The best shrimp tacos I've ever had, offers a relaxed atmosphere and has big-screen TVs, perfect for watching games while you eat. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the place's welcoming atmosphere.

I haven't been here in years and wanted to come back today while I was in Sherman Oaks. They have efficient service and the food is decent. I love the salsa bar and most are mild enough for me to eat.

Originally opened in 1984 in Studio City, Poquito Más has become a SoCal staple. This Sherman Oaks location is the 4th installment of the family run chain. Currently there are seven stores throughout LA, with six being within 20 miles of each other. I have been eating Poquito Más since the 90's, and it has always been a good product. The petito menu items are great. They're just enough to fill you up, but not stuff you. The petito chicken and steak taco size are perfecto! Also good is the petito bean & cheese burrito. Everything is advertised as fresh, and the salsa bar is loaded. Poquito Más has always been good and the different locations I've been to seem to be consistent. I don't think you can go wrong with Poquito Más.

Tortillas a Mano super Ricas. Definitely loved the carnitas taco. not to salty definitely tasty. The steak burrito was thick big and juicy with everything on it beans cheese pico de gallo and rice. Super delicious. The salsas has a nice spice. Service was fast. And the ambiance was cool relaxing.

Sherman Oaks location has a large indoor seating area as well as a medium outdoor area. Both spaces are nice and clean. The staff is always nice and friendly. They do their best to get the food out to you as soon as possible. The food is yummy and fresh. The best part is definitely the fresh made flour tortillas. We love to seat at the counter to watch them make the tortillas. The have a good selection of salsa's to choose from depending the spice level. The only downside side for me, is that the restrooms are locked and you need to ask for a code to use them. I can understand why they might want to do that, but it in the long run it's just a hassle for the customer.

This so the greatest restaurant! It is always so clean!!! The food is always above perfect! The staff is so so so friendly they are like family! Letty and Carmen and the entire crew are the greatest humans! They take extra care of you and go above and beyond! Every restaurant should be like this.

Santa Fe Shrimp San Lucas Tazon Good size shrimp & amazing homemade tortillas!!!

Great customer service! The menu is pretty big so take your time ordering because there's so many good options I tried the Santa Fe shrimp platter and the shrimp tostado salad, both delicious. If you're used to softer crispy tostado bowls then maybe this isn't the place for it. Salsa bar access and comfy seating area. I wish they made homemade aqua Fresca but nonetheless still a good spot for lunch. Small parking lot.

Literally the only time I buy burritos. They are so good and fresh. The meat doesn't taste like dog food for once.

I had to get use to sipping my margarita like a civilized person, rather than gulping it down. We started with the queso fundido. Too bad it cools so quickly and is so thick. It had a trio of salsas on top. And the chips are excellent. They brought us plenty of refills on chips. We ordered the salsa sampler. Three different salsas in tiny ramekins. All tasty, but usually Mexican restaurants give you salsa and chips for free. We had to spend $18. I had a chile rellano unlike any I have had before. A lot of black beans, a blistered chile and some cojita cheese sprinkled on top. I am used to a chile rellano filled with cheese. It was just okay. My husband had the carne aside. Basically a steak and roasted potatoes. Nice steak, but nothing Mexican about it. The potatoes were ordinary. Our guest ordered AGUACHILE DE CHAYOTE squash, pineapple aguachile, cilantro macho. She wanted a vegetarian option. This was a cold soup. She had no idea what she was getting. I guess we should have asked. All in all the menu is confusing. I have eaten Mexican food throughout LA and travelled extensively in Mexico, and this was all very new to me. They did tell us at the beginning that things were good to share. This would have been a good sharing dish with the chips. It was very unusual. The dessert flan was very tasty with pecans and a crispy churro like garish. We would have like a little more explanation on the menu of what we were ordering. Every item is unexpected and out of the ordinary. Daisy is a good place to go for a taste adventure, good margaritas and a hefty bill.

