I was in town for a conference at the convention center, and looking for a place to have a nightcap before turning in. This place totally hit the spot. I'll caveat that I did not have the food, I was literally here for a good margarita and that's what I got. I paid four dollars extra for the craft margarita so that I wasn't getting stuff that I've been made earlier in the day and it was delicious. The bartender and bar back working were incredible - welcoming, attentive and fun. If I lived in the area, this would be a frequent and I'm pleased that I chose my one night in Spokane to spend the evening here. read more

It took a while for us to be seated and our food to come out - however, our food did arrive pretty fast. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were okay. The shrimp was really good and crunchy but the tortillas were cold. I ended up eating it as a salad. The rice and beans were not my favorite either. The rice was very bland and beans were over seasoned with cumin or some strong seasoning. The chips and dips were good. I enjoyed the queso the most. read more

This was such a great find on our walking adventures in downtown Spokane! A really cool vibe inside with cool decorations and details! We started with the chips & dip sampler, perfect for sharing! Then we had the Pozole and Barbacoa street taco. Probably the best pozole I've ever had! And the street tacos are delicious and flavorful too! We tried a few different craft margaritas, all were excellent! They have fresh squeezed juices and a huge selection of house infused tequilas! Our waiter was Zach who was excellent! Seems like they are having consistency issues. My 2 chicken tacos look very different from the vibrant and fully loaded chicken tacos other people have ordered when they are dining in. Came to this place late afternoon on a Sunday and there wasn't too many people, pretty sparse. It took some time for someone to greet us and when we got seated it took a while for someone to come with menus. After about 10 min someone came to the table and tried to get our order but no one really told us that the qr code was on one side of a table hanger but once we were told we were able to access the menu. The waitress seemed a bit tired and not very engaging or welcoming but I'll just assume she was having a rough day. The food came timely and was pretty delicious! The rice was a bit bland but the beans were good and the avocado tacos were yummy and so was the salsa for the table. The chips are pretty light and crumbly, next time I will be sure to get the chips and salsa appetizer and a margarita. My stomach was hurting this time but definitely next time! The bathrooms were pretty clean but coming out of the bathroom smells a little near the end of the bar area. They also have some large garage doors that look like they will open up in the Summer for some inside/outside action and i'm so here for that! read more

First time being here with my whole family. at first in adds and on instagram vibe looks cool and food looked great, but was taken by surprise. we ordered burritos and tacos got our food and it did not look to appetizing for one. second no chips or salsa while we waited. got our tacos and burritos and you have to pay for salsa it's not free! we got a sad tacos and it didn't taste like asada. rice and beans are bland with no flavor. everything is bland period. I told the blond guy waiter about the flavor and his excuse was that they have a white people clientel. just overall very disappointed and my bill wasn't cheap $70 bucks for shitty food i'm not one to talk shit but this is joke don't know how this open selling flavorless food to borrachos aka drunks. GOOD TACOS. As a disclaimer, this review is based off of ordering food from here through Uber Eats. While this might make my review quite limiting, I don't know why this place has so many bad comments about their food. Their tacos are delicious! I was staying at a nearby hotel and had a taste for some good tacos. As you probably know, getting tacos anywhere is either a hit or a miss. I ordered 2 of their pollo house tacos and 2 carne asada specialty tacos. While carne asada tacos are usually better at most places over their chicken ones, this place was definitey an exception. Their pollo house tacos were DELICIOUS. Perfectly seasoned and not too dry. Their asada tacos were good too but if I would have know how good their chicken tacos were, I would have just ordered 4 chicken ones rather than 2 and 2. I also ordered a large salsa verde for the tacos which was definitely too much for me--a small would have definitely been plenty--and it added a little extra flavor to the tacos (definitely recommend it!). Overall, I definitely recommend this place for tacos! read more

