My wife and her two sisters wanted to enjoy a weekend in Ocean Grove where they shared a lot of family childhood memories and great experiences. We just arrived late this afternoon and wanted to order what we thought would be the best pizza in Ocean Grove based on the reviews we saw. It was the worst pizza we have ever had. It was tasteless and one of the pizzas actually had nothing on it in one area. For a 12" large pizza that cost $17 - $20, it was a poor excuse for a quality pizza. Eat at Tino's last night. The pizza was great but the service is questionable. We got the pizzas first, then our salad and then our sodas. The real concern was that the waitress seemed to be unsure why we upset about it. The Manager addressed our issues when he found out what was going on. I'm giving 3 stars because of the pizza, which was excellent and the service was great, but couple of things made me rethink this place if I will go back, but saw couple of employees kept petting customers dogs at the outdoor dining and than coming back inside handling other customers food, I'm someone who is highly allergic to dogs and cats and I know that because I had 2 dogs and I had give them away because I was constantly sick and the doctor had to test me, so I was very upset about them no washing their hands and the dog is being on the table where actually people eat, I feel as a business owners we should do better when dealing with customers, dogs don't belong on restaurant tables and employees need to learn to wash their hands if dealing with food read more

Cute little shop with a great variety of Italian menu items. I ordered the eggplant parm sandwich on focaccia bread with a side salad and prickly pear soda (on tap!). The soda was really lovely and refreshing. The eggplant was delightfully crispy and fresh. The salad was dressed in a yummy sweet onion dressing. My only comment would be that the bread was not the olive oily/herby focaccia I had imagined when I ordered it; it was more of a crispy pizza crusty texture and flavor. Delicious pizza and a sandwich just as fine. But we tried to call in an order and the young woman responding was borderline rude. This was a Sunday around 6 PM. The delivery person left part of our order on the floor outside the door and drove off. The salad? Tired, no dressing. The sandwich we ordered? Never delivered. My wife had to get a credit from Seamless and reorder. The moral of the story: have their delicious pizza but only in person. read more

This is the first time that we attended this Tino's site and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is not large, but the food is VERY GOOD. The decor is appealing and the service is exceptional. Ohhh, FYI.... Tino's is BYOB. We ordered the Margherita Pizza, Tortellone Pasta, and Chicken Parm platter. All were delicious and there were no leftovers. One thing that really impressed me was the pasta straws, for our drinks. I wish the entire planet would use these straws! Kudos to Tino's for incorporating these wonderful items. My Margherita pizza was light, fresh, and perfectly balanced -- thin crust with tomato, EVOO, mozzarella, and basil (not drowned in cheese like others). decided to come here when visiting ocean grove/asbury inside is nice, you can sit outside and eat too don't come here if it's busy because it was 6pm, there was an average amount of people here and the 4 kids working still took a while. about 7 people outside and like 5 inside including us. after getting our food our waitress never came back to ask if we need anything, if the foods good, nada the utensils had visible dirt/something on them when we opened the napkins, when my mom told the waitress, she didn't seem too phased. didn't say sorry or anything just took them and said "would you like new utensils" LOL now for the food: chicken bites were good but hella bland, "antibiotic" and all that. they're baked instead of fried, and they lowkey taste like antibiotic chicken bites you could get in bags from shoprite/walmart for cheaper, actually tasted like the chicken tenders i got at wawa yesterday. got the american pie, was pretty good and tasted fresh, but way too small. i asked for a coke they said the "italian cola" is the closest thing, it's just a worse coke with less soda amount and less ingredients. i thought it was cool they gave you the bottle and you can poor it in the glass or drink from the bottle. tasted fine but like it was flat. my mom got a black cherry soda it didn't taste like much, tasted more like a cherry seltzer. was okay tiramisu was pretty good and only 7 dollars overrated imo but good if ur vegan or a health nut i guess. not a fan of how defensive the owner is against bad reviews, just copying and pasting replies and deflecting instead of acknowledging criticisms. read more

