It has a piece of rubbery bacon wrapped around it and was like a piece of minced meat. It's like what wet dog food looks and feels like when you take it out of the can - just like a literal loaf, but in the worst way. West Plains Brewing is one of these and am glad that I became aware of it. The lady that was at the counter was super nice and very congenial to visit with so that was very nice. I was having a difficult time trying to decide out of their beer options as to what to have so I went with a taster set and that was a good choice to have made. I tried four different beers from that taster set and I liked them all very much! One of the beers was the Cerveza Fria which was the brewery's Mexican Lager. It was pleasant and refreshing with a slight biscuity flavor and a crispness to it that is perfect to refresh yourself with on warm days. Another beer I had was the Allegiance which was an Amber beer. It was biscuity also and went down easy where it would be very easy to get more of this beer in one sitting. The third beer I had was the Muddy Boots. I liked the maltiness in this beer. While the beer is rich to drink it also comes across as light bodied which gives it an overall nice balance. The fourth and final beer I had was an Oatmeal Stout by the name of Broken Paddle. I do like Oatmeal Stouts and this one was no exception. The flavors you can enjoy in this one are chocolate, coffee and roasty in the beer. The beer is smooth but also comes across as light bodied which you occasionally see in some stouts. A very nice visit to this brewery and worthy of returns whenever I am back in the area.