Location is a cute little strip of shops and restaurants but if you wander away from that, it's a little sketchy. Really nice outdoor and indoor seating. I heard it is lively on the weekend. The Spanish rice tasted weird. Beans were good. Carne asada was super tasty. It was expensive for what I got. I got a lemon tres leches and it tasted like it was still partial frozen and the strawberry sauce on it was very fake. Staff was very nice and seemed on top of things. One of the first things I noticed when I pulled up the menu here was the number of items unavailable. Not sure what's going on, but I counted 8 unavailable items on a not too busy Wednesday night. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The venue had a good vibe with indoor seating as well as a quite large outdoor patio. Lots of TVs inside the bar area. We sat inside and my only complaint was that we were bothered by a hoard of pesky flies throughout our dining experience, which may or may not reflect the cleanliness of the establishment. I ended up searching their public health inspection records... and well... let's just say this place isn't the cleanest. But anyways, moving on to the actual food! I ordered the birria tacos: The GOOD - consommé was flavorful and the meat was nicely seasoned and moist. The BAD - inside the taco is just meat and cheese. I was hoping for at least some simple standard side toppings like lime, onion, and/or cilantro for a pricey $6/taco (for reference I have a go to birria place in Seattle, but a birria taco there costs only $3/taco). Another con was the hard undercooked side of rice consistent with some other reviews here. The UGLY - both corn tortillas were heavily burnt on one side of the taco and soggy on the other...luckily dipping it in consommé was able to help mask some of that burnt flavoring, but it shouldn't have to in the first place. In conclusion my overall rating is 2/5. Minus one star for the value (although happy hour or taco Tuesday deals look to be fair value), minus one star for the serving of burnt food and undercooked rice, and minus one star for cleanliness and number of menu unavailabilities. read more

I was told to check out this place by a bartender at another bar since it would be poppin', and it really was! When I walked in it felt like I was going into a sports bar as it had tons of TVs and tons of tables. As I stayed a little longer it also felt like a club because of all the people struggling to walk in a straight line and all the dancing (there was a ton of that next to the tables). There's a lot of outdoor tables that had a lot of large groups. Because this is a college town this is definitely a young person's hangout spot. I ordered a couple of well drinks which were $6 which is a good price. I had already eaten dinner so I wasn't hungry but based on all the pictures here the food looks really good. I was surprised by the good service given the location. One of the workers asked if I wanted water and then later the same worker asked if I wanted something to drink. This is all on a busy Saturday night when I'm just a dude sitting at a table when she could be getting more money serving a large group. Also, when the water jug was empty one of the other workers was prompt in refilling it. I think we can all appreciate a little water when we're a little perched and dehydrated. The music was good and I loved the energy of the place. If I had a group of people I'd come here to get some cheap drinks and have a good time. read more

If you are thinking of using this restaurant for a special event, I would think again! My daughter is getting married so she made an appointment to come in and see what they had to offer. My daughter, my future son-in-law, my wife and I went down to the restaurant at the appointed time expecting to see what they had to offer and then also have dinner. When we arrived the GM met us and it was obvious that she was not happy she was the one that was going to wait on us. She sat us at a table and we were brought four waters. She then showed up with two menus and asked what proteins are you thinking for your tacos. My daughter listed four different proteins that she was thinking about for the wedding. She left and returned shortly after with two plates each with one 4" taco on it with a small amount of a different protein, nothing like the pictures we saw online. My daughter spoke up as she was leaving the table and said she would like to order a Margarita. No question as to what kind or size or acknowledgement. She returned after a short time with two more plates each with one 4" taco on them with two more different proteins and a Margarita for my daughter. The rest of us were never asked if we would like something to drink. We each took one bite of each taco and then sat there waiting for her to come back as she moved around the restaurant. It really seemed as though she was purposefully ignoring us. We were never asked what we thought of the tacos or if there was anything else we would like or if we had any questions, nothing! My daughter finally flagged her down after sitting there not eating for quite some time and asked to pay for her drink to which she came back to the table with the bill and turned around and left, again not saying a word to us. We got up and left and went to another restaurant for dinner. It is too bad because we were seriously looking to use them for her wedding! read more

