Stopped by this Del Taco for a quick drive thru run. I ordered two Del Tacos (no tomatoes) and a cup of ice. Service was fast and the worker was polite, which made the experience smooth. As for the food, the tacos were nicely stuffed, which I appreciated and is honestly a reason I'd go back. Flavor wise, they were a bit on the mild side, and the taco sauce had a decent spice but didn't really elevate things. overall kind of a mid taste. Not the best tacos, but definitely edible. One small downside the "cup of ice" ended up being more like a tiny sippy cup. Not a big deal, but definitely a side eye moment. Total came out to $5.42, which isn't bad at all for a quick stop. This location is in a shopping center, so there's no outdoor seating, but there is space to eat inside. Overall, a solid, quick option if you're in a rush. read more

I don't know what has happened to the chain of Del Tacos!! I tried the location in La Verne twice. Both times my taco shells were stale and not much food inside them. The fries were not crisp nor very hot. They use to make the best fries than any other fast food establishment. They would come out crispy, hot and with the just right amount of salt. The building on the outside looks like it hasn't been painted in over 10 years. It just looks sad. The Del Taco in Glendora went out of business. We've been going here for years and honestly, what can you expect from Del Taco? You're not gonna get a taco full of meat or a burrito full of beans you're gonna get Del Taco! So in my opinion, this Del taco is good! You don't have to spend a ton of money and you get some tasty fast food. The service has always been good and our orders have always been correct. Not a fan of this Del Taco location. First of all, they're SUPPPSED TO BE open 24 hours. However, I've been here at least 3 times (not between 3:30-5:30 am) and they were closed. It looked open, and there were workers inside, but no one answered at the drive thru. Second, I got there one time at 3:25am and they said they were closed (they said they close from 3:30-5:30 to clean the grills). It's really hard to tell if this location will be open when you get there, even if you had a Magic 8 Ball, it's really hard to predict if they'll be open or not... you'd have to be a psychic to know! I went through the drive thru of this location. I will say overall my food was good. I asked for 2 grilled chicken tacos with guac. I did love that they weren't stingy with the guacamole. Longer than usual, from what I would expect at a del taco. I didn't go inside so I can't comment on the cleanliness or the inside of the store. Been going to this location for almost 10 years now, and while no place is perfect, this comes close. The staff have always been courteous, help, and just plain nice. Sabrina the manager has always been helpful if an issue arises (not as common as some reviews would have you believe) and fair when handling gray area matters as in all things, shit happens. I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at this "restaurant". Drove way out of my way to go to this particular location after a long night in the Emergency Room. Wait in the drive through line. Order my good. Wait some more. I get to the window and when the worker gives me my total I hand her a $50 dollar bill. She immediately states that they don't accept bills over $20 dollars after 10 PM. I was like wait....what? Are you serious? (I thought I was on an episode of Punked or something) but no, she was deadpan serious. And so since that was my only method of payment available, I just had to leave without my food altogether. I mean, this isn't even a $100 dollar bill here. It's a $50 dollar bill for crying out loud. And when you're charging $15 dollars for a basic meal combo, you have the audacity to reject a $50, that just makes absolutely no sense at all. Basically got accused of lying when I came into the restaurant after they forgot 2 of my tacos in the drive thru. When I told the lady what was missing she said "I know I put those in there" with a big attitude. I told her I didn't know what to tell her but they aren't in there. On two separate occasions, I've seen cones blocking the drive thru even though the location specifically states on their building, Yelp, and Google that they're 24 hours(which they really are).
