I moved to SLO a few years ago, and I still drive to Bakersfield to get care here. This office is always professional and friendly. Horrible experience to say the least. I took my time looking for a place to get an ear lavage and I thought I had done my research. Based on the previous reviews, this clinic seemed like a good choice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The scheduling process on the phone was easy, they were very clear on my cost without insurance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once I showed up, the girls in the front were ok, just did their job on checking me in and that's it nothing special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The girl that took my scan in the back was super nice and very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But at the time of my ear lavage I got Julia, not sure if she is a doctor or PA but right away seemed like she was in a rush. She tried cleaning out my ears with a tool and kept complaining that I was moving, which I was not but just letting her know when she was going in too deep. She then got frustrated and said she had to use the machine. I am pretty sure she put it on the highest setting. As soon as she flushed it in my ear,it was so much pressure I felt like it went right through my brain and I was in so much pain.! I told her I was in pain and instead of stopping she did it again with the same pressure. The pain got so intense and I told her my eardrum must have ruptured. She said that it was like that already, she looked at the scan they had done and didn't find any ruptures. But my eardrum was ruptured now! Instead of apologizing, she just said "oh it'll heal on its own, if not you'll have to get surgery." I was shocked on how insensitive she was towards the damage she caused. To top it off, she left water in my ruptured ear and I was in extreme pain for two days. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That same afternoon, I called the office to let them know the pain was not going away and what I should do. The front office just passed the phone to Julia and she said "what's going on now?, just take Tylenol."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This was the most horrific experience and most unprofessional "doctor" I had ever been to. After visiting this office twice, I can say that they are top notch. When you call on the phone to make an appointment they are so nice and so helpful. I saw the nurse practitioner Chris, he is wonderful. He explains everything so you can understand it. I felt completely comfortable on my two visits. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Honestly, worst experience I've had with a company.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went in because I was having congestion during allergy season and I wanted to be allergy tested so I knew what I was allergic to in my yard. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I get to Del Rey and the first thing they do is a CT. I wasn't told why I was getting imaging done, I was just brought in and sat down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I presented that I wanted allergy testing done, I was then given a scope of my nose, again it was made to seem like normal practice. I was told I couldn't get an allergy test that day and I would need to come back. I was slapped over a $500 bill for that unnecessary CT scan and scope of my nose. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I never got my allergy test done because when I went in for my appointment they somehow didn't have it scheduled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I gave up with this company, all they wanted was to advertise getting surgery done on my nose because of an allergy flare up. Before an upcoming hearing test, I thought I should get my ears examined to see if there might be anything IN my ears that could be affecting my hearing. A quick Yelp search for ENT doctors and Del Rey was the place I chose. They use the online service ZocDoc to make the appointment which was easy. *Keep in mind that more than likely you will be seen by a nurse practitioner. Check in was simple. The office staff is friendly. The office is immaculate. Mr. Christopher Alix was who I saw. He had a humorous attitude and got straight to the point. He walked me through the exam processes which helped with the strange feeling of having my ears cleaned out. My ears did have some wax buildup and a few stray hairs. Gross. My inner ears did feel some relief afterwards so I'm glad I came to Del Rey before my hearing test. read more

I presented with hearing loss in 1 ear & severe vertigo. After several multiple expensive tests they said they could do a procedure on sinuses. When asked about a tube in my ear they said I would have to go to LA as it couldn't be done on Bakersfield. They never followed through with the sinus procedure. I called to see if they'd gotten authorization but they hadn't even sent it in. A year later , haven't heard from them. The Dr that referred me said every patient he had sent there said the same thing. He no longer sends patients there. Never once saw the Dr, only PAs. This office doesn't care read more

