While it's been six months since my last review, not much has changed. Friendly, hard working staff still friendly and hard working. Food is still consistent. When the fries are piping hot, they can't be beat by any other fast food location. Speaking of consistency, the owner needs to step it up and fix the door! It's now been over a year. If you can't use a door as intended, you don't meet fire code. Also this id the only Del Taco I know of that does not offer hot coffee... even for breakfast. I ordered through the drive thru. Morning shift/afternoon shift. The cashier at the window was so nice. He was an older gentleman. Very attentive and had a smile on his face. The fish tacos are really good. And the shrimp tacos are very good as well. The shrimp are jumbo and actual shrimp and not overly breaded. The same goes for the fish. I do wish they had other sauces available besides the chipotle and ranch. read more

I went through the drive-thru today and the line move up pretty fast. I ordered just one Asada Street Taco. The service was quick and friendly. ASADA STREET TACO : I'm not sure what they marinate these meat with but it's yellow. The seasoning reminds me of a slight curry taste. Which is a bit odd. I wouldn't recommend this taco to anyone. It's not that great. The meat was also very salty and tough. RATE : 2/5 OVERALL : I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are craving for authentic mexican food. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. On Friday we received an incorrect order and were not given a receipt. We returned Saturday via the drive through to resolve the issue and explained we had called the phone number listed on Yelp on Friday only to discover the number on Yelp was disconnected; the manager accused us of lying and insisted otherwise. When we asked for his name he refused to provide it, and when we requested the corporate phone number he told us to leave and didn't give us the number. We then went inside and stood behind the register where you place an order and tried to look for any posted corporate contact information. At that point, a staff member came out shouting at us and insisted we were trespassing. The employee called the Clovis Police, who arrived and were courteous and helpful. An officer looked up the corporate number and provided it to us, and advised us not to return to the restaurant because the manager could have us arrested if we did. I have filed a formal complaint with corporate regarding the manager's behavior and the poor customer service. A minor issue with an incorrect order escalated unnecessarily due to staff rudeness and lack of customer service. read more

Okay Friday night after work all day, then appointments and some shopping at Nordstrom Rack I went and got 2 tacos for dinner here. It was perfect for what I needed. The girl at the drive though was good, and easy to work with. I got a cold drink 2 tacos and a fry. I took it home and aye it and it was exactly as I expected. The dude and I came to Del Taco for a quick lunch on 9/23/21 as since I had only an hour lunch break it needed to be something QUICK. I have only came to this location about one time. I am usually a Del Taco fan and enjoyed their Turkey tacos which was so tasty for me but they discontinued it to add the Impossible Meat so I stopped going. I would use to customize my Nachos to add the Turkey meat so delicious and one of my favorites. But anyways, the dude has been seeing so many commercials about the new Quesadilla Tacos in Asada, Grilled and Crunchy Chicken and wanted to try it. He is so easily swayed by food commercials but it is fun to give the new products a try and rate them! We arrived about 12:15pm and it wasn't that busy at all. We ordered the new Dulce De Leche Milkshake which the worker was confused on their own product and finally realized "Oh the Carmel Shake". Well yeah it's called Dulce De Leche on the menu xD but whatever. We ordered One Grilled Chicken and One Crunchy Chicken Quesadilla Tacos along with Two Asada Quesadilla Tacos and the dude got the Value nachos which looked like crap but tasted fresh and decent. I was not happy with the presentation as it just looked like they threw the beans, green chile and cheese sauce up there without care! 2/10. The flavor was on point. The Grilled Chicken Quesadilla Tacos 8/10 was huge and filling! It was tasty and paired well with their mild salsa sauce packets. I would honestly get it again. I was not too big on their Crunchy Chicken as it is just a two deep fried chicken tenders, very underwhelming for sure 7/10 and i'm being nice. The staff experience was minimal it just feels like everyone is in a rush these day so the customer service wasn't that great. I understand it is drive thru but JEEZ! Overall, i'm like luke warm on returning. Del Taco is good! But I honestly prefer my authentic restaurants better than fast food Mexican food. I won't say "I'll never return" but it is like on my bottom of the list. Not a bad experience but it wasn't the best. Where did I go to get a burger on national burger day? Del taco of course! I tried a cheeseburger from del taco years ago and found it pretty disgusting, something akin to a McDonald's cheeseburger. (Not that there isn't a time and place for one of those.) I got a double cheeseburger yesterday and honestly it's one of my favorite burgers now. It looked truly unimpressive when I opened the packaging, but it was delicious. I also tried their new crunchy chicken taco with habanero flavor. It was completely unnecessary and devoid of anything worth mentioning. Their other options were amazing as usual. Lastly, I ordered delivery for the first time. Turns out they partner with door dash. My order arrived about 30 minutes later than initially projected. Everything was lukewarm at best and none of the crunchy things were crunchy. I won't get delivery again. read more

