Been here twice now. First time was ok food was good but staff product knowledge seemed lacking, but good enough to have us go back again today... And thats where the wheels fell off. The customer in front of us complained of no ice in the soda machine. Machine also lacked carbonation and in spite of this no staff posted a notice on the machine to this effect. We ordered an extra order of chips and queso after we had got our food. This took 14 mins to get after going to the counter and finding it had been there for best part of 10 without being called. Staff couldn't or wouldn't replace it or refund. Staff are generally in need of business training and customer service training. The system seems to need adjusting to allow things like chips and queso to be served instantly rather than being put in the queue... can't see us returning in a hurry.... read more

Horribly disappointed. Order $45 worth of food by Door Dash. Not only were multiple items missing from order, the items we did receive were wrong. Some missing things we paid for like sour cream. Quality of food was awful. We immediately called Del Taco and told them. Asked if they could at least send the missing items with Door Dash again, which being a Door Dash driver myself, know this can be done through the restaurant. Person in phone said we could come get the missing items. Explained I had no vehicle hence the use of Door Dash. Was told the people of front were "new" and just learning. Asked to speak with manager and was told I was speaking to the manager who's name was Rico. Well Rico told me I could pick up the missing items within 7 days. Absolute bull! I just paid you $45 plus door dash tip for literally half of what we ordered. Trust me, I will not only be back to it for a refund but will be speaking to a higher up than Rico!! read more

We pulled in the drive-thru 4 days ago. Only 7 cars were ahead of us and it took an entire hour just to make it to the window. However by the time I got to the window I had already walked over to sonic ordered a meal and ate it. I would of drove away sooner but there drive-thru has a curb making it impossible to escape. read more

The staff was great but the food was terrible, the food was over salted and the taco shell was very soggy (I ate there) the meat had no flavor and the sauce (which is on display) tasted burnt. It is possibly one of the worst restaurants I've been to for tacos. read more

I used to live in Corona, CA where Del Taco is a staple in everyone's diet. I've spent the last three years hoping Del would open a location in Oly/Lacey/Tumwater/somewhere much closer than Federal Way. Every time I drove by a new place that was about to open I would say, "It better be a Del Taco," and it would always end up being a Starbucks. But, finally Lacey has a Del Taco and I couldn't be more stoked. Today is their fifth day open and I've been there three times! The best items are: deluxe chili cheese fries, spicy jack chicken quesadilla, half-pound bean and cheese burrito - make it bold (making it "bold" means they add french fries and secret sauce to the burrito and it's only about 30 cents extra, and it's awesome), and really everything there is good. I always tell people their value taco is whatever, but the "Del Taco" (larger taco) is a great value. They have so many new items on the menu; I can't wait to try ALL of them. The prices are great, especially compared to the oddly-expensive and inferior Taco Time. So far the service is great especially for a brand new location. Thank you for moving to Lacey, Del Taco! Waited a couple weeks after they opened because well when you first open theres issues and I figured they would have the kinks worked out. We stoped in late night on a weekday. The wait was INSANELY long. Luckily we looked at an online menu so we new what we wanted. The green wet burrito and a couple del tacos and another taco that also has a tortilla along with the queso fried. Yes this taco place sells fried a burgers? Weird I know. Taste wise everything was basic, my tacos were fairly bland. They load the tacos up with SOO much cheese, I'm not complaining I love cheese. The ingredients however bland were fresh tasting which is great for fast food! They even do fresh sliced avocado, a nice touch. Fiancé said his wet burritos was good but not satisfying. When we were ordering we had asked the lady if the fried came with sour cream ( the fiancé HATES sourcream) she said she would check- she came back and said "you are in luck that one doesn't". Well just our luck she was wrong, after waiting a good 25 minute we got our food pulled out and went to try our fries and had to turn around. At this point they had locked the inside so we had to wait in line AGAIN. Of course there alert thing for the drive thru wasn't working so the wait was even longer than before. We waited another 35 min in line just to get a replacement. In reality they should have ran us out our fries and not made us wait in line. It was irritating none the less. All that waiting and i can tell you if your looking for a "fresher" fast food taco spot just go to taco time. That being said I have friends that like this place so just give it a try! This place had horrible service and the employees are rude to each other. I can hear them yelling and arguing amongst each other as there are customers in the store. I also feel they lack experienced workers. read more

Ordered a beef burrito meal. Maybe Its supposed to be this way, but this beef burrito had literally NOTHING but beef in it. Can you just scoop beef into a tortilla and call it a burrito? Grew up in SoCal and was so excited to have found a a del taco here! Definitely did not leave a good taste in our mouths. Pulled up to the drive thru, they have a sign that says "now open 24 hours!" Which doesn't matter if there is no one to run the drive thru. Literally sat in the drive thru for about 5 minutes without any response. Drove through the drive thru to see if maybe the microphone was busted or their speaker box was broken. NO ONE WAS AT THE WINDOW. Like there was literally no one home at del taco. We saw not one employee inside. We're currently sitting next door at Sonics waiting for our food to come out. BECAUSE THERE ARE PEOPLE WORKING HERE. Crazy me to think that when you're hired somewhere and are getting paid that you should actually be working. read more

This was the First time in this restaurant. I stopped in to pick up two shrimp tacos. I waited for 20 minutes and did not get the order. So at this point I went to find out what happened. No one initially wanted to wait on me. Next They had thought the order had been filled then realized two orders at the same time had been made my myself and another customer. The first got filled mine did not. Next the order was fill then given to the drive thru. Then the order was fill after another complaint by me. 25 minutes later I got the order with out inquiry by the management what the problem Was. I was nit happy with the treatment as a customer. It was almost like it was my fault. Food was reasonable but I will never return to this location. read more

Went in to order my food. Took 20 minutes to complete. Half of my fries were cold. Value taco had 1/2 of what I usually get from other Del Tacos. Fish in fish taco was cold. One of my wife's been and cheese burritos had a hair in it. Beans did not taste like what we usually expect. I really like Del Taco, but this location is struggling. I counted 10 employees, and one manager and they still couldn't get it right. Couldn't even figure out what orders they had completed. I saw at least three separate people bring back incorrect orders. Was really excited to have a Del Taco in this area, but not sure I will ever go back to this location. read more

The slowest fast food restaurant in the country. It shouldn't take over 20 minutes to get few tacos when the lobby only has ten people in it. There is absolutely no sense of urgency on the employees there. It's a shame because the food isn't half bad read more

Hit the drive thru just before the lunch rush today on their first day open and they did not disappoint my expectations from growing up eating there. Employees, from cashiers to the ones making the food did great, especially for it being the first day. Del Taco was a staple growing up in California. I was excited to hear that Del Taco was opening up a store in Olympia. However, I have been disappointed the few time I have visited. The food quality is roughly the same as you would get at California locations but the service is lacking. It takes a long time to get your order and sometimes the order comes out wrong or an item is missing. I really hope this location and get their act together and turn things around. read more
