Yes, I called immediately and solved it but I guess they couldn't be bothered to contact me OR return my email. So much for loyalty . Unfortunately a mistake was made by their office and it resulted in my losing a $500 discount, I called the office and tried to resolve the issue but was constantly told we are working on it. I realized the employees of the agency had no interest in helping instead were probably hoping I would get tired of calling and forget about the money. It was then as a business owner myself that I realized I should just speak directly with Joe Schneider, the agency owner and hopefully reach some sort of settlement. I spent the next 2 months writing and or calling the agency. Each time only requesting to speak with Mr. Schneider. I was told he wasn't in the office, and he would get back to me. He even sent several emails saying he realized his office made a mistake and he would call within the week. Each time he didn't call. After almost 3 months he finally called and apologized for the delay and acknowledging he could have done better. Unfortunately they were never able to compensate for the lost discount. I understand the process and I can understand the inability to reach a resolution but I cannot understand why an owner of a business would not at least call a loyal and respectful customer. Especially one who was frustrated by not, at least, being able to talk with the boss (owner) about this. I can accept the loss of the discount but I cannot accept the fact that the owner Joe Schneider wouldn't at least talk to me. Imagine if I had a real problem. I expect a certain minimum amount of customer service and I was very sorry to see that after being a good customer for 20 years. There are a lot of Allstate agencies I will transfer my account to another one. Hopefully they will appreciate their commission and provide at least a minimum of customer service. I would not recommend Joe Schneider agency at all. They are only to happy to write a policy but not willing to at least to pretend they care about the customer. Or provide a minimum of customer service such as returning phone calls in a timely manner.

Specifically Peter Gottstein ignored office admin's email trying to resolve issues. Then when I left the company and he was still listed as financial adviser on my 401k I contacted him to find out what my options were with my 401k. It took 3 emails to finally get a response. He briefly listed off my options- one of which was to withdraw the money and pay tax and a 10% penalty on it. SO I did that because I didn't have another 401k to roll it over into and didn't care to open one. He immediately pawned my requests off to his assistant who knew nothing about our 401k plan, nor had access to it. Turned out I took a 75% penalty plus taxes! He didn't mention the vested interest hitch I would incur if I withdrew the funds. That would have been nice to know! He's a prick. THis company is BS. DOn't bother if you care about your money.