Sorry this is gonna be a long one but if you need advice about ENT's read on.... Dr. Sigari is the best ENT ever! Let me tell you, I have had my fair share of experience when it comes to sinus and allergy issues. And i recommend Dr. Sigari to everyone I know that deals with these issues too. I have dealt with sinus congestion and post-nasal all my adult life. Having semi or complete blockage of my nasal passages, not being able to breathe out of my nose and constantly having to carry a tissue in my pocket. I have been to many doctors and I have had other more invasive surgery to try and curse this aliment but it was only temporary. And then i got pregnant last year and it got even worse and i was unable to take my Claritin D due to nursing my baby. Anyways, then I found Dr. Sigari! He is so knowledgeable and helpful! When other doctors just sent me home with nasal spray and allergy meds and told me don't worry about it, he actually listened and wanted to do everything he could to help me breathe!! If you have experienced nasal blockage, you would understand!! Not only is he so helpful, he is doing State-of-the-art medical advances that literally no one else is. And he does his procedures in his office, so for one thing you don't have to go somewhere else for CT scans and he does them with local anesthetic so that you are awake during. This can be a little unnerving if you aren't prepared, but trust me, it's better in the long run. Less recovery time and you're awake so you are able to be aware what is taking place! He makes sure you are comfortable the whole time and explains everything he is going to do throughly. And the recovery time is way less, I went to a birthday party the day of my surgery, (nasal balloon surgery) and went to work the night of My sinus cryotherapy surgery! And now i can breathe!! It has been 5 months since my balloon surgery and 2 months since my cryotherapy and it just keeps getting better!! I can smell for the first time in years!! I feel amazing!! I have suffered from horrible sinus headaches daily for about 20 years. I tried an ENT specialist who told me to snort a quart of saline solution up nose every day. . I ran across an add for Del Rey MD on Facebook. I thought I would give them a try. I called and got my initial appointment rather quickly. During my first appointment I had an MRI done, on the premises! The PA Chris went over the images with me right away. You could see that my nasal passages were very small, I had a deviated septum and a bone spur. Once approval from my insurance was obtained I was scheduled for the procedure, to fix my septum, remove the bone spilt and inflate balloons in my sinus passages to open them up, the following week. They do this in the office. They are careful to be sure you are comfortable and pain free. After the procedure, I had absolutely no pain!! These awesome people have completely changed my life! I will be forever grateful to them. I have not had 1 headache and I can breath through my nose! Without the chronic pain of sinus headaches I literally feel 10-15 years younger. This facility is very up to date on their use to technology and I'm so happy to see that they do all the their scans in-house. During my first visit they made me feel like they genuinely wanted to help me with my sinus issues. After my procedure, I've come to the conclusion that they really do care about the patients. The staff informed me what they were going to perform and the doctor came in cool and collective reassuring my nervousness by letting me know everything is going to be okay. Very nice PA and front staff! I've never seen the actual doctor, but his PA Alex is very kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Del Rey is primarily located in LA so at the Bakersfield location you will only see the PA Alex. I did not know this until I began taking my daughter for some sinus issues. Would give five stars if we were also able to see and meet the actual doctor. I see how his name being titled on his practice could be a bit misleading, but I would still recommend. read more

I am SO blessed to have Dr. Sigari and his staff in my life!! I have suffered from allergies and sinusitis my entire life and he has helped all of my issues! I recently had surgery to fix my deviated septum, along with the balloon sinus dilation procedure. It has only been two weeks and I can already breathe better than ever! I just had my check up and he had to clean one of my nostrils out, and when I felt a little light headed from being anxious, he offered for me to lay down and let me sit for a minute. It's difficult to find a doctor who not only is so knowledable in his area, but also so polite and caring, and Dr. Sigari is all of the above. I came to him originally because I had been to multiple doctors for these odd vertigo spells I started having a year ago, but no one could find the cause. Dr. Sigari did at CT scan at my first visit and discovered that I had a massive sinus infection and a deviated septum that was so bad, it was not allowing anything to drain. He told me about the surgery and the rest is history. I am so happy I had it done! He was the only doctor to find the cure to my frustrating problem! I had convinced myself that something was wrong with my brain since no one could find an answer, then he took all of my worries away and fixed the problem. I've told everyone I know that he is the best ENT to go to! I love how kind, gentle and caring he is. He takes time to really listen and talk to you to discuss your options and how you feel. When the fires were raging in August, I started having massive nose bleeds. I was terrified as I had never had this happen before. I had a particularly bad one end of October and was frantically seeking a ENT to assist me. As I sought assistance all the providers going down the list were booked out until I called Del Rey and they scheduled me for that week. Here it is Dec 15th and I have been seen, had a CAT Scan, was diagnosed, and last Friday had the procedures to correct my issue. I am not going to say I feel 100% as I am in some pain, but the overall experience was comforting. They do all procedures in office and were very nice and empathic dealing with my fears. I recently visited Dr. Del Rey's office for a nagging earache that had been plaguing me for years. I called their office and they got me in immediately. When I went to their office, I only had to wait for five minutes. The office staff was extremely friendly and professional. Instead of having to trudge through the traditional paperwork, the nurse kindly asked me questions in the office and inputted all of the information on her iPad, which was refreshing. The nurse practitioner, Christina, came in right afterward. She was friendly, energetic, knowledgable, and experienced. She looked in my ear and saw that I had severe wax build-up and took care of it right away, which two previous doctors were unable to diagnose and treat. She carefully took out the obstruction and alleviated my pain. In addition, she did a hearing test on me and set me up for follow-up care so that I wouldn't have the same problem in the future. I wish I had gone to Dr. Del Rey's office a long time ago. They have an amazing operation with a caring and fabulous staff. I can't recommend them enough. read more

