Cafe is located on East Carson in the beautiful South Side! They have a decent amount of seating. Only small groups 2-4 per table. I had a hazelnut latte, which was perfect and tried their parfait. Great southside coffee shop! They have a ton of different options for drinks and different types of milk to sub for dietary restrictions. I usually get the chai with oat milk, it's not overly sweet which I love. I only had a breakfast sandwich once, but it was good and did the job. The space here is great, big and open with seating on the lower level and a balcony. They have open garage doors too which makes it great for getting fresh air! read more

Service was awesome! Cool chill vibe with a cool loft. I just wish their breakfast sandwhich was as nice as the service. I also ordered a cortado which was on point. Hockey puck egg looked great, but didn't feel real. Bacon was not cooked well and due to the condition of the wet muffin, it seems like all the grease from the rare cooked bacon poured out to the wrapper back onto the sandwhich which killed the garlic aoili. Also overpriced at $9 for a small non fresh sammie. I would place this sandwhich a 4 out of 10. read more

Overall: it was okay. Wait time: Okay. Best if you're not in a rush. We were in a line with 4 parties of either one or two people. The person in front of us ordered a blended latte and waited 11 minutes. We ordered a vanilla latte, drip coffee, and two grilled cheeses. The wait time was about the same for more items. It made sense for our order but not for the guy in front of us. Food: they shouldn't be called gourmet grilled cheeses. They are oily pressed paninis with cheese. I don't mind an oily sandwich, sometimes it just means it's been buttered. In this case, it didn't help with either of the sandwiches (the Gouda and the state fair). The Gouda one was pretty decent and should just be moved over to the sandwich section. The state fair was something my college nephew has made me before from his dorm toaster oven. The cheese wasn't incorporated well with the sandwich (see pics) which I wouldn't expect for something from a grilled cheese menu. Coffee: unless it's the cold brew, not good. I've had the cold brew from here before and it was decent. The drip coffee, however, was watery, and the vanilla syrup used in the vanilla latte had a plastic aftertaste. For a place that serves specialty drinks, you'd think a three ingredient vanilla latte would be a pleasant experience. Not the case. Interior: Cute. Clean. Extra seating on the top floor. Not often does a coffee shop have a trifecta of good coffee, superb pastries and a nice ambience/good price point. This is a great study spot (there are outlets and various table sizes) but may get hot as there is no AC, only fans. Food: I got the curry and pea "samosa" (it's more like a calzone) which had an amazingly flaky crust and hefty portion of filling - 10/10. I also got the lemon poppy bread, which would be perfect for someone who likes their desserts less sweet. The bread wasn't very moist but still enjoyable - 8/10. There's paid parking along Carson, or you can park at one along one of the smaller, perpendicular streets. read more

I needed coffee to get me through a two hour drive home and I needed to charge my phone so this was clearly the place to come. The inside had a nice atmosphere and showcased local artists. I got a small mocha for $3.25 and it wasn't bad. Decent mocha that's leaps and bounds better than one you'd get at Starbucks. The baristas were great and didn't mind my friends and I sitting around with our coffees even when it was coming close to their closing time. The music wasn't super loud though that may change during the day and I can't attest to how well the sounds of conversation carry but there seemed to be a decent amount of places to sit if you wanted a change of scenery to get work done. Delanie's is a great local coffee shop. Just a few blocks from my apartment, it's a convenient stop when I need a caffeine fix. I've only ever ordered either an ice coffee or hot coffee but both are super affordable and pretty decent. I also like that unlike most chains they have simple syrup out for customers to use. All the staff I've interacted with have been super friendly and helpful. One thing that I'm not wild about is the lay out of this location. There's limited sitting on the first floor and not a lot of room upstairs. One issue that I have is that I have a gift card but their system doesn't accept it anymore which is pretty disappointing. Overall a great place to get a quick coffee. read more

Yum! Such a quaint place and I'm obsessed with the fact they let you have a piece of paper and just order your breakfast Sammie the way you want. It looks like the owner is working too. Unless the manager on staff that morning was just very passionate. I love when the owner is there on busy mornings. Wasn't a long wait and it was way easier to get food for brunch as compared to waffles InCaffeinated. We couldn't get in there ever. They had everything I wanted so I was happy about that. My friend and I came here in the wintertime during our finals week and I have to say, I have no regrets - even if bussing here from Oakland was a little stressful/time consuming! This environment has everything I want in a local coffeeshop. The smell of fresh coffee & baked goods. The wooden tables & large windows for natural lighting. The friendly staff & cozy atmosphere. I sat here for hours soaking in the good vibes while cramming for my final. I like that it closes sorta "late" (8pm) for a coffeeshop. I hate when I'm in the zone and I get kicked out of a cafe at 4pm. There's also many restaurants nearby on this street so you can quickly grab a bite and come back for a cup of coffee! My husband and I stopped in here the past two weekends for a to go latte to shake up the weekend! We had a seasonal honey oat latte which was delicious! They seem to have some great measures in place for covid like mobile ordering, etc. Their workers all had masks on but I didn't notice any customers wearing masks. We were in and out but I was super used to see so many people in there without masks with the rise in numbers. We had an AMPD group gift card, but they informed us they will no longer be part of AMPD group starting next week! Good for them. Will definitely be back for to go coffee! read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for our morning coffee. We decided to head to Delanie's Coffee because it was on the Pittsburgh Coffee Passport. Located right on E Carson St, it's quite easy to find. Even though it doesn't look like too much from the outside it's quite nice inside. It actually has two levels of seating with a bar and a few tables downstairs and then a couple of tables and comfy seats in a loft type area. The walls are made of brick which gives it a comfortable feel while the lighting is a combination of track lighting and can lights. They also have photos and artwork on the wall that is for sale. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a cappuccino while my wife went with a mocha. It was not crowded on the morning that we were there and so our coffees were ready quickly and we headed upstairs to drink them. My cappuccino ended up being pretty good. The coffee flavor of it was nice and smooth without any bitterness. It was the foam layer here that was interesting as it was quite dense and was more like a bone dry cappuccino than any other I have had. Yeah I had to do the Google in order to properly describe it and learned quite a bit. In any case, it was still enjoyable and my wife enjoyed her mocha as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My coffee was good and I am interested in trying a couple of their $7 Gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches which I only noticed whenever we were close to leaving. read more

On a Sunday afternoon, almost everyone who came in came with their laptops and was there to get some work done, so it wasn't particularly loud - Reasonably priced, made-to-order food (I didn't plan to eat there, but after smelling of the of food being cooked up, I tried the Sergent Peppers grilled cheese & it was served with chips for only 7 bucks) - Decent coffee at an expected price point - Solid tunes at a modest volume Cons: - I didn't notice too many power outlets, so come with your laptop charged if you plan to settle down to work - Coffee was medium quality, and my flat white (which was more of a latte) was piping hot and I had to wait 15 min before I could drink any of it I will come back again and give it another shot since it's a nice atmosphere to work/study in the South Side read more

Delanie's Coffee is one of South Side's many great local coffee shops! This is the perfect cafe to camp out in and study or catch up with a friend. It's decorated with art from local artists, and has a cool upper loft area to sit in where you can oversee the rest of the cafe. As for drinks, i recommend the house favorite. It taste JUST like coffee ice cream. If you're not in to something sweet, their cold brew is great as well! I add in one of their plant based milk options. The only downside is it can be hard to find seating, but that is out of their control. read more
