After a day at the beach we were looking for a new place to try. Came upon this restaurant on a Saturday night. There was a wait but it went pretty fast. We gave them our name and number and they texted us when our table was ready. We got a table on the porch which was nice. We just ended up getting a large margherita pizza. It came out pretty fast. We were seeing other peoples meals coming out and they all looked delish! Our pizza came out piping hot. It LOOKED like it was going to be too much sauce. You can even see in the photo ... but when we dug it and had our first slice, it was the perfect amount of sauce. It didn't taste overly sauced at all. It was the perfect amount of sweetness. The balance of cheese/sauce/crust was perfect. The crust was firm yet soft. Definitely on our top five list of pizzas! We cannot wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. read more

Food is excellent; this was our first time here so we used a Yelp review that raved about the Eggplant Tower - it was great! We also shared the Tuscan Panini and were able to replace the chicken for grilled shrimp - very tasty!! The pizza looked and smelled wonderful, but a note of CAUTION and the reason for only 3 stars. The pizzas are not uniformly baked (admitted to by management), which caused an issue at the next table that killed the atmosphere for us. We could see that the pizza served to them was not fully cooked, especially compared to the well done pie served to another nearby table. The menu even says that all pizzas are cooked "well done". However the "management solution" was to offer a second, (large) pie or a smaller one (customer's choice) that they would HAVE TO PAY FOR! The right thing would have been to happily replace the undercooked pie with a fresh one at no additional charge. This lack of sensitivity is unconscionable and has us wondering if we will ever go back ... read more

Ambiance is very casual. This is a BYOB very popular with locals because they serve great food in good size portions at reasonable prices. Dined here early last evening, Saturday. We sat on porch, you can also sit inside. Service by Marilyn and bus boys was excellent; they serve quickly and when we were there (510 to 620 pm) they kept filling tables as soon as they became vacant. Most people start with a salad, $12.95 or $13.95 or antipasto $16.95. We started with Apple Pecan Salad, yum. Then most people order a coal-fired pizza, $19.95 for large. This place is always yummy and my most recent trip was no exception. I was there with some family and we shared everything. Starting with the antipasto salad which had a great balsamic dressing, loads of various Italian meats, and was enough for four to share. We also had an order of ice balls which comes with two gigantic and delicious arancini. Then, we had the broccoli rabe and sausage white pizza, honey bacon pizza, and meatball parm pizza. This is a smaller pizzeria that packs a great punch. The coal fire oven creates a slight crisp yet soft middle crust which has great flavor and a tiny bit of char to it. First time at the pizza place as well as the creamery and it will not be the last! We are regulars at the bakery but today we did the pizza and arancini at their restaurant and walked over here for gelato and expresso. The waitress Laila was wonderful. She did recommend the eggplant tower for our next visit as my husband wanted the margarita pizza for his first visit. The ladies at the creamery Aubry and Chloe were simply delightful too! Sweet young ladies with customer service smiles ear to ear! We hope the owner sees this and tells the girls how much they are appreciated. Both spots have great service and experienced staff that shows...The gelato shop was very busy but they greeted every single person as they came in and never missed a step. The chocolate, stracciatella and pignoli were the flavors we tried and all were just delicious. My husband also had a double expresso and he loved that too! We always travel to get Delpontes pizza, we love it and always sit down and eat. However tonight we decided to order three pies to go and when we got home we opened the boxes to our three large pizza and two of them we really smal not even the size of the box and all theee were oval shaped. We've been spending part of our summer in Bradley Beach for over 20 years but this was our first visit to Del Ponte's. Amazing! From the very sweet hostess who seated us right away to Lola our outstanding server, the night was perfect. We sat on the patio which was quite nice (but they definitely need better chairs) Cons- I don't think restaurants should charge patrons for utilizing credit cards...the food is expensive enough. Tried to place an order for 2 large salads and 3 pizzas for a family whose father passed away. I tried to order the food yesterday (Friday) for pick up today (Saturday) since it was a big order, but they wouldnt take the order. Told me I had to call back today- fine. Called back on Saturday at 12:30 for pick up at 5. I live in Warren County NJ and was purchasing the food for a family in mourning. Asked to pay the bill in full over the phone. They dont accept payment over the phone. I asked if they could make an exception as I didnt want my friend to have to pay for the dinner. I was told No. I asked If I could speak to someone who could maybe make an exception and I was told no. They told me I could drive there (2 hours) and pay for the food but that was all they would do. Came here on July 4 and there was no wait. My group of 5 shared 2 apps, 2 Large Pizzas and the trio of ice cream. My favorite dish was definitely the eggplant tower. It was really thing and the breading was crispy. On top of that there was pesto. The salad was also refreshing and I liked the candied pecans. Perfect after beach meal. The pizzas were good as well. We ordered the pancetta and pasqual which was pretty much the same thing with bacon and sausage interchanged. I personally would've liked the tomato sauce to be a bit more tart to brighten up the flavors. For me it came a little concentrated, but this is all preference. Absolutely love Del Ponte's - it's a go-to for us every summer. They are perfect for lunch after a day at the beach or dinner, and they're great with groups. We had lunch here last weekend as a party of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) and brought our appetites: Caesar salad, broccoli and sausage calzone, Balsamic Pizza (white pizza with artichoke hearts, tomatoes and sautéed spinach), and the Soppressata pizza (tomato sauce, arugula and honey). I'm surprised I've never been here before having been to many Bradley restaurants. I will certainly go back. I tried a special that was very good. It was a bit unorthodox in that it was an arancini (rice balls) and eggplant parmesan combo. The arancini was deep fried and covered with marinara sauce. I enjoyed it very much. The place is very popular and was packed when I visited but the wait was not that bad. My party was seated quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful. The menu had tons of amazing options but we settled for the Balsamic Pizza. The pizza had fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, sauteed spinach and artichoke hearts drizzled with balsamic glaze.
