I just moved to SD from LA and was looking for a dentist and stumbled upon this place. Let me say, this office was very friendly and Dr. Elizabeth was wonderful! She was very gentle yet thorough and answered all my questions. She also spent considerable time with me and seemed to care about her work. She definitely didn't seemed rushed or stressed like other dentists I've gone to in the past. The dentist is fine and doesn't overcharge or recommend unnecessary procedures like I have had happen in the past. There is one hygienist that is average and the rest are great. I took away a few stars because their accessibility is really difficult for me. I'm a working mom with lots of kids and I had to reschedule and my best option was 6 weeks out. I just can't work with that lack of flexibility which is sad as I would have stayed for life with them if it was easier to get an apt. Now I think I'll drive back to my dentist in La Jolla who has better accessibility but is farther away. read more

Working with this dentist has been a nightmare. I liked Dr. Ramezani and her dental assistants and hygienists, but working with the admin was horrible. She charged me a deductible for a cleaning that she wasn't supposed to, kept billing my insurance incorrectly, and kept blaming her mistakes on my insurance, which I didn't find out until I called them. It took me hours to sort out their mess, and in the end I still didn't get the fillings I needed done there because they weren't billing my insurance correctly. The Patient Coordinator called me blaming my health insurance for her mistake, even though she made mistakes every single step of the way when billing me. I eventually asked to have my medical records sent to me, and after more than a month went by of no contact from them besides a check in the mail for the $50 they owed me, I had to contact them again to get my medical records sent to me, even though California state law says they must get them to me within 15 days and HIPAA says they only have 30 days. Overall, I have had to waste hours and hours dealing with the fallout from using this dentist, and I still have to get my fillings done by somebody else. Magically, my new dentist was able to bill my procedures correctly. I definitely recommend going elsewhere with your business if you don't want to pay out of pocket for procedures that your insurance fully covers. read more

My daughter's front tooth broke off in a sporting accident, and unfortunately she needed to get a root canal (performed by an endodontist) and a crown (completed by Dr. Ramazani). Dr. Ramazani did an amazing job. The crown is a great match to my daughter's other front tooth... and it required real artistry to match the translucency, whiteness, and subtle striations. We did a round of tooth bleaching before making final decisions on the crown. The crown looks very natural and is not noticeable at all. Dr. Ramazani is also simply a great dentist for routine care. This is my family dentist since I move in this neighborhood from advanced dentistry to Del Sur Dentistry. Hygienist Dana is so gentle even my sons have no complaints, I was so glad Dana didn't get that side kick from one of my boys, because My son's first dentist got the kicking and the dentist just gave up. Very clean and friendly. And yes you can watch tv on the ceiling while they do the work. And watch on that 2nd tv while sitting at the dental chair and waiting for dr. Ramezani's thorough check up. They will remind you of your appointment months and weeks and will follow up on any changes if there is any. They are very good in time management. Be there 10 - 5 mins early to your apointment, either you get called right away or no later than your apointment time. that's the reason why they don't have a TV on their waiting area. read more

I am not a fan of dentists - at all, bad childhood memories and all that sort of stuff. But I have found a dentist that I don't mind going to - which for me is as good as it gets. Nancy at the front desk is always so friendly and so incredibly efficient. And Dr. Ramazani is just so kind and makes you feel so comfortable - she doesn't preach at you, she is honest about what you need to do and what you don't need to do or what can wait. I take my children there as well - and the team are so very patient with them, especially with my cavity prone child with the low threshold for pain. Having recently had a very poor experience with another dentist, over charging me for shoddy work that I didn't really need; I found Dr, R's office to be excellent in so many ways. She is professional, caring, takes the time to answer my questions, and respectful of my time and money. (She doesn't keep me waiting or overcharge!) I first came to Dr. R for Invisalign and once I experienced her and the staff, I wanted to change her to be my primary dentist.
