Gave it another try since this pizza spot is SO close by - and it was much better this time - both the pizza and service. We ordered four pies to pickup for a party: - Upside Down square (red pie they're known for) - Johnny Pepe square (menu says this has red sauce but their Instagram doesn't mention it - it's a delicious Foccicia white pizza) - Susan Grippo (round, sliced tomatoes and garlic) - Pepperoni The round pies have sesame seed crust which was delicious. The square pie crust was muccch better this time too; a good crunch but not so stiff. At pickup, pizza was ready on time and the staff was friendly and kindly provided plates and red peppers flakes that we asked for.

I've always wanted to try this pizza spot for a bit, and it definitely lived up to what I needed for the toppings I was craving. I would highly recommend ordering for a group of people if you need an easy meal. Service and pick up was so easy

This is our go-to pizza in Monmouth County! We've tried dozens in Bradley, Asbury, Long Branch, Eatontown, Belmar, Seabright, Middletown, Highlands, etc and this one wins hands down for their Upside Down slice. Light, tender crust, generous sauce with a tiny kick, and gooey cheese. Great price, fast and friendly service, you gotta try it!

We recently stopped in for the first time to get some slices to go and were very happy! Everything we got was super tasty and the staff was friendly and polite. Definitely recommend Rocco's - it's a great local spot for slices with plenty of vegetarian options. Will go back and try other dishes next times!

My friends and I stopped here after a morning at the beach in the summer, and wow. It was delicious. We got there right when they opened so it was very fresh and hot. I got one plain pie and one Buffalo chicken and it was amazing! The staff were kind and helpful and the service was quick. Definitely recommend!

Really, what's the purpose of cheese like this?

Possibly the worst Pizza on the Jersey Shore! Ordered a grandma pie, it was Dry, hard as a rock and had the weirdest Cheese/Sauce Ratio I've ever seen! I should have made my first order slices not a pie for dinner! Luckily it was the night garbage went out and I threw out almost the whole pie. Needless to say, there is no need to try again, with all the pizzerias in the area that do things right!

    Medium Upsidedown Pizza

The most delicious upside down pizza in Bradley Beach. Skip paying the bridge fare to get to L&B Spumoni Gardens. This place has it so close to theirs! The dough is superb it's such an even mix of deliciousness and a light soft crunch. The only suggestion I'd make is to add basil and drizzle some olive oil on it. The eggplant parmigiana sub was so nostalgic to me. My nanny passed away back in 2017, and Rocco's eggplant made me think back to when my nanny used to make it. We used to joke around saying hers and my moms were different because Nanny added more love to it. It's always the secret ingredient. I love the fact the place is named after their dog and they are super dog friendly. Rocco's pizza is the perfect mix of the old school Italian family in Brooklyn right in Bradley Beach!

Their food is now officially the best in town. Their pizza is great and sandwiches are better than any deli. I highly recommend Roccos.

We came, we saw, and my husband conquered :) A few things to note about Pete & Elda's..they don't take reservations. This is an incredibly popular spot, especially in the summer months, so if this is on your Jersey summer list..block out some time for this experience. They do offer to-go if time isn't of the essence, but I do feel like if you have the opportunity to have the full experience, take it. We've never done a food challenge before, but essentially the challenge is for (1) person, 30minute time frame, conquer a full pie, receive a t-shirt and of course, bragging rights. As we were seated, we noticed several other tables had at least one or more people taking the challenge, which was super fun to see and root on. Also in the parking lot there were people taking pictures with the iconic Pete & Elda's sign with their t-shirt and friends. The pizza is like a cracker-thin crust, super yummy and shareable for large groups. We had the cheese, and others at the table ordered sausage/onions, and pepperoni. We also ordered breaded mushrooms (an NJ shore classic) and zucchini sticks for the table, a Caesar salad, and macaroni and cheese for the kiddo. FYI, the macaroni and cheese was pretty fire! I've been eating a lot of kiddo meal leftovers on this trip, and this was a standout. I love the bar atmosphere of this place too, and learned you can actually also order "bar pies" at the (bar only). Great beer selection! There are other food classics on the menu as well if pizza isn't your thing like chicken parm, stuffed shells, veal, seafood, chowder soup(s), burgers, cheesesteaks, and more. All in all, my husband got the t-shirt, finished the challenge in 19 minutes, took the picture, and we all have fun memories of this day. This seems like a spot that holds a lot of memories for families coming to the Shore, and spending summers eating pie and enjoying tradition and celebration. Can't wait to do the same next summer :)

It's truly one of the "last of the Mohicans"--a classic, old-school Italian joint that you just don't see much anymore. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon in June. The taproom felt spacious with natural light, and was well decorated with off-white walls and interesting plant decor.