I can not over state this, Dr. Sigari and his staff at Del Rey have complexly changed my day to day health. I had been a long time as in as long as I can remember sinus sufferer. I averaged a sinus infection every 30-60 days and would have multiple bouts of strep throat a year. Not to mention constant sinus drainage, sinusitis and allergies. I was desperate at 37 years old and issues seemingly getting worse I searched for a local ENT, I cold called this office with out doing any research and I think I struck gold. The office is brand new, clean and organized with a fantastic office staff. Dr. Sigari gave me a long and detailed consultation complete with CT scan that uncovered a litany of issues I had. The Dr. spends a ton of time explaining what each issue is, how it effects me, what the fix is and how he can make it near painless. He spends as much time as you need to answer each question and makes sure you are comfortable. After my procedure my recovery time was about 24 hours. This is after fixing a deviated septum, removing bones and cartilage and opening up sinuses with inflating balloons. I felt none of it and was awake the whole time. Think about it, removed bones and felt none of it. Went home had minor bleeding and felt normal after 24 hours with no bruising or pain. Seems like magic to me. So super long review short. I've never written a review this long but I believe in what he did and his office. I'm grateful and appreciative. I can breath better than I can ever remember, no longer have a runny nose and have gone well past my 30-60 days of no infection. I am proof the Dr. knows what he's doing. Thank you! read more

Living in Bakersfield one knows how bad our air quality is and air quality can contribute to sinus issues well I have had sinus issues for a while I've been trying to get to find a ear nose and throat specialist has been very difficult until I have discovered Del Rey Sinus and Allergy ,Dr.Sigari and staff. I called a few allergy clinics yesterday afternoon to make an appointment for my husband. The first two clinics had appointments about a month out, and the third call was to Del Rey Sinus & Allergy Institute in Bakersfield. We lucked out, they had a cancellation for an appointment the next day (today). Husband arrives to a building clearly labeled SINUS, ALLERGY, and SNORING. Before he is seen, he's given a form to sign that states he'll pay $250 for a CT Scan & another $300 for an allergy test in the event that his insurance doesn't cover it. He declined to sign, asking them to verify with his insurance first. The doctor gave him a once-over and immediately suggested a surgery/procedure to numb a nerve in his sinuses. Doc states that he is NOT an allergy doctor before spraying something up my husbands nose, and telling the patient he was breathing better (husband indicates no change). Husband mentioned clogged ears, and Doc indicates another nerve issue. Doc then removed some wax from an ear, no change. The only upside was that they got him in quick, and now we know better than to return. read more

Dr. Sigari is by far the best doctor I've ever had. His staff is awesome and very professional. I recently went in for sinus dilation and the procedure couldn't have gone more smoothly. Dr. Sigari made sure I was comfortable, answered all my questions and conscerns and took really good care of me. I have nothing but nice things to say about this place . Good ENTs are hard to find in Bakersfield but I can assure you Dr. Sigari is the best not only in Bakersfield but probably in the world. And I'm not exaggerating. After years of snoring, feeling congested all the time (particularly on one side of my nose), using nasal sprays, experiencing sinus infections & headaches, and thinking it was all just allergies, I finally found Dr. Sigari. He instantly diagnosed me with a severely deviated septum and narrow upper sinus passages. After a 1-hour in office procedure to correct the issues, a week later I could actually breathe well out of both sides of my nose. It has eliminated my snoring completely. I have had problems with being stuffy all the time and a constant runny nose along with my allergies for years. I looked online and found Dr. Sigari and glad I did. Turns out I had chronic rhinitis. He was patient and did a great job clearly explaining to me all my treatment options. I have a PPO for my insurance and he was in-network with my provider. I ended up having a cryotherapy procedure for the rhinitis that was done in the office by Dr. Sigari and I was back to my normal activity that day! A few weeks out and it has been life changing. No more runny nose, I breathe better, sleep better, and not stuffy. It has been amazing.