This was my first time at Tino's Ocean Grove location. I'm familiar with the business, since I have happily frequented the one in Kingston. As I've become accustomed to, this location did not disappoint. From the service, food to location everything was great. We sat at an outdoor table along Main Street. Our server was very friendly. Once our order was taken, it did not take too long for our food to arrive. The restaurant was packed inside and out. My friend and I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and Chicken Parmigiana sandwiches. Both accompanied by a salad were terrific. Our only complaint was that there was not enough marinara sauce, but our waiter gladly brought us out some extra so all was good in the world. This was a cozy spot. Walking distance from the boardwalk and the ocean. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food that we got. We actually ordered way too much because on the menu it says the pizza feeds about 1 to 2 people. They were actually very wrong. The pizza can probably feed about two and a half people. We got three different type of pizza and have to say everything was quite delicious and fresh. We also ordered the eggplant parmesan sandwich as well as one of the salad, and it was both quite decent. The portion size were very generous. Service was extremely friendly and we felt very well taken care of. They do not have alcohol on the menu. Not sure if they are BYOB. Overall a great spot and would definitely recommend! read more

I believe ocean grove restaurants may have been overwhelmed due to the craft fair today. We ended up sitting down at a table outside, and waited 20 minutes but no one approached our table. We flagged down a server who gave us menus and water. We waited another 20 minutes, but our table had never been approached again to take our order. Another table that sat down 20 minutes after us was approached to take their order. We tried our best to flag down any server, but couldn't get anyone's attention. We are normally satisfied with the quality of the food and were so disappointed as the pizza that we had ordered was completely cold, despite being picked up on time. We live in town, and not far away, so it's usually pretty hot. Additionally, we ordered a Greek salad which is usually so delicious but there was definitely something wrong with the Greek salad dressing. The vinegar tasted off and was so bitter that when we added it to our salads it ruined the entire experience. What a waste to spend so much money on an ill-prepared meal. read more

It was my first time there, and I drilled them with a ton of questions, all answered to my satisfaction. I got the Gluten Free / Dairy Free 12 inch pizza. It isn't cheap, but I got 2 days out of it, so it's worth it. As for the taste; it was cooked to perfection. If you're a pizza lover, the sauce is going to disappoint you. Not a good enough reason to not get it though. As a Celiac, I've learned that it's not just all about taste. It's about experience. And going to a place like Tino's, where there's a clean, friendly atmosphere, makes me feel like a normal person who can enjoy dining out. Tino's in O Grove has been a favorite of ours for some time. The pizzas and sandwiches are great. My favorite salad at any restaurant that I have tried would be the Greco. We stopped her for the gluten free artisan pizza! We had gluten free with cremini mushrooms abs fresh basil .. we also had the margarita pizza with fresh mozzarella and fragola salad. The salad has fresh strawberries, shaved almonds, feta cheese and balsamic vinegar dressing. Everyone was super friendly and for two 12 inch pizza, 2 huge salads and gourmet salted caramel gelato was only 80.00! Definitely will be back! Pizza places are a dime a dozen in NJ but this is a solid one. I ordered a pizza with meatball topping. The crust is chewy and the toppings are just right. The sauce is also nicely seasoned and works well. I also tried the chicken bites with honey mustard side which were surprisingly simple and addicting. They also take a lot of care with their product which is obviously with the quality and the responses from the owner. That passion definitely leads to a solid place! The pizza is the star of the show here so I would stick with that. My go to usually is the marinara pie or margherita so I would try that next time. I also saw some cannoli's that looked good too. Food is not that great. After having tried a few of their menu items here's where things stand - their pizzettes are hit or miss ; the margarita / burrata pie is soggy. The breaded chicken added to salad is tough and not tasty. Their traditional bruschetta is terrible - a take out order had tomatoes and toast just thrown together in a box. The truffled agave goat cheese bruschetta is pretty good. I've eaten here twice now and that will be it for me. So much wasted potential / they are in a great location. Also, their outside seating is pretty bad and uncomfortable in the evening depending on your seat at a table when the sun is setting it's terrible on the eyes. And cramped. read more

So, we visited Tino's during COVID and ate outside. But is this a reason for mediocre food? The pizza was like $20 for a bar pie and was not worth $10. Look at the pics I took. There was handfuls of arugula just thrown on the pizza. It was terrible. The Margarita pizza was also bad. It seemed like cheese stick mozzarella. Nothing tasted fresh. The pictures on the website looked amazing. Compared to what we actually received, this restaurant was a huge bust no can't believe we spent almost $50 on two, small and poor quality pizzas. In response to owner comment: Thank you for your response. As you can see by the picture provided, I post more 5 star reviews than any other. I wish you and your business well, and I'm glad you have many patrons who love your pizza. However, I posted my honest review and I was not pleased.