Where do I start? I don't leave a lot of reviews, but when the food is just bad, I feel people need to know, especially because we are paying such a high price for drive-through food now! I ordered two cheeseburgers and a medium french fry, which was right at $20, The burger buns were dry and tough, the patties were tasteless and super chewy, they do use Roma tomatoes on their burgers, now...? I actually dislike the burger so much that I didn't even eat the second one because it was exactly the same, what a waste of time and money, Stick with In-N-Out Burger, at least you know it's worth the wait and the money spent... I like having a burrito from Del Taco once in awhile. When I walk in though at 7:40 pm and get asked to place my order to go, tells me this location lacks customer service. Del Taco used to be one of my go-to spots for fast, non-authentic Mexican food. They recently advertised, claiming their classic and spicy chicken burrito is now "50%" more chicken, which is a bunch of rubbish. So now you will be paying more and getting the same or less amount of chicken as advertised. Service was horrible too; the boss lady seemed grumpy and overwhelmed with her crew members, I guess due to the new trainees. My advice is to go to the Vallarta supermarket and make your own bigger and better burritos, especially when they have their own house-made Sonoran-style tortillas. I just got the "Cali Bacon Burrito" with carne asada and added guacamole (no sour cream) and it was one of the best burritos I've ever had. I've had burritos all over California and several from the best places in San Diego and this one tasted better and fresher than all of them. I have never had Del taco. I door dash as a side job for extra income when i arrived at del taco for a door dash order. The workers stated that they had closed in a very rude way they watched me stand outside before opening the door and telling me that the store is closed. I have had many fast food places close before i picked up an order but they have always stayed open till i or others arrive. Del taco is The worse when it comes to door dasher drivers. read more

Just to start out this is our favorite fast food right around the corner from our house. I have no car right now because of it being in the shop so we walked over here. We were told that it was open until eight on the inside. we got here at 6:45 and it was closed. Someone let us in and we were able to order. Someone else came at seven and they told them they were closed. The sign on the door says open till eight. If you are going to advertise open till eight you should stay open till eight and not close early. Multiple people have tried to get in since we got here. My first update since 2017. Since discovering the worldly wonders of DoorDash, I have ordered from Del Taco Clovis 172 of the past 191 nights for dinner. Since my all-time favorite Mexican food restaurant (El Torro) shut down several years ago for whatever reason still unknown to all of their biggest supporters, Del Taco is my go to fix for great Mexican food. They put Taco Bell to absolute shame and it's not even close. Besides Taco Bell's Cheesy Gordita Crunch they have been absolutely worthless for decades and often get rid of their most popular menu items. Yeah, makes perfect sense, right? Del Taco is always ADDING to their vast and wonderful menu, not removing things like that other ridiculous place. For you old timers like me, remember the Bell Beefer that Taco Bell so STUPIDLY got rid of? No problem. Order a Bun Taco from Del Taco and you'll get all of that glory you have craved for so long. Tired of Taco Bell's skimpy little tacos with 2 strands of cheese? Order the "Del Taco" and you will be floored. A real taco, soft or hard packed to the absolute max with beef, lettuce, tomato and a TON of shredded, delicious cheese. Del Taco has HOME MADE guacomole instead of that green goop from their rival. And unlike Taco Bell, Del Taco actually still serves TOSTADAS something Taco Bell ditched for absolutely asinine reasons because of the boxes they came in like they tried with the Mexican Pizza. But Del Taco's "Crunchtadas" are sooooooooo much better and of course packed to the max. In short, just trust me. Ditch Taco Bell immediately and give Del Taco a chance. It's so much better, it's not even close. The one and only thing I can say better about Taco Bell is they serve Pepsi products, which is a large and far superior line than the absolutely pathetic and nauseating Coke products that Del Taco and most restaurants serve for whatever reason. Had to repeat myself several times, the to get to the window and see it is the Shift Manager who's first initial is E (May 7th at 9pm) blew me away. Drive through only open til 10...how strange. especially with the dining room open longer (or maybe 24 hours? I'll have to check the signs next time. Anyways, I stopped by about a week after this location opened and went through the drive through at around 9:57pm. I am super thankful that I made it (it was a long day and the first meal I had all day), because I was a bit hangry. There were three people in front of me in line-including a HUGE Clovis style truck that ended up taking away two full bags of food. Still, even with a huge order ahead of me, my food was fresh and ready when I drove up to the window. The order was accurate, and the staff was friendly. I really do love this chain.. If I have to get fast food, Del Taco makes my top five list.. I'm super thrilled to have one on this side of the Fresno/Clovis metropolitan area, and really hope they keep up the fast and accurate service. First time at the clovis location today, ordered 9 of the value tacos I believe they are the 3 for 1.29$ ones on tuesdays and 4jumbo shrimp tacos 2 for 4.50$ .... we'll let me start with drive through is a freakin disaster!!! Only 4 cars ahead of me yet from driving into drive through and receiving my food took 45minutes!? Hmmmm thought this was drive through not curb side to go. Ridiculous wait time especially if they know every Tuesday is taco Tuesday get with the program and speed stuff up. Food taste wise... food was great for 13$ the tacos taste better then Taco Bell's for the price you pay yet the tacos are not what is advertised you received like half the taco insides then the advertised picture very skimpy and not consistent... but the "hot" hot sauce is so good and yes very hot!!! My family and I have always been a fan of Del Taco, but it was so far from where we lived. Luckily, now there's one closer to us, so we can get our Fiesta Packs (6 Del Tacos + 6 1/2 lb. Bean & Cheese Burritos)! The other night we took our food to-go. The store, brand new, was clean and very nice! The staff was friendly, however our order took much much longer than it needed to, but it was their first day. To make up for it, the staff gave us two complimentary cookies. The food itself was good, satisfying and fulfilled the expectations of good, Mexican fast-food. It tasted very fresh and I definitely prefer it to that of Taco Bell. If you have the choice the Del Taco is much better than the Value Taco and the burritos are yummy! Also, they have crinkle-cut fries with combos! The only thing I would say is that I don't care for their hot sauces as much. Overall, it was a good experience and I will be back to see how service is in the months to come. read more

Even the crisp Del Taco was still crisp and it's at least a 10 minute drive from there to here. This is fast food tacos and burritos. As far as that goes, they do pretty good.
