favorite colors and that absolutely love pink roses. The florist exceeded my expectations as she put together a gorgeous arrangement. I'm glad I went here because my girlfriend was shocked and amazement by what she received and was in utter Joy. I'm sorry I did not get the florist name but I'm sure everybody in there is skilled in the flower game and take care of you. read more

I called around 8:43am today on my way to work. The business hours are supposed to start at 9:00am, but on the voicemail Albert said that he was going to be late because of an appointment...which was totally fine with me. I ended up leaving a voicemail for delivery and left a description of the recipient (my coworker), my size and price preference, and my work address and phone number. I received a phone call from Albert at 9:50am and he got more detail from me and said that he was going to work on the arrangement and would drop it off by 11:45am. He asked for a message to write on the card and I had him write a general birthday greeting and then added "We are so glad that you are a part of our team!" Albert said that sounded perfect and was definitely going to make her happy! Throughout the entire conversation, Albert was very positive and uplifting and it sounded like he truly loved what he was doing! My coworkers and I went about the day and around 10:30am (40 mins after our call) the most beautiful arrangement walked in!!! My coworker was thrilled and she was very happy at how lovely and colorful it was. She said that she felt like she was in a bed of wildflowers! What a great day for everyone! read more

By far the BEST customer service experience I have ever had anywhere... period! I absolutely see why Sweet Floral has a 5 star rating on Yelp and Google. Albert was incredibly friendly, efficient and made this the smoothest customer experience possible. I needed to send flowers to a friend at Scripps and didn't know their room number yet, but he said that he would find that out and keep me updated. 30 minutes later he informed me of my friends status and that the flowers were on the way, along with a photo of the beautiful arrangement... simply WOW! What a gem! From the first time I spoke with him on the phone, to when I picked up my order from Albert the next day - his customer service blew me away. There's only one other florist listed in Carmel Valley, and my experience in that shop was the complete opposite of my experience with Albert & Sweet Floral. Lucky for me, Albert promised a double orchid lei for me to present to my son for his high school graduation. When I asked for a balloon, he suggested a different type of mylar balloon - and thanks to Albert - my son knew EXACTLY where we were sitting in the stands because we were the one family with a simple yellow smiley-faced balloon. Score! Not only did Albert have my order picked up fresh and ready to go by the time I arrived, but he even had an extra Happy Graduation" balloon blown up, too - as if he knew I'd be asking for one so that I could tie it to the sign we put up in the front yard. Albert is so entertaining, easy to talk to with downright good business sense. He's funny and intuitive, and a breath of fresh air. When working with Albert, you realize he's not really "working" - he's simply enjoying life. And that is evident in how he takes care of his customers. If you're looking for a florist, go see Albert. Albert should double up and go into the candy business because he is the sweetest. The name of his floral shop is not a coincidence, I assure you. I sent a friend of mine a succulent from Sweet Floral as a thank you/congrats. Albert is the one who answered the phone and helped guide me through the process. It wasn't exactly the questions that he asked that won me over, it was his enthusiastic tone and genuine excitement that was so memorable... Me: "Yes, I'd like to order a succulent for delivery. Do you happen to have any available?" Him: "Oh yes, yes we do. I have just the perfect thing for your friend. She is going to love it..." And he went on to describe in detail a plant, the mosaic planter it came in, as well as a bloom that was also coming out of the arrangement. I was sold even before Albert offered the same day delivery. That was the cherry on top of the service sundae. True to his word, the succulent arrived later that afternoon (he even called my friend to let her know it was left on her front porch) and it was properly posted in IG. You don't get service like that every day. Which is probably why Albert has been doing such great business! read more

I have had the extreme pleasure of knowing Al Sweet of Sweet Floral for several year.s My friendship with Al started with my daily walks in Sorrento Valley as a mid day get away from my desk. Often Al and I would visit for 10-15 min before I would continue on with my walk. Several times I had occasion to order flowers for our clients and of course I would always use Al. All I had to do is give him a call with all the info and our clients would call us with raves. Since our business was also client cultivation and retention oriented Al's service only served to put us over the top with our clients. I moved to Texas three years ago and have not had occasion to use Al's services, but I have thought of him often, especially in the spring when the lilacs bloom as that is my favorite flower and Al was always my source for Lilacs. I had the pleasure of dropping in on him today while I am visiting family in San Diego and he greeted me like an old friend with hugs and kisses. He takes such pleasure in his work that it hardly seems like work and he love every minute of it. Like Maya Angelou said: I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. Al makes you feel special and like your business is the only important business he has. There is something physical that happens in your body and to your mood when you look at beautiful flowers, there is just no therapy that make you feel so good. Thanks Al, I enjoy our friendship and always love the flowers. read more

