This place has been around for about 29 years in the same location, so they must be doing something right. I have been coming here myself for over 20 years as I used to work right next door to this restaurant. Their food has not changed a bit, still great red salsa, meat is always fresh, beans are delicious and the rice good. I have eaten their Tortas, Burritos, Tacos, Gorditas, Beef Soup Etc. Etc. Etc. and everythinh I have ever had here has been great. Never have I had a bad meal for either Lunch or a Quick Dinner. There are many locations under the same name and quite honestly this is by far the best location, I have eaten in other locations and even though the bame is the same the quality of taste is different. Not to mention that the salsa bar is right next to the door where car fumes can flow inside and on the salsa. I don't know if I would come back here unless I'm jonesing for tacos. So I ordered tripas, cabeza & lengua. It took about 10-15 minutes for them to prepare my tacos. I think the meat might have been sitting so long that they needed to heat it back up again. I did notice that the tripas took a while to prepare. When I took a bite of it, I knew why. They cooked it on the flattop until it had a crisp to it. It kind of reminded me of pork skin. It had a nice taste and crunch to it. Definitely different from what I am used to eating. Most other places make it on the soft side. The cabeza and lengua was just ok. I absolutely LOVE this place!!! They have the best tacos de tripas anywhere. Everything here is delicious, but the tripas and pastor are the best I've ever tasted. I really like how on weekend nights they have the taco guy and tables outside, specially in the summer. It gives the place a really chill, laid back feel.
