Tried using this coupon in the app. The code doesn't work. You can scan it properly but you get nothing. You HAVE to cut out and use paper. That means bringing the sheet of coupons with you in your car. I hate that! Why even bother having that in the app as an option? Service was good and food is good and I like the way that they can follow the same recipe for a franchise. I like a good bean & cheese burrito. I also like their tostada. The specialty drinks run really sweet, but their shakes are wonderfully balanced and a great dessert. Try the churros with the vanilla shake (I like to dip them)! My neighborhood location, and overall pretty good. I definitely prefer Del Taco to Taco Bell, so when I'm in a rush and need to grab a quick burrito (or their tasty fish tacos), this is often where I'm going. They keep the place nice and clean, and I've always found the service solid. I got a carne asada epic burrito here last week and was actually impressed with the flavor, the size, and I dug the fries inside the burrito. It was out quick, too. Altogether, it's fast food, so don't expect the same flavor as your local taqueria. But it's a pretty tasty burrito nonetheless :) The parking lot nearby is tiny, and has several businesses it serves, so there isn't much room to park. Worst experience I've EVER had at ANY fast food restaurant! This restaurant claims to be open 24 hours. I pulled into the drive through around 4am wanting to get s few tacos. The lights in the building were on and I could see people inside, but I sat at the speaker for about 10 minutes saying "hello?" before some rude ass punk finally answered and said "we're on our 30 minute break". WTF?? I came back 45 minutes later and this time, got no response at all. So I drove around to the window and knocked. Again, all lights on and obvious that people were in the kitchen. After several minutes, I saw some young ditz poke her head out to see if we were still there, then when she saw me looking at her, she started giggling and ducked back out of view. I tried calling the restaurant phone, and someone just answered and immediately hung up. By now it was beyond clear that I'd never order any sort of food from these clowns, but I wanted to look these punks in the face, so I sat there knocking on the window until the little bastard finally came to the window. I asked him what sort of game he and the girl were playing. He told me that they were on their 30 minute breaks. I told him I'd been through an hour prior and gotten the same excuse and then asked what genius decided it was ok for both employees to be on a break at the same time. He then told me that the giggler was technically off her break but "didn't speak any English". I responded in flawless Spanish and called BS on that excuse. Not sure who hired these two comedians, but they need to be sent packing in a hurry. Okay so I know this isnt 5 star restaurant so I'm not expecting amazing food or ground breaking service, but I do expect human decency. I went here twice during my lunch break to pick up a quick meal and the first time I arrive they forget a couple of things but by the time I notice I was already far and couldnt drive back to this location. So I tried calling them a few times but their phone number had a weird answer machine and would not pick up. I came the next day to explain to either get my food that they forget or get a refund, however the woman with the nose ring was very rude and unprofessional. I showed her the receipt and pointed out the food that was missing in my order and she replies with that is my fault for not checking the bag, calling the store the day it happen, and/or not coming back the same day to pick it up. I explained I was on a lunch break and couldnt return the same day and I tried calling numerous times and even showed her the call history. She was very condescending, even when her coworker explained to her they did receive numerous call the previous day she still acted like it wasnt her problem. Her answer to fixing my issue was to come another day because the manager is in break and that they cant do anything. All I was asking for was the food they forget or a refund but apparently working was to much for her and her attitude got progressively worst and so did mine. So, I got home at eleven last night and hadn't had anything but a sandwich at noon-thirty, so I decided to finally give Del Taco a try, what with being a Taco Bell guy for years when I want cheap and weird Mexican food. I held out little hope, especially after reading some reviews here, but then again, I should know by now to never listen to reviews here, especially ones that don't ever mention the food, which is, I don't know, kind of the point? So, I ordered two Del Taco tacos (the kind with "more of everything") and the taco salad. It arrived really quickly, I must say. I started with the tacos and surprise of surprises, I kind of liked them better than taco bell. The beef seemed more like, well, beef and everything seemed very fresh. Then onto the taco salad and that was excellent, with fresh guacamole and sour cream etc. So, this was a nice and pleasant discovery and I'll now try some other items. This is a great Del Taco, from my experience, which has been all late night drive-through situations. The guy(s) who takes my order, whoever it is on any given night, is always awesome - not a lot of chit chat which I appreciate, just does an efficient job. I always order a bunch of different items and they always get my order perfect. On the rare occasions I've pre-ordered through the Del Taco app first, my experience has been great as well - I'd just mention that in the drive-thru speaker and they tell me to just drive right ahead to the pick up window. My order always tastes great too - feels HOT and fresh. Del Taco is one of my favorite fast foods, and this location is one of the best I've stopped at. They've messed up every other order I've had either forgetting part of my order or having poor customer service. I'll always prefer the Del to the Bell, but this location definitely gives Del Taco as a chain a bad rep. The food quality is usually decent though, but they do seem to skimp on the Macho level of meals... A regular and Macho fry should not be the same size lol The Beyond Tacos and Burritos here are usually solid even when falling apart.... The parking lot is small and this location is kind of in an awkward setup overall... Like please tell me who designed this location. If you want to experience the worst customer service experience in all of Los Angeles.... visit this Del Taco. On the evening of January 14th, 2020 (tuesday night) ... the employees of this location laughed at me when I showed them a DEAD FLY in my taco. On this very same night, they let the drive-thru back up (10-13 cars deep) and then turned off the microphone/ order-kiosk. So, picture this in your mind, 12 cars, all stuck in line -- and no way to communicate with the employees inside. After 10-15 minutes of no movement, no orders, the customers were honking and screaming "just let us out!". The car at the window didn't want to leave because they were the last car that was able to order. So 11 cars behind that car were trapped. The staff inside was laughing (I got out of my car and went to look inside to see what was going on). They had the doors locked and were laughing at the train of trapped cars. People in the middle of the line were stuck for around 25 minutes until all the cars coordinated a mass-backup and we all left in reverse. As we left we saw the staff laughing. I came back later to see what was going on and they offered me a free taco (this taco had the fly in it. Not sure what's going on at this place but it's an actual hell on earth. read more

In my opinion, a restaurant that advertises as a "fast food" place should have to EARN the use of the term. It would be great if random shoppers went in and placed a few orders and averaged out the time it takes to 1) Wait, 2) Order, and 3) Receive food. I get that we are paying a dollar for a taco, but every other location I've been to has always given a crunchy shell-- not something that's rubbery and tastes a week old.