I felt bad and was understanding that he was the only one doing multiple job but his attitude sucked . When we finally got to order , I ordered birra tacos it was a main advertise meal . Disappointed when the consomme was a thick sauce and tasted like a sweet mexican mole sauce . And the rice was cold my friend's meal had cold rice and beans . The guy also walked away before my friend could finish ordering . When we got done we waited an additional 20 before we walked up to the bar and paid . The guy was annoyed whenever we would ask for thing. I honestly do feel bad for the guy having to wait on so many people , but his attitude just really sucked when we were nothing but kind . After a long day at work, Borracho looked like a great place to unwind. We got to pick our own table and the server was there super fast to check on us. We went light and just ordered appetizers. The chicharrones were fried beautifully. When they are hot they are easy to bite through. The hot sauce on top was a great addition. It coated every other bite so you were playing heat roulette! The queso dip was the other end of the texture spectrum. It was a gooey flowing bowl of magic. The cheese blend was fantastic and I'm so glad we tried it. Those two apps were plenty filling. The interior of Borrachos is fun and lively, but around 9/9:30pm the music got cranked up and the lights went crazy, as if they were trying to get people to the dance floor, but the group inside was definitely more interested in sitting and sharing conversations at the tables. So if you want to save your eardrums, go early. Great service and great food! read more

Great taco Tuesday! The tacos are delicious and a must try! My favorite was the taco El pastor that had the pineapples on it! It definitely has a little kick to it but delicious! The chicken was the second best, third was the avocado taco and asada was last. I wish I could offer a negative rating. I have NEVER been treated so poorly at restaurant/bar. When my group of 9 walked in, it was immediately clear they did not want us there. The bartender scowled and was unwelcoming right away. They struggled to find seats for our group in an empty establishment, placing us along one side of a long table that clearly would not fit our group. We finally moved to a dark end of the bar and tried to order. First, they said most of the menu was unavailable. (Other tables had entrees.) Then, they could not make frozen drinks. We switched to non-frozen. Last, they came back to tell us they didn't have the glassware needed for us. It took four excuses, but we finally got the hit. Unfortunately, they lost a table of 9 ready to eat, drink, and tip 25% on one bill. We went to another establishment that took amazing care of us and assured us it was a good thing that we left the meat market. Avoid at all costs! Thoughts to the sweet young server that wanted to take care of us. We hope you find gainful employment elsewhere soon! read more

Good is excellent. Stopped by on Tuesday and House (street) tacos are $3. I tried the veggie: veggie sofrito with a spicy-sweet sauce. Also had the Cauliflower: breaded pieces of cauliflower and veggies in a light spicy cheese sauce. Hubby had Al Pastor tacos that disappeared, they were so delicious. I really wanted to like this place. I dropped by at 8:00pm to order nachos to go. The bartender who helped me was very nice, but it took forever. It took 30 minutes to get my nachos because apparently they had already started breaking down the kitchen to close. By the time the nachos came I was over it and just wanted to be back at my hotel. I will say the nachos were pretty good. Very spicy with a ton of jalapeños. Next time I would ask for a third of the amount lol. Overall I think it's just another restaurant trying to get their groove back since all of this Covid stuff has put a damper on life and business. reading the yelp review prior to going in had me worried. after our experience I remembered sometimes yelp is misused by infintile individuals to right perceived wrongs and exact revenge. Started of withe the chip and dip trio. I will say since moving here 10 years ago this was some of the best salsa and guacamole we have had. the queso wa ok. you do have to order chips and salsa whereas some mexican places provide it complimentary. But this salsa is great so i don't mind paying for it. next we tried their street tacos. $4 a piece they were good sized with lots of toppings. we got a carne asada, fish and fried avaocado. fish was by far the winner. the asada was ok but nothing special and the avocado was strange but tasty. we finished with the birria tacos. thanks to tik tok these are all the rage right now. i haven't had them before so i can't compare them to anything. but they were really good. the consommé had great flavor and they were good sized. I've been going here while in town for work for the past 5 years or so. Seems like the last couple years it's slipped some. This time half the TV's weren't working, they decided to have a staff meeting at a table in the middle of the bar area for over an hour (distracting & seemed strange) and the food took a long time to arrive. We asked for our bill because we're here for a conference and needed to get back. They brought the bill (which was incorrect) and we waited another 30 minutes. Our food finally came 1 1/2 hours later, after many tables had come and gone, and my fish tacos were COLD. There was hardly any fish in the tacos. The rice was crunchy (very undercooked). Place was nice. But the carne asada was dry. Tortillas weren't even warm and soft like they're supposed to be. The "chorizo" was just sausage cut up nice and small.