Thank God for Albert!! I started one day early because of previous bad experiences with.com florists. Sure enough, fromyouflowers.com totally screwed up the order. I paid an additional $4.99 to expedite for an A.M. delivery yesterday, the flowers never came. Called in the early afternoon, they said the flowers were on the way. Called again at 3pm, they apologized and said someone would contact me within 24 hours. REALLY?!? Thank God I found Albert on Yelp!! He delivered this beautiful bouquet this morning!! Such a very convenient shop! Stopped by this flower shop on a friday morning to pick up flowers for the bosses and bought 2 bouquets. Al was very nice and personable. Great customer service! And he also made an extra effort to color coordinate each bouquet! I would just recommend paying with cash to help out this small business. He accepts credit, but cash is better. read more

He uses natural items that I've never seen used in arrangements before, and he makes them look spectacular. He will listen carefully to what you have in mind, and he delivers with a lot of added touches - he'll do his magic, and create a personalized masterpiece for you. I work in Sorrento Valley and needed to find some flowers for an event tomorrow so I looked on yelp and within 2 seconds decided to go see Al on my lunch break. When I got there I told him what I needed and he joked that I didn't give him much warning! I loved his little hut and him so much that I had to write this review now and I haven't even picked up the flowers yet! I got there around 12:30pm today and he is having 5 arrangements done for me by 5pm today. If he has the time and the materials he will do it! He is so awesome- I got his whole life story about growing up in PB and having awesome parties and being the jock at Mission Bay HS and how people thought he was crazy to start this flower shop. He has been there for 28 years now! And he lives on a sail boat. Love it!! Update: just picked up my flowers and they are gorgeous!! All the Yelp reviews were true! Albert was great! I had to order flowers for a memorial service and I do not live in the area. Albert was very friendly on the phone. I told him I wanted a floor basket and he gave a price that was higher than I could pay. He worked with me on my price point and offered suggestions. The flowers were beautiful! He made everything easy! He agreed to send a picture of it before it was delivered it to the mortuary. Flowers were delivered on time and they were exactly what I expected! Thanks Albert! read more

SO happy I found this place! The freshest flowers ever. I sent sunflowers to my grandmother for Mother's Day, and she said it was "one of the most beautiful arrangements" she'd seen in all her 80 years! She even told them on the phone she plans to order from them in the future. She's French so she doesn't dole out false compliments ;) When flower shopping, go direct and local for the best deals. It is so rare in this day and age to find someone who actually listens when you call to order an arrangement. Whomever this mgr is who took my call....she needs a lesson in customer appreciation and not to be sassy when people are calling. 0 stars if possible! in response to the post...i did not ask for a refund of the purchase AND free flowers. I wanted the flowers...why would i want a refund and to deliever the flowers. no one works for free! I wanted a $10 refund but the gal who called me wouldnt listen, was snappy, and short.

This was not indicated at all during the order process so was very off putting to hear day of for a Mother's Day arrangement. I am currently out of state for work and an unknown number was calling my cellphone, it was the delivery driver from a trusted florist that was sublet to take care of my order. The driver was going to deliver to the wrong address even though she read the proper address back to me over the phone. I spent about 10-15 minutes on the phone walking her through finding the location of our home and verified delivery via camera and doorbell. When you're paying a premium price to have something done properly and this is the outcome, it was extremely disappointing. I will not be using four seasons flowers for any special occasion again, big let down on many levels. 5-10-2026: To the owner of the shop that just replied back to my review. I am not sure how much more clear I can make this to you, the CORRECT address was provided and everything was filled out appropriately on my end, I am not understanding why you are harping on the fact that this was an online order, if your operation doesn't have the capacity to accommodate this then don't offer it as a service. There is absolutely NO difference in placing an order in person, over the phone and or online. The "trusted" florist you decided to pawn this order off on still attempted to deliver to the WRONG address. Nothing about this was as a success and I cannot believe you have the audacity in a public platform to try and deflect the way that you are. They sent the wrong order first of all-then sent a dead depressing lei rather than a the big white orchid and red rose pictured. I can see from the comments above that they have done this same mistake many times. One or two times is reasonable, but to keep repeating that mistake and ruining people's orders by cutting corners and using cheap Flowers as fillers is called a Scam or fraud. Then when I complained they agreed to refund my order. They charged me $124 for dead mini shriveled up roses a shit ton of white carnations that hadn't barely bloomed yet. And brown tipped ugly sad gloomy dead supposed to be white orchids. All the flowers were mini and there was string showing already! The Lei was shoved in a bag in a box wrapped with an ice pack. I had to sadly compost it. It was that sad. After all that. Only gave me a partial refund and won't respond anymore to me. Please Don't give this place anymore chances to screw up and scam you into buying dead flowers with carnations as fillers. (the other pics of them doing the exact same thing to other customers!)