Lovely spot for Mexican food with fun vibes!…read more I came for Sunday brunch/lunch with some friends. I made a reservation through Yelp a couple days beforehand and there was plenty of availability. The restaurant is located right off Ventura Blvd and has an attached parking garage in the basement which can be accessed via the parking lot behind the restaurant. There were plenty of spots available Sunday afternoon when I came. It's a bit hidden, but there is an elevator from the garage to the top level where the restaurant is located as well. We had two babies in strollers with us, so I requested a table with plenty of space nearby for the strollers. They seated us outside on their covered patio, and indeed, we had plenty of space. I peeked inside and there's also a nice lounge area with a beautiful flower wall as well as a proper dining area. When we arrived, there was a live DJ spinning tunes. I assume he's there during brunch hours, as he left around 3 pm when brunch ended. I started with a frozen lime margarita ($12). It was okay; it felt like it was only half frozen as the ice wasn't blended that well. For my main, I got the famous Anejo carne asada and shrimp plate for $40. Yes it was pricy, but the portion size was also huge! I was starving and somehow managed to finish the plate, but it'd be a great dish to share for two people with small appetites. I really enjoyed it as well. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare, and they didn't overcook it. Each bite was super tender and flavorful and paired well with the rice. Everyone else also enjoyed their dish. One friend got the wet chicken burrito for $15 and it was massive! Another got the veggie fajitas with steak added and really enjoyed her dish as well. Solid food all around. I would love to come back on a weekday and try their happy hour! Sipping on $5 margaritas and $6 sangrias sounds like my idea of a great time!

If you grew up in LA like I did, this was definitely THE spot...and honestly, it still is. The interior is packed with old school charm: dim lighting, warm red and yellow accents, cozy booths, and a dining room that's instantly recognizable. But don't sleep on the outdoor patio either. It's absolutely beautiful, complete with its own bar and plenty of seating for those perfect evenings out. Casa Vega is famous for its margaritas and classic Mexican American comfort food. It's not outright authentic, but it's nostalgic and hasn't changed for decades. During my last visit, I kept it simple with a cheese enchilada, a perfectly medium rare cooked steak taco, and spicy beans and rice. While each item was simple, it was done perfectly. Definitely get the combination so you can try a little bit of everything. Like I said earlier, For me Casa Vega is all about nostalgia. The familiar flavors, the atmosphere, and those feel good vibes that keep people coming back year after year. It's a staple because we all grew up with it so if you're someone here dining for the first time, keep that in mind. Last pro tip: there is $10 valet parking which honestly saves you from trying to find parking on the main boulevard so I would say just go with it.

Casa Vega has been on my "legendary" list for a long time. After finally visiting, I'd say it was…read moremore of a one-time experience for me. Let's start with logistics: parking is valet only unless you manage to find street parking on very busy Ventura Blvd. When we arrived, we stood waiting for a bit without being acknowledged. When the hostess came over, there wasn't even a simple "hello," just "How many?" and "Do you have a reservation?" It's a small detail, but hospitality starts with a greeting. The ambience is undeniably cool -- dark, classic, very old-school LA. It has character. Food-wise, it was inconsistent. The albondigas soup leaned salty -- maybe it had reduced over time, maybe just my taste preference. The fajitas were actually the opposite: pretty bland. On the plus side, they weren't overcooked, which is common at many places. The cuts were large, not overloaded with onions (which I appreciated), but also not much chicken. The guacamole had a slight sour note. Not terrible, but enough to question how fresh it was. Our server, however, was great. Attentive, professional, and the highlight of the experience. The menu font is quite small, which makes it difficult to read in the dim lighting. And the payment terminal comes with a tip percentage already selected -- that always feels a bit uncomfortable. I'm glad I checked it off my list, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return or recommend it strongly. It feels like Casa Vega survives mostly on nostalgia and reputation rather than today's execution.
