The Inn is located behind the beautiful Longshore Golf course. The outside looks like a quaint New England Inn and boasts spectacular views of the Long Island Sound. The view from inside the large reception/ dining area with its floor to ceiling windows is wonderful, ideal for watching a sunrise or sunset anytime of year. Or full moon! The space fit many tables and also left a spot for dancing. The tables were tastefully decorated. The ou'dourves were fresh, unique, and delicious and the staff were professional and courteous. The desserts served were undeniably fantastic. There were 2 bars available and the bartenders kept things moving well. I would jump at the chance to return and would highly recommend.

I certainly attended some excellent indoor formal events there, and occasionally I went there casually to the back bar to socialize, and I definitely played a good amount of golf there as well. I absolutely liked the place a lot! Very beautiful!

We're now thinking of trying another hotel branch next time. The dog bowls/treat station are always dirty and never filled up. I don't let my dog drink from public water bowls. However, we arrived and I saw the water was 1/3 filled. The next morning, same water. Usually they're empty when we come in but pet friendly isn't a word I'd call EVEN. Especially now that they raised their prices to $100 per pet stay. My husband came up to Norwalk during a quick visit and had a tick on him from the bed. Another stay, a group of people were hanging out by the elevators (which our room was next to) and they were having a party at 1am. It was so loud. I called the front desk and they immediately came up and told the people they need to leave and they can't be doing this. It sounded like the staff knew these people and they have done this before. And don't get me started on the elevators. Being that we visit CT 2-3 times a year, we noticed the right elevator has been broken every visit. It's like they're refusing to fix the problem. EVEN is just not the same as it used to be. The nickel and diming while not taking care of the property is just sad.

We waited for 15 minutes at least to get checked on while the " New Guy" Kenny dealt with other people there was a girl at the desk who ignored me. The Staff seemed very , Matter Of Fact as if they couldn't be bothered by Complaints since I requested a room with a bathtub and we were put in a room with a tiny bathroom and Huge SHOWER they told me it had a bath tub it Didn't! Our view was of the Noisy train and train tracks which blew my mind for the &1,500 I aid for the room . It was DUSTY , the shower was Dirty and there were at least 4 broken doors and cabinets with No closet! Of course I COMPLAINED and was told there weren't any managers working on a Thursday evening??? We weren't told we had to pay $20/ day for parking and the garage was crowded with no safe way for cars to get up and down at the same time one weekend night the cars were Valet packed in like Sardines! We finally heard from the Manager ( Ashley) the next evening offering to move us upstairs but that they had to charge me for a Sevond room ( still waiting for the first $1,500 to go back into my account! The room was Much Nicer but dirty windows and dusty, the kitchen was large and the bed was Much More Comfortable, the bathroom was large and Clean so I was happy about that. The first night I went to sit on the couch and the Leg Broke ( Im only 133 lbs!) and the guy that came up spoke broken English and didn't know what to do! We had a puppy in the room who almost got HURT and I had Sprained my ankle and was lucky I didn't get hurt when the couch crashed down! The area was just plain TERRIBLE and my husband had to take the dog out because I was Afraid for my safety in the area its in and we tried a few restaurants in the area that were also over priced and very disappointing.. Ashley was also very rude and made excuses for the charges for parking etc The halls were Dirty on the entryways from the garage and I almost triped on one of the Carpets! I will NEVER GO BACK WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY SO UPSET AT HOW THE WHOLE THING TURNED OUT!

They are doing some maintenance on the stair/decking and it was right outside our room, the staff was very apologetic about the noise and assured us it would only be another hour or two. We planned to spend the day at the property's private beach. The staff recommended we head to the public beach about a 10 minute walk from the hotel because it is nicer and has restrooms. During the college season the house on the walk to the private beach are of college kids and the beach may have some left over "party supplies" lol. We basically had the beach to ourselves. There is no lifeguard snd there are some shells right when you walk into the water but after the small patch of shells it was a sandy bottom. Room 27 Sand Dunes Studio is on the second floor on The back corner by the stairs. The room is well furnished. Please note if you are short you may need a running start to get into the very tall bed The bathroom is pretty small. There is a bar attached to the hotel that is open until late and you can feel the base from the music in the room but the AC drowned it out a little but if you're a little sleeper I recommend earplugs. I can imagine rooms 1, 2, 24, 25, 34, 35 are probably even louder. Also, you can hear noise from the 3rd floor room and adjoining room. Rooms 21-23 and 31-33 are probably the best they have balconies. The hotel also provides free ice on the 2nd floor and juice and muffins in the fridge. I would love to give this hotel 5 stars but the bar attached to the hotel is very loud, I would imagine in the summer it might be quieter since college isn't in session.

Shower was a bit difficult to figure out and is smaller than most others hotels, but they're generous with toiletries. I also appreciate the 3 hooks on the back of the bathroom door--- most hotels don't even have this. Families of 4 like mine never have enough hooks/ any place to hang towels when most hotels have just 1 towel rack. 4 blueberry muffins were in the mini fridge, with 4 bottles of orange juice, which is nice for having breakfast on our own schedule, but the inn website description should say that instead of saying Continental breakfast. Outlets are limited and no USB plugs like more modern hotels. Fluorescent lights are a nice touch. We didn't get Beach towels so can't comment on them.

The property is beautifully maintained, and the owners have done an exceptional job with the renovation, thoughtfully extending a warm, inviting atmosphere from the outdoors into the interior spaces. The staff is consistently friendly, accommodating, and attentive, always ensuring our needs are met with care and professionalism. Onsite restaurant Siena is a standout and never disappoints--offering flavorful, well-executed dishes in a welcoming setting with excellent service and a warm ambiance. While full breakfast service is not offered, a light continental breakfast is available, along with complimentary all-day coffee, which adds a thoughtful touch to the overall guest experience. I would highly recommend this property for both business and executive stays.

I SLEPT at the Watershed, which for those of you who travel for business will be able to appreciate. The cons: room service was awful. They share property with Siena, which I honestly thought would be amazing, and it was so not. I felt like I'd ordered from Uber Eats. $60 dollars later, got a paper bag with plastic everything. It was beyond disappointing. Another con: they offer complimentary breakfast, which yay, but it wasn't what I expected. This may well be a me thing, but every single hotel I've stayed in for years that promotes breakfast has a full hot breakfast...eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. The Warershed doesn't. It was continental, bagels, muffins, yogurt, etc. NOT bad per se; sharing this for anyone else who may have different expectations when they hear that a complimentary breakfast is being provided...If you are looking for a hot breakfast, skip the complimentary breakfast at the hotel and check out one of the local venues. In short, if you want a comfortable, great night's sleep, this is your hotel. Just don't plan to eat here.
